A lot of the reason for secession threats was the North's not wanting to help the South. The North was becoming wealthy and industrialized, while in the South there was a handful of the wealthiest farmers (also the politicians) who had massive cotton plantations, while all the people who'd end up soldiers barely got by. At some points before the War, the South was just as likely to secede from itself.

Probably giving more unwanted advice, but ... You might as well just stay in Indiana. Unless you live a full year in another state, tuition shoots up seriously [bleep]ing high. For some places it can go up ten grand. And unless you're in a program, it'll either cost a whole lot or you'll have to move to go to school in the UK. Can you even go to school if you aren't a citizen of the country and you're not on any special program?

Augh. Help. I've downloaded and extracted the Native Expansion mod, saved it to the modules section in my files, but when I load up the game, my only choice is still the original "Native".

AUGH. I'm usually a relaxed videogamer, but the game HAWX is making me mad. For this one level, the developers decided, "Hey, you get to fly a huge plane a thousand miles an hour through downtown Chicago! And you shoot tanks that are between buildings closer together than your wingspan!" AUUUGH. On another note, got my passport photo done at CVS today. It looks stupid, I was wearing pajama pants and a hoodie, and it actually looked like I'd been asleep on my face. Oh well. Just a stupid passport. I'm also SO DAMN READY for school to end. Then I'm going on a trip, and then next year I'll be a sophomore and I'll start driving, and this summer I'm getting a job ... Only bad thing is my brother is probably moving to Dallas at the end of May with his girlfriend. Really sucks. He's not even around very much, but he helps me out a lot more than my parents. Plus I was wanting him for when I have my leaners' permit, because he'd always drive around with me, but my parents probably won't ... Now everything keeps going sideways. Damn Tom Clancy.
