Tormented Demons.
Thanks for the tip, Walka. I'm getting close to WGS, so that'll come in handy.

Please hand in all the slayer exp you've ever got from quests, experience lamps, books of knowledge, genies and slayer points. Thank you. How many quests give Slayer experience, specifically? That's how much I've gotten. So, take away that 50k. I'll have it back in an hour or two. I would never spend books or lamps on a skill that I enjoy so much when I could spend it on a slower skill, like Runecrafting. I really hope that no one uses their points to buy that 10k experience. What a waste. What is it with Tipiters trying really hard to be clever? EDIT: You can get about 55k experience from quests, and I haven't done Back To My Roots. So, in that case, take away my 32k Slayer experience.

Uh 10m takes alot of work actually :wall: Eh... I made 10m in about a week casually crafting cosmics and farming snaps. 10m is really not that hard if you put your mind to it.

Slayer..
That would be a first for Ray, dream on Morning... That's low. Someone hasn't read anything lately. Well, you dont, it's just annoying when people go along and say you'll get xx slayer xp in xx time, without even noting that it can be xx higher or xx lower. 1. Not particularly. In thoughts, yes, but as I stated before, how the hell do you know which tasks you will get (unless you're in a loop)? 2. ^ ^ ^ 3. It's 50% chance each side. :| Basic statistics. Google it.

Smithing iron knives - possible to profit?
Tis a joke. Lighten up. You'll spend very little money, and it's very fast. Not to mention that you spend half of that time playing a fun minigame. \/\/ What Ray said.

Chinning on Ape Atoll.
I can't find a guide on the forums, so I'll ask about it here. I know what equipment to use, I just don't know if there are certain spots in the dungeon that are better to use. Care to enlighten me?

Smithing iron knives - possible to profit?
The fastest, most cost effective way for you to get 69 Smithing, that is not boring at all, is to: Play SC Get hammers Buy mith bars Make into mith bolts Sell unfinished bolts on GE Profit It'll go by REALLY quick.

Slayer Sucks
Hey there again, I put numbers on page 25 or so, not doing it again. I train slayer with super sets and piety. I profit a lot. Err... I never saw any of your numbers on 25. Perhaps you should repost them. And yes, you can still make a terrible (40-50k) profit with piety, but you need to cannon for full efficiency - and you will not make any significant profit overall. Sorry, but that's just not true. I slay at full efficiency. I use piety, a cannon, and a combat familiar at ALL times when possible and applicable. I almost never use a Bunyip. I play 100% attention, and I do all of the little things that add up in the long run, such as picking up drops between hits, and attacking multiple monsters. I make a very noticeable profit, and I can get a pretty damn good amount of Slayer experience per hour for my levels. I can't imagine what you're doing wrong if you're making such a small profit. Not only do you save TONS of time in which to make more money, but you DO make a lot of cash if you're slaying as fast as you can. Deux cent quatre-vignt-sept.

The way you train slayer normally? :o -.- Void knights send you into battle in Pest Control. Slayer master sends you into battle in SW. Somebody needs to look after the minigame; in this case it can be a slayer master. A slayer task = killing a bunch of monsters. Is that not slayer? Slayer Masters send you into battle to learn slay bigger, badder monsters, as I've explained. Killing monsters is not Slayer. If it were that simple, we would not have a Slayer skill. LEARNING to kill specialized monsters by going to Slayer Masters is Slayer. I'm not going to explain that again. You clearly do not understand the concept of Slayer, and you clearly do not want to. I'll leave you here to "l0l n0t r34d" in peace.

Okay, so the game is run by a slayer master. Just like PC is run by Void Knights and BA is run by Barbarians and FoG is run by Fiara and some druid dudes. *shrug* Again, people made the same arguments regarding Vinesweeper. "It's not real farming," they said. How is it not real farming? You're working in a field to raise crops...it's more like "real" farming than regular farming is! In this case, you're still slaying slayer monsters, aren't you? So what's so wrong with it? Wait, so you're saying that a master teaching you to slay bigger and badder monsters as you progress in levels is similar to a knight telling you to DEFNED MAI PORT4ALZ PLS? I've already pointed how why simply killing a bunch of monsters is not Slayer. Reread my previous post.

