  1. From Spain to England? Yeah, like a thousand miles flat, so you'd need whatever to stay in France for a night.
  2. ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOXANNE! The Police. If you don't know that one. I do not like you.
  3. That was someone's choice of who would win the presidential election this year (in our school newspaper). Someone else said something about Zeus. Sorry.
  4. Really? I never knew that. I guess just because I take part in personal religion rather than organized.
  5. Oh Blue, you like it. This thread's made us all the happiest girls in the world! :twss: I need a leg to show being kicked back.
  6. I think Zierro's talking about the things that make us inexplicably human. The things that make us different from everything else. Consciousness, soul, whatever you want to call it - I don't think it can be explained mathematically.

Talking with dragoon: I [bleep]ING LOVE TOYS'R'US. I can't wait 'til I can drive. I'll be going there every day.
  8. Well, the top part makes Finnish law sound crappy. I have a hard time believing it, though. From what I can look up, Finland has freedom of religion, and there is nothing that says you have to be over eighteen. Anyways, what church are you talking about? Evangelical Lutheran? For an evangelical church, they sound quite liberal. Also, according to Wikipedia, your figures are wrong by 4%. ;) As to your last part: not even gonna touch that. Petty and worthless.
  9. Err, no. There are sightings all around the world. America's are the ones people make a big deal out of.
  10. That's the other thing I don't like about it. It's very true that once they have the system in place, it will be a lot easier to add new things to the censor in the future. It has a high chance of putting our government into an overly-controlling state, and I'm not the only person who really doesn't want that to happen. Exactly. I'm sure if the Chinese that had the education to complain could complain, they'd have this same problem.
  11. If you choose Spain, be sure to go there long enough to see (and maybe enter) the running of the bulls.
  12. I have an awful memory when it comes around there.
  13. Dunno if it's nasty, but I've torn out at least three folks' stitches. I always think it's just a string (it was always on their heads), so I just say, "Hey, there's string on your head." and pull it out. And try to stop the bleeding. And the screaming. ...Which may or may not be mine.
  14. Spain or Greece. Both would be lovely, and France really depends on what part of the country. I'm not sure I would be able to choose between Spain and Greece. Both would be awesome. Something I want to say, though: If you feel like going out and looking around (which you probably will the first few weeks), ask your sponsors/family to show you the typical things, or special things that just don't catch a typical tourist's eye. Spain's language is a lot easier to read and hear, and it is just a beautiful country, just fantastic. But Greece, man. Also beautiful. And the water, and beaches. AUGH. I wish I could afford it. I've been asked to go to one of these as well. Oh well; I'd rather see the world over my thumb than with another huge group like me.
  15. To quote Pretty Woman: They're called boobs.
  16. I'm definitely not upper body strength. Period. I can max out in the hundred twenty zone or so, but I prefer the bar with maybe...ten, twenty pounds on it. I can do a lot more with my legs, praise the lawd.
  17. He just jumped out of a plane. No longer our problem.
  18. We saw some kids getting chased by cops for that. [bleep]ing hilarious, they were like sixth-graders, and we told them to run down an alley that was a dead-end. Then we left. They were VERY scary.
  19. We should own the universe. If there eds up intergalactic travel, with aliens and whatnot, I doubt we'll all coexist in peace. We need to kick some gelatinous, nineteen-legged, assless [wagon]!
  20. Huh, you really think so? At fifteen or older, I'd certainly say tried as an adult, as results of rehab and whatnot will probably be equally (un)effective. Although I do have to say 13, 14 or so, that's a little iffier.
  21. Augh, don't [bleep]ing bring religion into this. Ignorant, yes. Selfish, no. The aliens' feelings won't be hurt.
  22. Um . . . No? Is this even a serious question? A 15-year-old rapes a woman. A 30-year-old rapes a woman. They both are most likely the same amount of maturity, although they're probably seriously [bleep]ed up in the head. Shouldn't they be tried the same way?
  23. China has massive amounts of sightings. Chinese scientists claimed to have found a mass burial site for aliens in the eighties. Dunno what you're talking about. However, they would probably visit the U.S, Europe, or Japan, simply because of the amount of lights, which means life. Anyways. None here. EDIT: Now you're getting into the multi-worlds theory, something I've given some thought to. It says that there are billions of universes coexisting inside of each other, but every choice or other little thing can change the history of one and split it in two - like a cell dividing. I believe it states that atoms, being so small, yet so large (you understand, I believe?), allow other atoms to nestle inside of those. First come up with by a guy who was tired of deja vu, I believe.
  24. What if such a teenager murdered someone? Are you still that full of empathy? I know I won't be. For all we know, that teenager could be at a critical point in his life that drove him to such a drastic act, and locking him away or giving him the shot isn't going to help him through it. He could turn out to be a wonderful person with some help, because the fact is that a teenager has not fully matured, and won't until around age 20. That is not to say the act should not have repercussions, but treating a developing teenager the same way as an adult who can, in fact, take full responsibilty for his actions shouldn't be the standard. The kid has his whole life ahead of him. Would you feel the same way if a 30-year-old raped someone? We should bring black flogging, but, whatever. Depends on the crime, but heinous felonies like murder and rape and the like, certainly.
