  1. Whatever you can get faster. It's not going to make a significant difference. It also depends heavily on your rings. If you have a higher tiered blazer/blitzer ring (I think blazer is better on Necro) than sniper, go with magic.
  2. Me too. Platebody just seems so much more useful. If you don't key, the gaunts would be more useful to both you and your team.
  3. No, but you are expected to use the best weapons available to you. That is to say, if you have access to a Katagon 2H and can wield it, make sure you aren't using something like a Zeph longsword or something. ya i got kicked for having a kata 2h lol.
  4. Nah, he lost his hex in the bind crash. But I would actually say that a plate is better for keyers without hexes. I don't think we've come to any real conclusions yet. All we know for sure is that a sagittarian body is clearly more advantageous for hexers, so it's an obvious choice for them. You can't go wrong either way, ultimately. EDIT @ Jmmy: For having no experience with rushing, I thought you were pretty good. Only problem is that having two Jimmy's on a team really complicates things.
  5. Well, not every keyer has a platebody, but you have the right idea. :P
  6. Yes, 100+ dungeoneering is a requirement to be a ranked keyer. If you're serious about keying, most of the other keyers and myself would be more than happy to teach you as much as we can. Keying, however, is ultimately something that you learn by practicing and figuring out for yourself. Whenever you do floors with a ranked keyer from now on, pay very close attention to what they're doing and see what you can apply to your own keying.
  7. The Ancient actually tried it for awhile, but it's not very effective overall, especially in conjunction with a blood necklace. You'll be useless against some monsters and many bosses. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
  8. Wait, so you're mad at me (and apparently some other people) for offering good advice on these forums? What? I could give less of a flying [bleep] how you decide to dg. I have a whole clan chat of people who are more than willing to learn, so you can be rest assured that my concern is with them, not you. All I can do is correct someone. What they do from there is their problem. You can correct people without doing it as you do, and yet I don't know if you're capable, as it seems being this way is so ingrained in your nature you don't realize how you're acting. Your attitude was totally negative and defensive as soon as someone corrected you (and it wasn't me). As far as I'm concerned, that's grounds for me to be more assertive. You should learn to take constructive criticism on your feet.

  10. Where does arrogance come into play? I've tested my hexhunter extensively and I've considered all angles of your bind scenario, and I've offered my conclusion based on my evidence, experience, and knowledge of dungeoneering. What does arrogance have to do with anything? It sounds like you're just insulting me because you're wrong. Whatever, not my problem.
  11. No. Keying on gatherer will save you more LP than tank, and even then, most keyers I know key on berserker/blazer or whatever. Doors attacking back is probably one of the most unpreventable ways to die, so keying on gatherer is better. EDIT: I key on zerker/sniper, personally.
  12. The big difference between a MHing clan for beginners and a DG clan for beginners is that in dungeoneering, you have access to optimal gear almost immediately. In MHing, you're competing against an army of maxed players. It just wouldn't work.
  13. I lol'd. If Tui takes zerker from you again, ban from DGS tbh. ;) But proud of you for getting t10, in any case. <3
  14. Are you comparing boosting the accuracy of a hex to being completely sterile when dealing with anything with a little ranged defense, which happens to be a huge array of monsters in dungeoneering, as well as a good number of bosses? You would literally be completely useless against most monsters if all you had was a hex. I've used and tested my hex for nearly 30m experience. Unlike you, I have the experience, the knowledge, AND the numbers to back me up. Go ahead - tell me how you're going to deal with all skeletons, zombies, forgotten warriors, forgotten rangers, giants, high-level ghosts, hope devourer, thunderous, the skeletal archer, the skeletal warrior, gravecreeper, earth warriors, hobgoblins, etc, etc, etc. Then why don't you tell me how you're going to justify spending your team's money on fractite arrows (which are far worse than sagittarian arrows) from the smuggler when you inevitably run out of arrows on EVERY. SINGLE. FLOOR. Then tell me how you're going to be useful at all against Necrolord (the boss where a hex shines the most, arguably) with only 10 or 20 arrows left (definitely a generous estimate - using my hex maybe 40% of the time during occult floors, I usually get to Necro with around 80-90 arrows left if I'm lucky). You clearly did not think this through, did you? Once again, stop arguing with people who clearly have far more experience than you - not only in dungeoneering in general, but more specifically people who have HEXHUNTER BOWS. Tell you what - you wanna know what a pure hex setup would be like? Go bind a sagittarian shortbow and tell me how you fair. EDIT: Food for thought, but if you had a hex as your primary weapon, you'd be using the equivalent of a corpsethorn shortbow (that's t8) for most of the floor. PRO DUNGEONEERING RIGHT THERE.
  15. Switch to P2H and get a Rapier. Or if you are adamant on keeping B-axe, get gauntlets I guess as I don't thing b-axe & rapier go well together. Reason why there's no point in maging, if you have blood neck you have higher strength than someone without. Therefore you are better off meleeing every GD rather than switching to magic if it can be helped. For someone WITHOUT a bloodneck, maging would be preferable as you will technically do less melee damage than someone on your team with one. Someone may have a differing opinion on this matter who has more experience/knowledge with damage in daemonheim. I think I would agree with this. Celestial staves are pretty nifty for keying, though, 'cause that's +20 magic defense. But for people who DPS most of the time, I think a blood neck AND a celestial staff would probably be a little redundant. Better to make full use of the blood neck and get a primal rapier or something. And yes, I would say pairing a baxe with a rapier is suboptimal.
  16. I'll key abandoned floors, too, but only if I have a good wingman.
  17. Please stop talking about using a hex as if you know what you're talking about, and please stop arguing with people who have hexes. I've had mine since 101 dungeoneering (110 now), and I can say without a doubt that I use melee the majority of the time. It's a niche weapon. It'd be better to use a celestial staff as your main weapon rather than a hex (fire surge with a celestial staff rivals a primal 2h on most monsters, being better than a primal 2h on some). Anyway, my current binds are a hood, prom 2h, hexhunter bow, and sagittarian arrows (p++). I will definitely be binding a sagittarian body as I key 90% of the time. At 120 I'll probably add a blood necklace to that, though I'd probably bind sagittarian chaps until I found one.
  18. Get the highest tier 2h you can wield. The Dung Smith clan chat will make one for you if you can't make it yourself. Be sure to upgrade your berserker ring as soon as possible.

Just keep in mind that while LRC tasks have the best melee exp rate of any task, they have one of the lowest slayer exp rates. If you're not maxed melee, it wouldn't hurt to do them, but it depends on your priorities.
  20. They put you on their ignore list? Wowwww. Funny that you took zerker and battle-mage from them when Toad keyed, though. Like a slap in the face. :P
  21. If there isn't a clear path to gravecreeper when he lights up the whole room, I'll sometimes shoot a few arrows at him (and I used to shoot a few surges at him in the same way before I got my hex). More often than not, though, I just hero it and run through the purple stuff to wack him.
  22. I'm considering Primal Gaunts over Plate tbh :P That would actually be a good idea for DPSers. You could get a celestial staff, too. I don't know which would be more helpful.
  23. Indeed. It's actually a great way to kill stomp and icefiend in c1s.
  24. It hasn't been changed. It has never aggro'd monsters.
  25. pro tip: it's possible to dg with just one hand. Hahahaha, I had to help my brother with groceries, unfortunately. :P
