  1. I did a Barrows run right after finishing the quest. Your prayer is still drained at the same rate as before.
  2. Because it doesn't boost your Magic level in your skills tab, it probably doesn't boost max hit. However, it does lower your opponents magic level while raising your own accuracy, meaning it's probably much better to do use than Mystic Might.
  3. Friends and I did some testing last night. The effects of the curses do NOT stack. Two players using Warrior Sap do not cause the victim to lose 20% of their attack, strength, and defense, for example. Also, one player using Warrior Sap CAN make both of his opponents lose the 10%, but only if he switches back and forth between them every few hits, it seems.
  4. Well, we can be happy that right now only 15,000 people have 95+ prayer. And who knows if all of those people can/have done the quest or even if they still play. Yeah, that number will increase eventually. Here's hoping that in that time, Jagex rebalances Turmoil a little bit. Wait, are you two saying that Turmoil is too weak, or too strong?
  5. Leech Magic appears to be largely beneficial to mages, as magic defense relies on your magic level.
  6. SO EXCITED.
  7. Not me, that's far too high for an average/good sort of skiller/player to reach. Especially if they're F2P. Not everyone has super high levels in everything. Faulty reasoning, as the entire point of these worlds is to separate the high levels from the low levels. Unfortunately, the first incarnation has been extremely underwhelming, serving only to separate the low levels from the beginners. EDIT: By acknowledging that you limit yourself, you defeat your own argument. A player with 138 combat is probably well rounded. A player with 3 combat is not, by any means.
  8. You can kill green dragons in the chaos tunnels. If you plan on getting 99 strength, attack, and defense some day, you would be better off training on controlled with a whip. A Saradomin Sword isn't worth the money unless you're a high level slayer, just want a high strength level (and no other high melees), or you're gathering charms through waterfiends.
  9. I would say that "investing" in an item that it is extremely easy to get, cheap, is available to everyone, and can be bought in mass quantities by anyone, is a very, very bad investment. But go right ahead.
  10. I was glad to get that stupid magnifying glass miniquest over with.
  11. I don't like the idea of creating armor and weapons from ash, but I do like the idea of ash being beneficial to everyday Runescape life.
  12. Get 99 Prayer, then go CBing for a while to get the shield you want.
  13. This is what I've been doing almost nonstop for three weeks. Barrows runs everyday, a little bit of questing (I hadn't done the five latest quests), and a lot of slaying and penguin hunting to get the last few (hundred) charms for 88 Summoning. With that comes my next set of goals: - 80 Prayer. (EDIT: In light of the prayer update, 82 is my new goal.) - 92 Slayer. - All skills 70+. - 100 MA rank. The last one is going to be particularly difficult. Love, Obtaurian / Zen Obelisk / Morningrise333, etc EDIT: Lost my quest cape for a few hours, but it's back now.

Tea tastes like water and coffee is too bitter. I'll take a chai latte or hot chocolate any day.
  15. Addy and mith ores are more valuable than they have every been. This is incentive alone to mine it. They are not as hard to mine as rune ore. Gold did need a boost, the fact that gold ore prices didn't crash with the living rock's update is proof enough. Gold ore prices are stable at 400+ gp. It's your opinion that mining is tedious and boring. Not all the skills have to be the same or easy. There are plenty of people who like mining. Again when you bring smithing into this argument you are basically saying smithing sucks. We haven't seen a smithing update yet. Mining is fine as it is especially for members. Well I was speaking more of F2P mining. F2P mining currently sucks like [cabbage], with absolutely horrible mining spots, especially for higher-level rocks like gold, mithril and adamantite (Not rune, rune's price is worth the trouble). Mining's goal is to SUPPLY SMITHING WITH ORES. The two skills are inter-connected, and not separate entities. If mining sucks, smithing will suck and vice versa. Please don't try to flame me for being a F2P beggar or what-not. If Jagex is going to introduce a new skill into F2P, they might as well fix the old skills first. I hate to be "that guy," but as a free player, your problems are mostly immaterial, as I'm pretty sure that everyone here, OP included, are talking about P2P mining. If you're going to throw your opinions out there, you need to specify that you're f2p. Your problems are not the same as our problems.
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA, I love the second one.
  17. This, this, this, a thousand times this.
  18. No one is going to make Runescape more fun for you. When you get bored, take a break.
  19. Normal melee equipment with proselyte, use protect from melee, bring a cannon if you'd like. I personally bring an Enhanced Excalibur instead of a DDS because the beasts tend to mage me a lot. Use zamorak brews and super strengths, a BOB familiar, and if you've done Within the Light, you can simply teleport near the lair without having to bring full mourner gear. I highly recommend that you use piety.
  20. Curiously, the interviewer used consonants frequently throughout his answers. This clearly alludes to a Grammar skill. Seriously, shape = SHAPESHIFTING@2@@@ skill? You guys need some sleep.
  21. I agree, Kota. He should've spent the money on a decent oven rather than 99 Mage.
  22. We're definitely getting new troll graphics. Most likely a quest boss. Very interesting to see how they design NPCs and landscapes.
  23. I hadn't made that connection. That's hilarious.
  24. Great guide. I've been brewing for a long time. It's pretty fun to do, for some reason. Maybe it's a sign that I should start doing it IRL.
