I completely agree. If you are perm muted for offensive language and get one more chance to redeem yourself, how much harm could you possibly do? If people are going to intentionally use offensive language continuously, they`re just going to make a new account to do it on. I think that not giving an extra chance is an exaggeration on how 'terrible' people are speaking. And yeah, it`s kind of dumb that you can get an appeal in if you`ve been banned. Nobody gets banned for one single offense. Nobody gets muted for just one either, but I think people report "offensive language" for ridiculous things. Usually for spite. To be honest, I think you have to do a significant amount of rule-breaking to get perm banned. I`m not sure what exactly can get you banned but it really isn`t fair. (how many offenses, how many different ones?) I`ve seen accounts with 19.5 offenses that have been banned. Those may have been talied after the person was banned but I find it stupid regardless. :wall:

sometimes if you do type too fast, it doesn`t send out your message. for example, if people want to spell out "you smell" using one line per letter. Half the time most of the letters don`t come up... it shows as: y u s m e l I type fairly fast and I don`t spam, but sometimes all of my words don`t come up because I type too fast. Especially if I`m ranting -_-. This could be -some- sort of spam filter.

haha I think I know that person to be honest. I`ve seen tons of people with names that I`d say are offensive. My old one got banned for it though 'nukkinfutz'

what if there are people who play the game but don`t care enough to know these things? they`re stupid? it`s just a game.. and runescape isn`t even that highly sophisticated. :wall:

be a little more specific as to what you`re talking about? and I think this belongs in 'rants'? -
Get rid of McAfee.. #-o I suggest using AVG Virus Scan. google it. This won`t solve your problem but do it anyway :(.

I was just stating what the minimum reqirements are. it`s better to have something to support your opinon rather than saying "lol vista is bad"

What is your favorite word to say on runescape?
soldier_side replied to coonas's topic in General Discussion
"rofl" "moron" and "idiot" usually they`re used in conjunction with eachother. -
Should I feel like a [very bad person]?
soldier_side replied to Artificial_Doom_Flavor's topic in General Discussion
someone else probably would have taken the offer anyway. you`re just getting the benefit before they do. it`s not like if you refused to take it, that every macro would cease to exist. someone is going to support them one way or another. -
I was told that because I`m addicted to runescape it`d probably be worse if I played wow. I`m not sure if I agree, but I have found myself being lost when watching people play (as they`re also in their own daze)..

Yep, something like that.. or "look how I can duplicate, just give me your name and pass.. this is before, (shows picture of about 10 items) and this is after (current image)" lol. try searching soulseek or ares/limewire for "Runescape" Documents. you`d be surprised how eager these idiots are to scam at a game like runescape.

4.2m I believe.. now I`m down to 975k + a buttload of items.

lol I just had a good one with a newb.. he claimed he had 99 fishing.. I smelled the lie right away... and that not all lvl 99 fishers are ranked on the high scores. He wanted me to pay 50k in advance, when I asked if he`d fish raw lobs for me, then 150k after I got them. He spent about 15 minutes trying to convince me that I`m a stupid newb who doesn`t know anything about rs. Then I asked him where rs was from and he left.

cool, fake propably though... or someones a veeeerrryyy good merchanter ;D it is fake.. all of the numbers are like -perfectly aligned-.. and they don`t overlap over the items like they probably should. lol it`s a terrible exaggeration of a good bank.

lol what kind of networking?.. Business/Ultimate is made for that type of thing. If she didn`t figure that out by reading 10 words on Microsoft`s website then that`s her problem. Vista isn`t that bad. it just takes some getting used to. That`s probably one of the biggest cons besides the hardware/software compatibility. It`s a little harder to adapt to. Things aren`t handed to you as easily like the previous versions of Windows. It takes more than 30 seconds of shoving the computer and saying "I hate this crap it`s too hard" to understand how things function. I`ve had it for about a month and it`s not so bad anymore. Vista isn`t a "ram hog" either. XP is most definitely a hog with ram and it doesn`t run properly on my windows 2k machine, which fits the requirements fine. I have countless errors and problems with the pc locking up. Vista being a ram hog is just hearsay. When people look at the requirements they hide under rocks in terror. Like I said, Microsoft says that if you bought a pc in the last 2-3 years it should run vista fine. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/produc ... ments.mspx

Windows XP to be discontinued in early 2008
soldier_side replied to Talal28's topic in Tech and Computers
your link is broken, so I`m not going to bother reading all of that. Anyway.. Dell is still selling machines with XP on them. Dell is still selling pcs with XP on them, giving consumers a choice as to what operating system they deem needed. Will this go on forever? Probably not, but people are concerned about buying pcs that rely too heavily on expensive new hardware.. Microsoft claims that any pc bought in the last (approx) 2-3 years will run Vista just fine. I realize this 'update' is not very new, (4/19) but it`s more reliable than a broken link and there are going to be continuous updates about this topic. heatsink or cpu fan slip off or something ? maybe try to secure that.. that could be why it keeps restarting. what operating system are you running? is your cpu overclocked? can you get the cpu temperature? if it`s over 60C then you`ve most likely found the problem.. there sould be like a one-year warranty or something..

lol I kind of got one like that.. newb: hey are u a girl? newb: helloo -follows- me: yes.. newb: I love u want to be my gf

What's the story behind your RS name?
soldier_side replied to stratotanker's topic in Questionnaires
yeah mine is pretty lame, too.. my now ex bf`s name is gleeper on rs (Irl. I`m not a little kiddy) so mine is gleeper_owns <- main (but muted perm) and gleeper_0wns <- (wcer and str pure) -
I was in varrock upstairs E bank and this guy had a name "bob saget" with some odd numbers and I laughed at him for the name. says a lvl 37 to my lvl 30 cb and he left. -sigh-

I like using IE7 probably more than the other browsers because it seems more organised and things aren`t cluttered from the start.. (any idiot can get rid of useless toolbars and junk). Opera and Mozilla Firefox are pretty good but you don`t get to view things the same way as IE users. I feel more comfortable using IE7. Firefox has also created tons of problems for me with the plugins. Opera has created stupid problems on my other pc... every time I closed out of it it would be "Not Responding" or it would just close out completely.

667MHz? I bet it barely runs xp.. Microsoft claims that if you`ve bought a pc in the last (about?) 2-3 years then you should be perfectly fine running vista. if you`re going to get vista you ought to consider what version you`re getting as well. I`m currently running vista business. I really like it but it is a lot different than xp. drop down menus are almost completely gone, things look so much nicer and Vista has great security. finding my way around pisses me off sometimes. it makes me feel stupid -.- you can upgrade from xp professional but *not* home edition. (I did a project recently about vista business but it was rushed so I`m not a pro) I recommend just starting fresh though. store your files on a cd or something + download programs later. I also recommend using the VUA (Vista Upgrade Advisor) just to *completely* make sure you can run vista with no problems. It tells you what hardware you need to upgrade completely. if you want to find out more about vista click: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/default.mspx.