As MC said, you don't get a higher rate just because you suck at making money. 2/10 for the cash. 1/10 for playing an easy minigame multiple times.

Exactly. The essence of the skill is retained, which is why ZMI and Smoking Kills were great updates. You are still taking tasks from Slayer Masters, you are still crafting runes in a dangerous (well, more ANNOYING than dangerous) environment. If a safe minigame was released that allowed players to gain equal or faster experience than actually training the skill itself, it would destroy the purpose of the skill, would it not? Anyway, like a player above mentioned, I wouldn't mind rewards that helped Slayers. http://news.runescape.com/c=wZvh57*pwIc/newsitem.ws?id=352 The purpose of the slayer skill is to kill monsters that require special methods or equipment, not to get tasks from slayer masters. From the description of Soul Wars: Killing slayer monsters. Sounds fine to me. The point of Slayer is that the Masters TEACH you to slay certain monsters by sending you into battle with them. If this minigame has a Slayer master, and that master is assigning me tasks so that I may learn to slay certain monsters, then I will embrace this game, as it has not strayed from the point of Slayer. Slayer is not just killing monsters that require certain equipment. Slayer is about LEARNING to kill those monsters through Slayer Masters.

Yeah, there's a great idea, let's take the whole basis of the skill (taking tasks from masters) and make it completely redundant because a minigame is giving double the xp per hour. Thankfully Jagex seem to be smarter than you. Look at Smoking Kills. The new rewards revolutionized the way people train slayer. I don't think anyone would reasonably be able to argue that the skill was ruined as a result. Look at the ZMI altar. It made runecrafting significantly faster to train, but the essence of the skill (no pun intended) is the same. Magic: PKability with DoubleCast!
I'm not complaining about anything. If I was, I would have posted this under the rants section. MY point is that any combat spell in the regular spell book is underused, that crossbows and other weapons are able to hit in excess of 50 in one shot, even without specials, giving them a combat advantage that magic does not have. What you've described is not double casting, its timing 2 spells so that they overlap. Its like saying a range / 2h combo is the same as the dark bow's special, or a dds, when in fact its not, its timing. With a DoubleCast, there would be less clicking, less timing, more "luck", like there is with other weapons. A mage can KO an opponent using "double cast," and it hits higher than 50 with additional effects. Like Zaaps, I see no reason to implement a random double cast when we can already do one on command.

D claws or Ags
I was not implying that he was wrong. I was simply inquiring as to whether or not the higher initial accuracy of a Godsword would be more beneficial against an opponent with extremely high defense, regardless of the speed. If I'm interpreting Comp correctly, it seems to be a little ambiguous, but according to his experience, a whip is better. Seeing as how I have zero experience with a Godsword, I can make no further comment. I did however, learn something, as I've stated.

Why Would People Train?
Honestly, the enjoyment lasts for about 10 minutes. For me it turned into a goal of all 60's. Great, got that done. Next day I had a goal of all 70's. What you don't have seems better than it really is. It keeps you playing, but eventually it will get old. I think it gets boring for everyone when they're goals consist of "I want 1700 total, I want 2000 total, I want all 80+, etc." It's not the goals themselves that are fun, it's what you plan on doing once you get there. I think that when people play Runescape with just goals and no direction, they get tired real quick.

