  1. 80 Runecrafting, eh? But it's not NINETY. FAIL. Also, GAME, n0 u, and l0l. lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn2lrn Hai.
  2. I live in San Francisco, and I was just recently flagged down by a petitioner looking for signatures to legalize marijuana. I agree with your reasoning. I don't partake, but I can't deny that we need the money. And, hell, if it works for Amsterdam, why can't it work for California?
  3. I'd definitely have to agree with law rune. It was around before pure essence. ;-)
  4. I love the introduction video. Made me giggle and blush. Anyway, seems like a nifty idea to me.

Think of it as a way to create tons of GP out of nothing, for little to no effort.
  6. Effort isn't a requirement? :-k I thought we were playing Runescape. "I am sick of arguments that hold no ground." Usually - and I could be way off base here - the best way to debunk an argument is to come up with a suitable counterargument. If you're sick of arguments that "hold no ground," you should really explain WHY they hold no ground, rather than exclaim "FAIL@@@@" every time someone disagrees with you. 90 Herblore and 94 combat stats supersede the effort of 99 combat stats because melee experience is far less valuable than Herblore experience, and is much less costly to obtain. Not all skills were created equal, my friend. "Should we give every player who got 99 range before cannon/chinchompas/etc the ability to hit 60s with an MSB because they put more effort into their account than the player who got 99 range with a cannon/w.e?" You've hit on a good point here. Runescape is all about adaptation. Regardless of whether or not you like to train Herblore, you have to adapt if you want to stay ahead of the curve. The good news is that the curve is very expensive, and if you don't get ahead, you wont be alone. Not by a long shot. As for your suggestions regarding the integration of skills into one another, I completely agree. They really should work more like what you've described.
  7. I think I have to agree that a 40% increase in damage was a little much, and in that case, it makes a HUGE difference between mages with 91 Herblore and mages without it. A +7 strength boost difference between extreme and super potions isn't really game breaking, IMO, so I feel that those should be left alone. A few other posters suggested that there be a middle ground, tradable mage potion that increased max hit by 20-25%, which sounds a lot more reasonable to me. Am I correct in thinking that your biggest problem with the update was the mage potion, Silo?
  8. well thanks for removing my constructive debate about how i thought that skilling and pvp shouldnt be related........................................... i swear mods on here screw up all the time, i put quite a lot of effort typing my thoughts up and you just remove it way to go I agree. There was no need to remove his posts at all. He WAS contributing to the thread. Almost seems suspicious that the guy who doesn't agree gets his posts removed for seemingly no apparent reason. Anyway, I'll respond to your last post, Silo. I understand your sentiments, but I don't agree that not enjoying an aspect of the game should mean that you shouldn't have to engage in that aspect. Regardless of that, however, I don't think that the Herblore update would have affected PVP as much as you think it would. Very few players have access to the full range of extreme potions, and a large portion of those players are more than likely not player killers. On top of that, I don't think most player killers have the money to invest in 85+ Herblore. Seems like they'd rather put that money into D claws, Morrigan's Javs, 99 Mage, etc, etc. tl;dr I don't think it would have affected PVP all THAT much, except in the case of very high level PVP.
  9. I totally, 100% agree. I propose that all skills follow suit by being eliminated from all forms of PVP. I believe that cooking should be next, followed by slayer. No sharks, no whips, no extreme potions. Now we're getting somewhere. I SUPPORT YOU, JAGEX.
  10. Guides make quests easy. I hope I've cleared that up for you.
  11. So, players who didn't put time and money into making balanced accounts should have equal opportunity when facing players who did? That doesn't make any sense. There is no way that most PVP'ers would ever have gotten access to these potions without selling their precious Armadyl Godswords. I'm skeptical that no one's even SEEN these potions in use, much less the "r34l" player killers. In closing, balanced accounts should be rewarded. Fair and Square.
  12. I've already begun stocking up my own Herblore supplies. More out of necessity than protest, but hey, it works the same way.
  13. How can you say something like that about Jagex? What about the Herbl- oh... right...
  14. Horses would likely require skills to use. If that were the case, then we already know that it'll be released for PVP for a day, then removed the next day. Also, Carousels have horses Horses are animals According to scripture, Noah built an Ark to transport a bunch of animals Arks are boats SAILING @@@@@@ Wrong thread?
  15. I'm pretty sure you can't go from 64 to 90 ish with only 10-15m. I don't know for sure, so don't quote on me on that.
  16. Money money money.
  17. wai so skill Right on, noob.
  18. I'm a little torn here. On the one hand, why shouldn't people with 96 Herblore have an advantage? Isn't it somewhat similar to one player having 91 Runecrafting? On the other, I can see how Herblore could have become the new cool PK'ing skill to have, next to 99 Strength or Magic. It's disappointing, cause I can't see a legitimate use for the Overload potion now. Maybe solo tribrid DKs, but that's it. I think it's mostly upsetting that the highest level potion, which was arguably a PVP potion, is now moot. EDIT: I have to agree with this:
  19. woohoo, lets make magic even more powerfull for pvp! <_< It was important that magic have the ability to be a stand-alone combat form, not dependant on another. Jagex had the right concept, but the wrong implementation. I disagree. As stated before in this thread, a mage with an extreme magic potion is not going to be taking down any rangers with dark bows, extreme range, and special restore potions. However, claw'ers and AGS'ers beware of mages. Me thinks the combat triangle has been restored. Each class is able to stand alone now.
  20. The Rune Defender is the best shield item for training. Period. All other shields are specialized. If you replace your defender with a dragon square, you'll be severely downgrading.
  21. Wonder how many GWD boss kills you could get with extreme potions and an inventory of rocktails. ;-)
  22. Checked the RS front page before going off to bed, and I'm now wide awake. I don't have the levels for any of these potions, but goddamn this is a great update. Untradeable, high level rewards. Perfect, Jagex. Perfect.

Try not to say a previously said word. Note: Saying AMG SAILING!@@!@# is completely optional. Banana Bananas are a type of fruit. Fruit is grown all over the world. Fruit travels by airplane. Airplanes use fuel. Fuel travels by ship all over the world. Ships = Sailing. SAILING@@@@#!@! Dogs.
