The victim. Scamming (In runescape) is basically abusing the ignorance and stupidity of the victim and 5 year old story cant really relate here as the 5 year old went with him to get sum sweets for free and not in exchange for cash. The scammer didn't trade and swap the sweets for less sweets at the last second. The way the runescape trade works is that the victim has to be smart enough to notice a change in the numbers and most 13 year olds and older will see that. If you dont and your not 13 or older, it's your own fault for ignoring the rules. If you are 13 or older, well I give up on you.
