That's not hardcore slaying. If you're hardcore slaying, you are NEVER visiting Shilo. You use NPC Contact, or a Slayer Ring if you must visit a slayer master, which you would only do in the event that you get a task you'd like to cancel, and you shouldn't be doing that anyway if you have four tasks perm canceled. Banking takes less than a minute if you're organized and know exactly what you need for each task, and I'm not even talking about the FASTEST way to bank during Slayer. My way that takes less than a minute: "Task finished" message > grab cannon/drops > break house tab > recharge prayer > glory to edgeville or portal to canafis > grab NPC contact runes > get new task > change armor, grab all necessary supplies > get slaying. Fastest method (requires bringing a glory to your task): "Task finished" message > grab cannon/drops > glory to edgeville > npc contact > change armor > grab supplies + extra prayer potion > refill prayer on your way to your next task > Profit. Being extremely fast during Slayer is not all that difficult. You really only need to be organized and know what you're doing. Off topic: [hide=]Compfreak, you remember what happened to Qeltar on the Tipit forums? It's happening to you. Regardless, stick it out.[/hide]
  3. It would be pretty interesting if certain items took up more space in your inventory than others.
  4. I would just like to add that no one goes CE hunting anymore, and the posters in this thread have only done it before Revs, if at all. If you and your team manage to get a few kills, more power to you. Good luck. Don't die. (Also, if you can solo the CE nowadays, you are a god. It's the hardest boss to solo sans CB.)
  5. Thank you, that was really helpful.
  6. If you're just killing one, wear your standad melee equipment with mind/elemental shield, use range prayer (it doesn't matter really) and bring some food. It'll be easy.
  7. What would I be making? What are we looking at as far as time, exp per hour, etc?
  8. The ones mentioned before + Ibis if you plan on fishing. Throw away your Ibis pouches when you can use a Granite Lobster.
  9. I simply called it by way you called it, the thread is about drops though but not a nerf... Oh, well in that case, what aspect of the drops are we discussing?
  10. Guess I can't use "password" as my password anymore. It was a good seven year run.
  11. I wonder how many "____ drop rate was nerfed!" threads we can make in a week. Question for my good friend, SirHemen. Have you done extensive testing that concludes drop rates have been nerfed, or are you making an extremely uneducated guess? Don't quote me on this, but I SUSPECT it may be the latter.
  12. This guaranteed content poll only proves that Jagex needs to implement a skill requirement to vote. Only level 70+ Summoners should have been allowed to vote in this particular poll.
  13. I'm 69 Summoning, and I've recently gone f2p due to circumstances beyond my control (can't mooch off of mommy). It is seriously heartbreaking to play Runescape now. When I fish, I can't help but think that this would be so much better with my trusty Ibis. When I do anything that involves running, I pull my hair as my energy hits zero. I don't know how I survived before Summoning. Runescape just wouldn't be (or in my case, isn't) the same without it. Also, I miss Slayer. I always used my Overlord or Bunyip. OH GOD.
  14. THIS. Also, everyone in this thread is a troll, excluding Dr Vermin (and Compfreak/Kent because they generally know what the hell they're talking about), but including me.
  15. I'd love to see your sources. You can't say that everything that is unknown is explained by God. If it's not known, it means we haven't figured it out yet. Keep in mind that once upon a time, there were only four elements.
  16. im wit u also bring wildy back i mis s it
  17. 1. Take the locust and a few scrolls to Falador. 2. Destroy food of busy players. 3. ???? 4. Profit.
  18. Disclaimer: I've only read the first page and half of the second page. I believe that using multiple high level skills in conjunction with random outcomes (the example of getting the special ore while mining coal) is a great idea, and I would love to see it implemented. I understand the argument that it would make getting these items too easy, as there's no real risk. So why not make the items untradable? Let's use NukeMarine's Spirit Bow as an example. You need a Spirit Seed, 85 in multiple skills, and it takes five days to grow the tree. Give it a wield requirement of 80 range and 80 agility. Make it untradable. You've just given a decent bow to a small number of players who have time and money to waste, and who will use it for combat purposes. There will be no "Dragon Claws syndrome" where it's being sold for 100's of millions more than on the GE. It will be an elite item for the elite and only for the elite. You make it for yourself, and if you don't have the levels, you're out of luck. Hell, you could throw in a bunch of other obstacles. What if the bow has its stats cut in half until you've killed 1,000 monsters, or fired 10,000 shots? What if you needed to slay a certain high level boss monster to use the bow? There are all kinds of ways to implement the idea without damaging the economy or giving a great item to players with money.
  19. You should really just burn eucs. It'd be the fastest way without blowing millions on magics. Look up Zarfot's guide on Youtube. It'll be a lot more fun then.
  20. I lol'd so hard. I would kiss the ring of the player in the screencap. Brilliant.
  21. What you might fail to notice is that it helps the slayer complete his task faster too. He might get less xp, but he'll get faster loot while you'll get none. I love it when I set up my cannon and someone "tries to get in my way" ... it's just faster for me. Doesn't bother me too much if I fail to get loot if I can get 20 kills in like 2-3 mins. :P Besides the above experience was at dagganoths, loot I don't mind missing most of the time. And I'm talking about slayer tasks, so last hit = slayer kill to me. You also get severely reduced experience. Enjoy your 5k Slayer exp per hour. I agree with Compfreak. I'm not going to waste my time hopping worlds when I can easily take one from someone who is not using the populated world to his/her advantage. Most Slayer monsters have enough spawns to satisfy a melee'r on a 1,000-1,500 person world. This is not true for Slayers who use cannons. If you want to talk about respect, we can point out that a single melee'r using a full world is being disrespectful and inconsiderate of his/her fellow Slayers, who could use those resources to greater advantage. Frankly, it's selfish to hog a full world when you're not even using it.
