15th July 2009 - PvP Changes
I'll be purchasing some welfare gear myself soon. I haven't played in awhile, so some range PKing might be kind of fun right about now. EDIT: In my humble opinion, I believe this update to be hugely beneficial to anyone who simply enjoys the thrill of going one on one (in a totally nonsexual way) with another player. IE: Me. Being a mostly sporadic player these days, and having no interested in the economy of Runescape, I'm not concerned with Joe Nobody's never ending quest to capture all 150 BH statues, nor am I particularly bothered that PJ'ers are somewhat out of a job. Except for Musky. I like Musky.

Need help deciding what to put in my siggy.
They all suck. Follow my example. I probably have the best signature in all of TIF.

Duration vs Enjoyment
Depends on the skill, as others have said. For Slayer, my favorite skill, I go for max efficiency and speed because that's fun for me. For mining, another favorite skill, I tend to relax and just do gold mining or I hang out in the Grand Tree mine with superheat runes. For hunter I love Puro Puro. Cooking and mining are the only two skills that I absolutely refuse to train efficiently. I enjoy making pies, damn it.

Lack of summoning tab
What do you mean by "Compfreak wins"? Compfreak and I had many, many heated discussions regarding whether or not combat familiars were useful while slaying. He said bunyips were better, I said combat familiars were better. This update makes him right.

You call this Honor?
Muggi has all the answers. /thread.

Lack of summoning tab
Combat familiars are a pain in the [wagon] to call. Compfreak wins. Bunyips are probably preferable now.

Your set-up for playing Runescape?
Fix'd. On topic: I have a laptop and a mouse. Runescape doesn't run very well on it, so I've found that playing is more of a chore than it should be, hence my not playing.

What do you think about the Trade Limit?
Why are we still talking about something that has been discussed to death and happened longer ago than half of you have been playing?

The Decline of a Runescape Respect
This, this, this. Also, where have you been the past eight years? The Runescape community has been going downhill since conception.

Magic underpowered? Think again! ~+~+OVER-HAULED~+~+
Funny enough, it is because of "pk'ers" like you why I don't use these tactics on PvP worlds or BH. Pj'ers, rushers, and the general rest of the PK'ing community make it nearly impossible to have a good 1 on 1 fight, which is how I prefer it. Yes, I've Pk'ed with Magic and honor. Imagine that. I totally agree, nothing beats a fun, exciting and equal hybrid fight. Too bad it's nearly impossible to find those fights. On the few VERY rare occasions that I've gone PK'ing, I've found the best fights in very secluded locations. It's not a sure thing that you'll find a fight, but when you do, it'll be a great fight. I'm talking about hybriding, of course.

9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
Wow. I just read through this entire thread. Agility update, awesome! Hilarious and downright odd bugs, well... hilarious! People soloing bosses and getting rare drops without any effort at all, oh well! Lent items not being returned to their owners? GE offers being wiped? It takes a lot for Jagex to truly disappoint me. They've thoroughly succeeded. That is NOT fair whatsoever. This isn't another player screwing these people over, this is Jagex screwing people over. That is SERIOUSLY [bleep]ed up.

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
RSC was attractive in it's own way, but vastly inferior to the game we have now.

The new slayer monster.
I like how you insulted high level players who have valid opinions regarding the matter, then tell them that they're not allowed to post. If you don't want this to become a level requirements discussion, I suggest you edit that first line out.

Macroers getting rebanned
I think what's more important than the theoretical court case, is that Jagex's reputation would be severely damaged if they did not refund those costumers. I probably would be very weary of a game if I knew that the makers were so unjust. That just seems... unethical. They may technically have the right to screw those players over, but it would be very morally wrong to do so, in my opinion.

Macroers getting rebanned
I'm not cool with Jagex banning these people again. Some of them spent money; how could they have known that this was a mistake on Jagex's part? I was under the impression that all of this second chance stuff applied to everybody, and I'm sure that they did as well. I know that they probably wont be refunded, but Ravenkana is right about them getting really bad publicity for this. They really need to reconsider things. I'm not even affected by this, but I'll make a post or two on the RSOF if it happens.

May 20th: New Slayer Monster Information.
I would just like to congratulate two groups of people right now. Group A, those who advocate high level slayer monsters, for absolutely destroying the opposition's arguments and making me proud of Tipit. And group B, those who argue against high level slayer monsters, for making me laugh and /facepalm simultaneously. But to be honest, I think group B is just trolling. No one is that dense.

May 20th: New Slayer Monster Information.
Rofl.... Why would you just want to give a name when you can write a whole essay on your dissapointment in Jagex? Anyway to be honest this is the way i see it. Most players have slayer levels between 55 and 60. Most people never even think f getting to 83 and above for the sole reason that it takes ages because its the slowest skill to train. Releasing a "lower" leveled Slayer Monster would would give alot of other players the right motivation needed to train their Slayer (assuming the minster has decent drops. And i am assuming this monster would be dropping alot of Water Runes, Water Staves, Water Orbs, etc.) The way i see it Jagex made the right move on making a lower Slayer monster. They cater for the minority. Try to change they minority into a majarity and then cater for them. With this in mind Jagex is only going to recieve a few thoudand rants from the players with high Slayer levels saying that they wanted a higher Leveld monster. Now on the other hand they would have recieved a good 50 thousand rants (if not more) from every player with a lower Slayer level saying that they wished they would get something new to slay. Would you rather have 50k rants or 1k? Quite logic isnt it. And then we get back to the part about turning a minority into a majority. Lower slayer monster would increase the ammount of people returning to slayer. This would increase they ammount of people with higher Slayer Levels. This would encourage Jagex to release some higher level content. Its alway better to please the majority rather than they minirity. Rather loose the money of 1000 slayer than they money of 50 000. I hope this makes sense. As for a name. I am really not creative enough to come up with one but am hoping it has something to do with Aqua. Brilliant logic. 50,000 players will quit if Jagex releases a high level slayer monster? Low levels have enough motivation to play this game. If a high level slayer monster is released, EVERYONE benefits. High levels get to break out their slayer helmets once again, and lower levels are inspired to work harder to get there. More players will quit because of low level updates than low levels will quit because of high level updates. Either way, not many players will quit at all... certainly not your ridiculous number of 50,000. By your logic, no high level updates should ever be released.

May 20th: New Slayer Monster Information.
I know you probably know this, but it really is a deep issue. It's that never ending argument of balance. I've lol'd at every argument against a 90+ Slayer monster. These tipiters are so short sighted and narrow minded that it's amazing to me that they actually found their way to a computer. Since when is a gaming company supposed to cater to the majority? World of Warcraft's entire gameplay is centered around the end game. Granted, the end game is much easier to reach, but in a game like Runescape where almost everyone has GOALS, it seems silly to implement such a low level creature.

May 20th: New Slayer Monster Information.
I'm curious to see what the drop will be. Otherwise, it's not cannonable, and it's probably not worth slaying for experience. Its mage attack will probably be really strong, which means we'll probably need prayer to kill it. I'm not particularly excited. I think the drop will have to be something incredibly useful for me to care, and I'll probably just buy it rather than want to slay these things without a cannon or combat familiar. We'll see.
