Oh God, there we go again. Sure, toss a few billions to the Africans, that'll solve their problems. You know what? Why don't we just give them every penny we spend on advertising, luxury products and all entertainment. Those aren't necessary either, and it counts for hundreds, if not thousands of billions. If used correctly it will, "give a man fish will feed them for a day, give a man the knowledge of how to fish he'll be fed for life". If we operated on the 2nd part of that saying we could eventually help Africa's problems. What's your view? Throw money away on something we don't need to know and that could possibly destroy us while millions upon millions suffer and die in pain? I find this an absolute waste of 4.4 Billion pounds, we're here already, why must we know how we got here? To try and prove religion wrong? I doubt it, to give some scientists their giggles? Seriously doubt that as well. That 4.4 Billion could've been spent seriously helping those in Africa, not finding out how we got here which is ratter irrelevant now :|

It is not reckless if the parents have the common sense to actually hammer the safety rules into their skulls and never let them have a gun without adult supervision, and it is the parents fault for the lack of teaching the kid common sense. I'd never let my kid near a gun till he's 15+, yes kids have had guns at 11 but I'd never feel safe around a 11 year old with a gun, they just don't know much responsibility lies in having a gun and using it correctly, it's not a toy like many video games portray. Gladly, I live in a country where only hunting rifles are allowed and stringent laws are in place. I love being in a country where guns aren't legal (well handguns and small SMG's like the Uzi or Tec-9) and people don't run on the theory "more of the problem will make us safer" :| Sorry if I offended anyone but please folks don't turn this into a debate on the status of guns in America. What he meant is he'll show this to his gun owning child and make sure they're aware of what can happen if you try to re-enact dangerous things / play with a gun you think is safe, as in reality no gun is safe. They're designed for one purpose, to take away life from the thing they're aimed at. M60 does a huge amount of damage but is incredibly inaccurate and the crosshairs are terrible so you must use RDS basically ruling out the chance of using a grip for much more accuracy. IMO a good LMG set up is RPD with grip as RPD has amazing crosshairs and is very accurate in bursts with the grip, 3x Frags and sonic boom or 2x Claymore and Sonic boom, sit in a clever camping position and set up Clays to defend you.

Yep, people tend to blame what they don't care about. Hence the parents blaming the video game, and everyone in this thread blaming the parents/the gun. At 11 I had access to a .22 and even bigger guns, I would have never thought about playing around with one. The main rule of gun safety is never point it at something unless you plan on shooting it, even if you know for a fact the gun is unloaded and the safety is on and your finger isn't on the trigger. So many people never stand by that rule, even if you know it's unloaded, safety on etc as you mentioned there will be a time when it's loaded and they don't treat it right, [cabbage] could happen and someone will be seriously injured :|

I do not believe in any of the whole "Satan and Sin" thought as Sins are often way to strict to be considered in modern life and I think Satan and Hell is Christianity's way of scaring people into believing. I instead believe what is morally right and wrong, they often lye on the same principals but there are so many stupid Sins it's unbelievable. I'll never agree with murder, but I'll let someone choose their own religion, lifestyle, sexuality etc, which often comes down to being a "sin" :| Anyway for your question: I'd go over and try and get in with any of her hot friends, if she has no hot friends I'd go over and just make friends.

I'd say suspension bridge is your best bet but building that with paper would be very hard as you really need a rope or metal wire for the whole suspension part. Try building something like the one Zox posted, make sure you use a lot of very tightly rolled up paper for support. Build it as if you were building it solely out of wood and steel. The rolled up paper is essentially your steel supports and the wood is your sheets of paper to fill the gaps. EDIT: Ginger's idea of triangles is a very good one as they are very rigid and spread the wait equally if you build them either equilateral or isosceles, they can also spread the wait on the base over a much wider area than a standard cuboid type support.

I'm not a good runner, never did well at endurance. I can't stand running in circles or on a treadmill till I add up 5K worth in distance, I don't mind running on tracks in forests and whatever but I much prefer mountain biking to that. The only time I run now is when "[cabbage] happens" tbh :P

Only moved once in my life but it was great because I was only moving from one house to another about 3 miles away, the house was bigger and in a nicer location. My old house was about 1.5 miles from my school and my new one was the same distance in the other direction so I wasn't leaving behind any of my friends, now when I go out to hang out with friends I either walk or get a 5-10 min busy journey so it's not bad. I'd absolutely hate to have to move to another city / district and leave my friends behind.

I agree with Sara, you just removed 4 items from Runescape which could have potentially been bought in the future by a person who properly wanted them, I wouldn't see a problem in alching their respect values in GS's or whatever, but doing rares was in a way selfish :| If anything you're being greedy yourself, by placing it in the party room you would no longer own the item but it wouldn't be removed from Runescape, keeping it in circulation while also making someone so much happier, because I doubt it made you as happy as someone receiving a free 300 Million. Before you comment back, I'm not jealous, RS for me isn't about amassing wealth.

Of course the media would portray it as the game industry's fault that the 11 year old died, when it really is the fault of the parents for allowing a 11 year old child access to a gun. Halo isn't to be blamed for this, the kid might have tried to re-enact a violent movie the same day if he didn't have Halo, the only thing this is down to is the lack of responsibility shown by the parents.

There is very little I fear tbh, not a "hardman", pain just doesn't really bother me. My greatest fear is death bu suffocation such as smoke inhalation or drowing, I'd rather have the pain of cancer than that.

How can you express such an opinion if you don't know what if would be like? No matter how horrible your life is I doubt it compares to the life of a child knowing their whole birth was a mistake, their mother never wanted them and their dad is a sick bastard. Many of us here who think they could imagine living life in their shoes simply can't as we hold no similarities to it.

I'd treat them equally, as soon as they're old enough to make proper decisions I'll let them lead their way in life, my dad has put so much control over me and my life that I hate him now, I wouldn't want my kids to feel the same :| If my kid wants to wear the latest fashion I'll let them, if they want to listen to unpopular music genre I'll let them, if they want to play a sport I'll let them. The only time I'd ever interfere in my kids life if it is something detrimental to their health or the future and wellbeing of their future life.

Anyone who believes loose change is a fool tbh. Think about it, if the American government has no problem in demolishing 2 major buildings and killing 3,000 innocent civilians they why wouldn't they kill 2 more college kids questioning them? :|
