  1. I actually liked them in the beginning. Decent loot, decent blue charms, etc. Now i HATE them after getting about my 20th task. So yeah, theyre preyy much my Worst Slayer task aswell. I was having trouble with my first Aquanite task. I went and got 80 cooking last night so I could use my Bunyip scrolls on the raw sharks.
  2. phr33 st00f pl0x?!1?! 2b/10. Jesus Christ.
  3. It's lagging more than ever for me, and I, too, have a weak graphics card.
  4. I've been working on my first 99 on and off since 2006; Slayer. I'm at 86 right now, and I will get 99 before I quit this game forever, so help me God. So I'm going to say that my first attempted 99 is hardest, but my first 99 will almost certainly be HP.
  5. I would love to know what planet they're living on. Magic hybrids are now a lot more difficult to operate than before. The OP clearly hasn't tried to switch from autocasting to melee in combat yet. I didn't even think about that. How in the hell does that work?
  6. Just tried out the Summoning attack option against Bork. My familiar will attack Bork until I eat or switch weapons, then it goes back to attacking the legions. Basically if I perform any action whatsoever it negates my command to attack. Cool, I guess.
  7. Magic update is total and absolute win. I love it.
  8. A few things: 1) loltroll 2) I love how your argument was completely and utterly decimated by multiple people, and then you conceded defeat. You're terrible at trolling. 3) I second what almost everyone else said. I have nothing to add.
  9. F2P FIGHT F2P FIGHT The weekly updates part made me lol, but otherwise it was an interesting interview, if only for the Mechscape info.

I think that's the first time you ever made me giggle. Well done. I'm not really bothered by the lack of new content. We've had a few upgrades and fixes this year that I've really liked, but mostly ones that I wouldn't use. I'm not a huge fan of how secretive they've become (after they've made it a huge point that they wouldn't be so secretive.) Basically, for me, this hasn't been an exciting year of updates, but I'm not really complaining.
  11. Some one did this a while ago. I think they had Herblore and Thieving at the same xp, and all the xp from tears went to just one of them. I also read somewhere that you only get slayer exp if it is your lowest stat. Your lowest stat always gets the experience. If Slayer isn't lowest, it doesn't get it.
  12. Morning or Dark. If I can snag either one, I'll be a happy ex-scaper.
  13. I don't have that problem. I have about 15 people added and only one of them talks to me. Toast: go irc Me: game /end conversations. EDIT: Ahhhh, and PuppyKing, of course! Sorry Miner.
  14. This dev. blog has been the best read so far. Can't wait to score Morning or Dark. ;)
  15. On the subject of quest difficulty; many quests are mind-numbingly difficult if you don't use guides. MEP2 and Summer's End were GREAT quests. MEP2 for the insane puzzle, of course, and SE for the epic fight to stay alive. Create a new account and try to get a quest cape without touching a guide. See how you fare.
  16. I realize that, but i would prefer less shouts of "failure" when im just going around killing rock crabs or something. Pub chat off is simply not an option, because i don't like not hearing what the people are saying. My overall enjoyment of the game would probably be hampered if i got summoning, i can try to ignore the idiotic pures, but as happened on my old pure i would eventually get into a long drawn out argument... Wasting my time and there time, and at the end when i feel "good" about myself when the only argument they have left is "well i still don't like summoning" another pure goes up to me and says. "Failed" And the cycle starts again. Dumb pures. Oh, I get it. You're just immature. Weigh the pros and cons; summoning or public chat? A level 60 with a dragon med, granite platebody, and frogskin boots could figure that one out.
  17. I've always thought that this three part solution would be best: 1) As another poster said earlier, make each HP level equal to more than one hitpoint. 2) Defence should work as a counter to strength. 3) Weapons need to have EFFECTS rather than UBER 1337 MAX HITS. Moar spirit shields and barrows, pls. As it stands, HP isn't totally problematic. Players have a few ways to make sure that they don't get one hit. I would still like to see these updates, however.
  18. I wouldn't recommend it. You'd probably get hacked a few more times. I'm curious as to what the "numerous security measures" were. Giving your password to your best friend in the event that you forgot it?
  19. "It's super effective!" I lol'd hard.
  20. wai so lucky EDIT: I'm no longer a member.
  21. I'd like you to back that up with facts. viewtopic.php?f=66&t=765267 The problem with that is that no one has conclusive data that everyone in the debate agrees with. So, there will always be people yelling 'slayer sucks!' or 'slayer is awesome' without actually knowing who is right. Compfreak's entire argument is that armored zombies are better melee experience per hour than slayer. However, slayer is undeniably the best way to max combat or total level. It's only good if you're interested in having a high slayer level or going for maxed total level, really. If slayer is truly the best way to get charms, profit, and experience, then why does everybody quit training on slayer tasks after 85/90/99 slayer? I agree and should have been a little more clear on that point. I think most players (that is, the inexperienced majority) are under the impression that Abyssal Demons are the do-all, end-all of Runescape, so that's the level they stop at. The reality is that at 90 Slayer your experience per hour increases as Dark Beasts are easily one of the better monsters to get on task. If you have 85 mining, they're probably in the top three. @ravian: Slayer is not the best experience for Summoning, Range, or Melee. It is, however, the best experience for Summoning, Range, and Melee. And, of course, Slayer. I'll emphasize the point that Slayer is for players who have a goal of maxing combat or total level. If you just want 99 Range or 99 Melees, you're better off doing something else. If you want 99 Summoning, you're better off doing something else. If you want all three, Slay.

  23. I've always felt that Slayer and Runecrafting are the most interactive skills. Your experience per hour will always depend on how fast you react, how accurately you click, and how many energy drinks you can consume in a day. I love Slayer because I enjoy trying to get the most experience per hour possible. I enjoy it more than Runecrafting because killing stuff is fun. If you enjoy having balanced combat stats, Slayer will always come out on top.
