A couple more quest's out of the way in the last couple of days. I chose the Guthix book. I don't really train hunter that much, I just put my magic lamps on them at the moment. If I feel the need for a change, I generally go fletching. Anyways back to the fishing. See you all soon.

First of all, thanks to everyone thats given me some encouragement along the way of the 'long slow crawl'. Theres a great bunch of players on the tipitchat clan forum, if your reading this and haven't yet tried it, I can highly recommend it. No chuck norris though. Please for the love of Guthix, no chuck norris. Aside from that I've been trying my hand literally at barbarian fishing. I'm not sure that its faster experience points than Shilo Village but it does look more interesting pulling fish out of the water than just dangling a rod over the water. The next quest for the list is going to be 'Horror from the deep'. Look forward to getting the Prayer book soon. Just as a commentary as I didn't feel it was necessary to start a new 'rant' post about it... Just when you think you've seen all the idiotic behaviour that can be seen on this mighty fine game, someone comes along and shows that, yes there is something even lower than whats been seen before. Names and offensive text edited to protect the innocent and hopefully soon to be banned. Anyway items to obtain and a quest to complete. Shouts out to everyone I chat to on tipit clan chat. So a couple of hundred more sharks closer to raising fishing to level 93. Raised my strength level a bit. Then giving some pests a resounding thrashing and to cap it all some interesting duelling matches to round of the session. Best match was this one. :D Also worth noting that there was some great players of all levels and very few flamers, a first? Yeah quite happy with that. Also a big hello to everyone that I was chatting to on the clan chat. :D Time to catch some zzz's.

I agree, plus its a fair argument that they don't have enough resources to actively enforce the rules that are already in place. Whilst I'd accept there is always going to be some element of anti-social begging in this game (see footnote), people should feel empowered that there is more to this game than standing around persistently typing "Free stuff pl0x" or similar. Even if its killing cows for there hides there making a valid effort to improving there combat level, albiet very slowly and having a viable commodity to sell on either P2P or F2P. Don't get me wrong here though, if you find begging in its many different forms fun, kudos to you, but just don't expect the rest of the world as it passes you by to play ball. As for beggars that persistently target and abuse specific player types say for example, high combat levels, skill cape wearers, etc they can be reported under Rule 1 and dealt with accordingly, perm mute etc. Why cant they even come up with something more original? Someone asking "Spare some change, guvnor?" will possibly stand a greater chance** at me giving up some gp than the chat box flooder that just gets put on ignore. Anti Social Begging By this I basically mean those that think by using 'leetspeak' or by being generally disrespectful/bullying to the community, they're going to get rewarded for their behaviour. **Chance of current begging styles working on me fit in the 'slim to none' category.

So I've decided I can no longer put off 'One Small Favour' any longer and I have completed that quest today. \ This is what I put the reward lamps on. I'll do a couple more quests and then go back to fishing. Swan Song now seems to be a good option. :-k

The onward goal to getting my fishing skill cape has come slightly closer. I've made level 92 fishing. At the moment Shilo village seems to be the place to get a nice smooth rate of fishing experience, no I've not bothered to measure it, but its good enough. I've also recently upped to level 70 mining which is quite nice. But I've also found someone to trade raw salmon and trout with, thereby saving me time when it comes to buying feathers. Nicely done! \ I'll think about doing some more quests soon, theres certainly plenty to be choosing from.

Still level 90 fishing, just 278k experience points to go. :shock: A few more quests completed, quest points now 134. :) Been off-line too much lately, trying to convince a better but still old graphics card to work on my machine. :wall: After much persistence and tinkering with the BIOS of my machine, victory is mine! \ The garden of tranquility quest has to have been the funniest so far, with 'borrowing' the statues part at the end.

The long slow crawl continues ......... Well it seems that almost everyone has been enthusiastically getting to grips with Summoning, your faithful ol' cabbage muncher has been negotiating his way through some more quests. There is still loads to do but I reckon in the fullness of time, a couple of months(?) I'll have them all done. I'm in no particular hurry to tear through them. Found one, just in the centre of the north half of the swamp. Oh well I'll finish the quest after the system update.

Hi I'm a bit stuck on this quest for one of the three items I need to get my secatuers enchanted. The three items I need are :- A piece of charcoal, a red vine worm and a fat snail. Now I have the charcoal and the red vine worm as per the helpful Quest guide.. :) But I am unable to locate a "Fat snail: Kill a not pointy, purple snail in Mort Myre swamp, the higher level the snail the better". :wall: Can someone be kind enough to direct me to the right part of the swamp? Mucho appreciation, as always. :thumbsup:

Burning logs is all well and good, but wouldn't the skill be a little more realistic if you could burn other items as well? Example? What better way to express your annoyance with yet another unwanted "Security Handbook" by using your tinderbox on it? Just a thought. :)

Whered ya get those ip's? btw, all they need is a sock 5 proxy to get a different ip. I just Googled 'Chinese IP address ranges' and browsed a few sites. I'm not that technical when it comes to the interweb, but surely if they really really wanted to couldn't they just force everyone to use the standard RS client thats available for download at there own site? Something to do with MD5 I believe?
