  1. I'm still crossing my fingers for a gnome spellbook based on illusion magicks. Have you seen the gnome champion? He POOFS and then there's a bunch of them firing at you.
  2. Girlfriend (and her new hair) and I. Webcam shot. Ruining the moment.
  3. I have to call foul on that argument. Any of the GWD bosses are much more difficult than spending 30 hours one-hitting goblins with bronze knives. The latter may be more mind numbing, but certainly not as difficult or resource-consuming.
  4. "...and others may come to you as about as easy to understand as Sanskrit, but be prepared."
  5. I completely agree. I think the rewards should be minimal at best. It's just like CW armor and Chompy hats; they're practically worthless, but they show that you've spent hundreds of hours playing a game that you (most likely) love. The ONE thing that I want from the Champion's Challenge, more than anything, is extremely difficult fights. I think it's sad that most of the champions can be defeated so easily. The Champions of Champions in particular should be kicked up a few notches (BAM!). A free 99 stat or great armor/weapons would make people feel forced to collect the scrolls. Like Brianite said, MA gives a slight boost to the best rings in the game, and people play that game for hours and hours trying to get them, even if they hate playing it. I know I do that.
  6. Not digging the stole and staff. Maybe mage book?
  7. Personally, I bought the fletching ability just to say I could. It's pretty useless, however, if you plan on never utilizing it. I would say spend them on slayer dart runes.
  8. You can't quit after getting a cool name. As is the tradition, "GTFO." <3:
  9. It really is moronic. Utterly and completely. I applaud you, sir.
  10. Artemis has a guide in the AOW that's pretty good. In a team, one or two people will usually have stat hammers, so it's not totally necessary for you to go buy a few, but you may need to at some point.
  11. If you let the familiar kill it you don't get the exp for the kill. Idk about getting it for a task but i know personally that you don't get exp. I had a Fire Titan finish off a Fire Giant for me and was waiting for me to get a slayer level from the kill. After the Titan killed the Giant i didn't get any slayer exp. Also with 88 summoning and the Unicorn, you could also try tanking them. But i would rather just cannon and get the task over a lot quicker. If you get 85 Herblore you could try DH'ing the steel dragons XD. I got a friend who is currently trying to test that theory. Sadly he is only 81 herblore, Are you 100% sure about that? If so I've been losing a lot, I mean a lot of exp. I'll have to test it out tonight as if its true I'm going to be extremely annoyed. O it does count as a task kill thats why I always assumed it counted as slayer exp. I'm quite sure as it pissed me off. Was waiting to do the quick-chat thing when you level up. I pressed it the first time and after my fire titan attack i did it again and my level didn't change. Tried it one more time to see if i didn't get the exp, and sure enough i didn't get any exp from my familiar finishing off the creature. mmm had to test it and I'm getting exp for the kills my familiar finishes. Spirit dagannoth works atleast, next task I can I'll test elemental titans. Yeah, I'm 99.9% sure that Cbtbaker is wrong. I've always gotten the experience.
  12. hey bro can i borrow your extra fire cape o wait.
  13. I just started doing barrows again this morning. Nice to know that I made a decent decision. Torag's helm so far.
  14. I mean your actual avatar that you run around with. It doesn't have a face, just two dark spots that are supposed to be eyes.
  15. I wonder if this means that our avatars will have detailed faces outside of the chathead boxes. Sounds like a helpful addition. I change my avatars look all the time.
  16. I would say that it's worth it. As far as I know, the Geyser Titan is the first really good combat familiar. Besides, anything that puts you closer to 99 is worth the money.
  17. I'm of the opinion that the Divine Spirit Shield is a solo boss hunters weapon. Elysian is mostly useless compared to Divine. There's a great thread on the RSOF that mathematically explains the Divines superiority.
  18. A whip and rune defender is always better than Dharok's on task because of the Slayer Helm, but I do agree that it makes Slayer pretty fun. I would use it on Abyssal Demons and Fire Giants, primarily. Use the Fire Giants in the smokey dungeon, which keeps your HP at 1. You'll need to use protect from melee, so just bring a BOB and have fun. I believe you can get there quickly using a slayer ring and going through the smokey well. If you can make super antifires, it would be pretty fun to use it on metal dragons.
  19. Sounds like the exact reason why I stay out of merchanting. That's exactly the way I would react. :P Yeah, I don't bother with it. I know that I would lose money. Though, I think it also might be that I don't know how to do it and that I've never gotten good advice from anyone. One of my best friends was trying to get me into flipping, telling me what items to do, etc. He just lost 11m on it.
  20. RuneTek5 is the one update this year that I really, really hate. Everything is messed up. Takes me three or four attempts just to move an item from one side of my inventory to the other. Outside of that, I've been generally happy with everything this year. Just wish they would focus on something other than PVP "improvements."
  21. Okay, it's understandable that the chathead is always going to look better, but it's kinda dumb when it doesn't look very similar to the model itself. - Not just these hairstyles, but others too where the chathead looks different or even drastically so from the player model. Heh kinda funny though, I see Daphne, Vegeta, Joe Dirt, and maybe that lady from Saw. Dude, I thought the same thing. :-D
  22. The first cape is always a huge rush. Congratulations.
  23. That's a bummer. I was just thinking of doing some superheating for cheap mage/smith xp. The majority of the little fixes make me very happy. Some nice work. I just hope this wasn't the Slayer update we've been waiting for. I know I'm not the only one hoping for a range equivalent of the black mask. :ohnoes: And mage.
