And who could forget good ol' *chuckle*? Ok, I admit I did, but that's still preferable to lol for the most part.

I was trying to use Spore as an analogy of sorts, where the creators did something to it- in Halo's case the new ranks, and Spore's DRM and limited installation-to really screw it up and just make it less enjoyable. I know I won't be playing a whole lot of Halo anymore. And at least EA had somewhat of a reason- combating piracy. I have no idea what Bungie hopes to gain from this. I guess maybe the Spore problem isn't as widely known as I thought. Edit: And I just saw they've retired rocket races as a playlist. That just blows, man. For me anyways.

Changing the subject now. But maybe. Anyways, have there been any revelations as to why Bungie decided on the new ranking system? It seems like EA putting DRM in Spore, just ruining a perfectly good product where it's obvious backlash will be prevelant. And this isn't even a really poor attempt at combatting piracy.

I suppose a little. If it helps, you did sound like a 15 or so year old girl. If it doesn't, just forget I said it. I need to find the Asprin...

Whagh, really? You sounded so much like a girl in that infection game we played on Cold Storage, and in the voice reply to my getting Overkill  :? These smiley's don't really describe my shock.

Looks like we'll need an outsider's opinion on this. Like dizzle him/herself. And see what we're doing here? Yes, it;s sort of off-topic and meant for laughs (though I seriously think dizzle's a chick), but it's within a thread without any other discussion really going on, and it;s an actual conversation. You can do stuff like that, just not spam for spam's sake. Heck, I've done that a couple times in this thread, I remember a tangent on the chinese or korean military, and in a ghost stories thread tangenting on creepypasta.

Based on my experiences with dizzle, he is a she. Unless I;ve got him/her confused with someone else.

Noooooooo! The Voice. He's dead.
Fear not, my brothers. I shall take over as temporary replacement. Maybe add a bit of commentary, too, or pull of the star's toupee in the trailer....oh, you know they all wear them.

Nah, Homer's a mostly decent guy. Except for the one detail. And I'll admit, I had that problem myself once. Remember pre-rollback? I had over 4,000 posts, which were reset to 2000 afterwards. And we only lost what, 4 months? Less? That means over 2,000 posts in 4 months. Holy crap is right. Luckily I've come around-with some help, much like I did here-and I feel I'm a better poster because of it. Also, I think Lenticular should be our next target. But more for relevancy than anything else.

What do you think saying "asshat" makes you sound like? An..assh- oh, I get it! So do people really pronounce stuff like "wtf" as the letters when they read it? I always think of "wtf", "omg" and the like as the words they represent. It sound weird any other way. And "zomg" becomes zoh my god. I think what's really awful is that this stuff is invading our television, and worse than that, children's television. Some show I forget, with that girl from Drake and Josh, has the characters using words like brb and noob. I want to send a thermonuclear missile through my television whenever I hear that. Unfortunatly for me, it's one of my sister's favorites.

Alright, i guess maybe I was a little harsh- but only slightly. Maybe the last sentence was a bit unneeded, and I should've thrown in the constructive bits so generously provided by aquarius. That is good advice, though- even if the relevancy takes a while think of, think of it. It helps me. I think my record is waiting 5 minutes before actually posting, and I think the result was pretty good in the on-topicness. And yea, you iz boss. Consider yourself lucky there was no hoztile tekkover ;)

Alright, Homer, we've been discussing it awhile and this just clinches. Something needs to be said for your posting patterns. Quite frankly, it's frikking irritating. Just about every 3rd post, sometimes more, on this topic and other you frequent, are by you. In this thread alone you have over 100. Many of them don't even make sense, like the one above, and others are just plain spam, also like the one above, but this includes many in the VG&C index. See the very top of page 14 for just one example. I tried telling you this before- see page 13- but you either laughed it off or didn;t even read it, as it was instantly obscured by "owned" or something a couple times. But regardless, dude, I think I speak for all of us when I say: shut the hell up every once in a while.

Halo
Halo didn't have multiplayer, Halo two does, and Halo 3 does. And, in fact - at the time of this post there is 22,246 players online on both Halo 2 and 3. :ugeek: Halo CE had multiplayer. Just not online. CE was great, though, especially the one level- Hydro-something, had "damnation" or damn or something in the description, loved that level for Oddball.

9/11 7 years later
I was in 4th grade, actually. Not like it matters, but just thought I'd throw that out there. Anyways, I remember walking into the classroom, looking at the TV, seeing the buildings in smoke, and thinking it was just a bad fire- the news covered those fairly often. I don't remember anything besides that, and that the national anthem and God Bless the USA and all those songs kept playing over and over on the radio, and my mom made me put my hand over my heart every time it happened.

Personally, I think it's time that we, as a nation, simply moved on. By creating this mysticism and portraying it as the holocaust of America, aren't we doing exactly what the terrorists wanted us to do? Remember it; Fear it. And another thing. I'm sick of Americans acting as if this were the most horrible thing to ever happen to anyone, anywhere. I remember hearing songs on the radio about how the world stopped turning. The world. I'm sure that that day, at that time, millions, if not billions, lived their lives as if nothing had happened. America needs to cut down on the ego a bit, and the first step is relaxing this death grip it has on the memory of 9/11.

Yes...in another week. I called customer support immediatly, and after a whole lot of me sitting there thinking "what the [bleep] is this guy doing the whole time?" he finally told me they'd ship another, which will arrive in 1-4 weeks. So I say another week, but that's really only the minimum.

Well I certainly won't be playing on the 25th because of MS's incompetence. They didn'y return my power cord, which admittedly maybe I shouldn't have sent in, but I don't know. But they DID send back the AV cable, which tells me something.

Kid Kills Himself Recreating Halo
Bullets should be banned and replaced with guns that shoot ponies. So then the ponies can trample the target to death. And he yelled at Grif for giving CPR to a headshot. When he thought it was Simmons, he praised him. Come on, guys. Shape up.

I'm actually a little concerned as to my Xbox repair. It happened awfully quickly- within 24 or so hours- and I'm a little worried that the previous owner opened 'er up, thus ensuring it can never be sent back. But they would have had to start repairing it to know that....well, we'll see on friday.