D claws or Ags
Math doesn't help a lot, it's all experience. But since you seem to want to compare, I'll use a typical bandos outfit as an example. Bonus items: Nezy helm +3 strength Fire Cape +4 strength, +1 attack Fury +8 strength, +10 attack Bandos Tassets (K top or plate, I see K top more often so we'll use that) +2 strength Dragon Boots +4 strength Berserker Ring +4 strength Dark Gloves +12 strength, +12 attack Standard outfit for a 130+ team. Now, with godsword we get: 37 strength + 132 strength = +169 strength, 23 + 132 attack = +155 attack With whip we get: 37 strength + 82 strength = 119 strength, 23 + 82 = +105 attack Now, multiplying both of those by 1.5 compared to godsword gives us (same attack speed): Godsword: +169 Strength, +155 attack Whip (sim):+179 Strength, +158 attack Whip has HIGHER stats, any way you look at it. Specials are meaningless, d claws are being used for specials. Learn something new everyday! But what about a monster like the KQ's second form, where the defense is very high? Surely a Godsword's superior initial accuracy would be the wisest choice? Sure, a whip should POTENTIALLY have more accuracy, but that doesn't sound feasible when every hit is a 0, no matter how fast it's hitting.

Slayer..
If you read the last two pages, you'll see that an accurate Slayer experience rate is very possible, as well as very accurate given a large enough sample size. Getting 99 Slayer will give you the size you need. Oh, I was referring to proving you wrong on the subject of experience rates. I'm glad to see that you aren't arguing the point any longer. Lord_Shalaj makes a few very good points regarding Kalphites. I highly suggest you read them. I also suggest that you post an argumentative reply, but I suppose that's to be expected.

Why Would People Train?
I train so I can call other people "noobs," which allows me to "3p1cpVVnZ0r$" them. But really, I train because I enjoy the challenge, and it's all heading towards combat.

Slayer..
Ok lets see, Im debating my point. How dont I see how it isnt? And also, Im stating that the "average" of slayer xp per hour, is highly inaccurate due to 'chance' (basically random) tasks. Im not saying there's no way, Im saying that the accuracy of it is highly debatable. For kalphites, It's been like 4 weeks since I have been there, but I dont remember the soldier room being crowded at all. Bauke and mmmcanibalism have already proven you wrong. Any experienced Slayer will tell you that Kalphites are too crowded to be any good. You're going no where with this.

No you won't. :P But seriously, I don't think we should worry about massive exp rewards for Slayer being released, Jagex aren't stupid enough to do that imo. As far as I'm aware, the last minigame that increased the amount of exp/hour significantly was Pest Control. ;) DO NOT DOUBT ME. But, I do agree. I'm a little worried, but I can't imagine that Jagex would ever do that. I think if anything, it'll be a way to train Slayer safely, but for significantly reduced experience. even that would be bad :shame: Oh ppffftt. Now listen, all you naysayers. Did you have a freak-fest when Sumona's rewards after Smoking Kills allowed players to cash in for Slayer EXP? No. (Or if you did, you REALLY didn't understand how the system worked.) Chances are you'll be able to obtain SOME slay exp OR other rewards--which will probably be more useful than some cruddy 3k slayer EXP for 20min worth of work. Yeesh. If the experience is anything similar to the slayer point experience, I'll be a happy man. Only a fool would spend their points on that.

I'm very, very scared. I will personally fly to Jagex HQ if Slayer is ruined. Heads will roll. Literally half the posts in this thread are from Hate_Me_Libs talking to himself. Seriously, shutup. Edit your first post if you have so much to say to no one in particular.

You were able to have all three birds when they were released, but you can't do it anymore, sadly.

D claws or Ags
It does, it's a big difference. Besides, godswords obviously beat whip for specs; 2 good AGS specs or 1 bandos spec will halve or quarter the kill time. I need to try out dragon claws at bosses... they are more accurate\higher hitting then AGS, and I could probably get in 2 specs in w6 bandos. I could end up getting a lot of kills... A whip and defender have lower slash bonus and much lower strength, while hitting 1.5x as fast. When solo'ing with a GS, you might be able to use your specs on the first kill, and if you get lucky, the third kill, but even without the specials, the Godsword still outperforms a whip against most boss monsters. I just can't see how a whip is in anyway superior to a Godsword against bosses.
