  1. 1) Plz: Is it really THAT hard to type out "please?" When someone asks me something with 'plz', I nearly always decline whatever it is they are asking for, just out of spite. That is how much that word irks me. 3) Wif, dat, dis, wat, wot, etc: Only uneducated pre-adolescents say these words. Anyone who is an adult or otherwise somewhat mature would NEVER use such asinine abbreviations that smack of stupidity. If you use these words, I almost immediately lose most, if not all, respect for you. 3) Emote: I get begged to do my cape emote almost everywhere I go... And people are really rude about it, too. It's like they think I am OBLIGATED to entertain them or something. It's ESPECIALLY irksome when I am in PC killing a portal and some random moron walks up to me and says "do emo plz!" Oh yeah, I am going to IMMEDIATELY drop what I am doing and become as useless an asset to the team as YOU are, just because your curiosity is gnawing away at you and you are too stupid to use Youtube.
  2. P hat set. I would sell two and buy 99 magic, ranged, prayer and construction. Then I'd give my friends 10m each. Then I'd put one of the p hats on a level 3 character and sell it on EBAY for like $2k.
  3. Great, now my mom is harping about how "I am addicted and I don't need to be playing RS once I go to school." [bleep]ing hacks. I will play RS once I am in college, just in moderation. Every time an article like this comes out, she goes way overboard with the paranoid parent bullcrap.
  4. The Dark Bows were kind of shoved aside when Jagex upgraded the crossbows... Honestly, there is no reason to have a Dark Bow other than the special, which isn't enough to risk 4m+ when in the Wildy... The crossbows are cheap and very powerful...
  5. ROFL. =D> And let me throw in my two cents. Yes, I've gone more than 24 hours without a shower because I was too busy playing RS. Yes, I was also suicidal at one point in time. However, RS was NOT the reason I was suicidal. I was having a very hard time with my social life, and I was going through major problems with the opposite sex. I often retreated to RS to escape from reality, and still do. Am I obsessed? Maybe. Does that mean that I need to see a shrink? No. I can draw the line when need be. Once I start college in the fall, I will definitely curb my gameplay time, as I will have to actually study to make A's instead of just coasting.
  6. I know too many friends who had "friends" jack their rares. :-#
  7. Jagex would NEVER make rares untradable, despite how much I'd like them to, for one simple reason: profit. If they made rares untradable, thousands of people would quit, losing Jagex tens of thousands of pounds.
  8. Magic, alone, is underpowered. However, combine barrage with addy/rune bolts or Dragon Arrows + a Dark Bow and you get a force to be reckoned with. The major advantage to magic is that you do not need any weapon to cast it. Therefore, you can hybrid quite easily with ranged.
  9. Calling someone a noob is more or less the equivalent of saying "your mom, heheh" in real life. Both are extremely overused by ignorant, immature people who are too stupid to actually come up with witty rhetoric.
  10. A fire cape is, imo, is a greater achievement than any of the combat capes, cooking, and fletching capes. Any noob can PC his way to 99 combat stats and 99 magic/ranged... However, the mining, agility, herblore, farming, slayer, fishing, smithing, construction, crafting, woodcutting and runecrafting capes are all a vastly superior achievement to the fire cape.
  11. Yeah, I only attempted it once.... Got to Jad and got owned. Didn't have the heart to try again. :boohoo:
  12. I am level 122 and I still don't have a fire cape. It's still an achievement, imo, because not every one is coordinated/calm enough to not goof up on the prayer switching.
  13. You know, it probably wouldn't be too difficult for Jagex to add new hairstyles and clothing selections into the game.. They don't have to change any of the existing code for the standard avatar images, just add to it. Since the code already exists for several unique hairstyles (The falcon trainer's, for example) they could just copy/paste it while adding a couple lines to allow for selection of that particular hairstyle when designing/redesigning your character's appearance.
  14. I've hit a 40 with Keris and prayer, non "special." So I would imagine you can hit at least 120 with it, if you are extremely lucky. You probably have a better chance of a 39-39 special with a DDS, though. :-k
  15. I think it's unfair that a level 122 can be beaten by a level 110 who has millions less combat experience. The combat system is entirely too luck-based. The comparison I find suitable is that raising your strength is the same as upgrading from an 8 sided die to a 12 sided die... And raising your attack is the same as letting you roll the die twice and averaging the two rolls together for your final damage.
  16. I still stand by my claim that Pete's account is handled by more than one person, although it's really quite irrelevant. This has gotten really off-topic :ohnoes: Steering the thread in the right direction, it is really annoying seeing lots of people with the name "zezima235" and stuff like that. I mean honestly, are you THAT uncreative and lacking in self-respect that you have to use someone else's name?
  17. Actually it has the SECOND best magic defense in the game. A Mage's Book has 15 magic defense :-w
  18. I would create another MSN account and play it off as if I were someone else to get his trust, and then when his guard is down, I'd send him a .gif file with a keylogger attached. Meh, I am 122 combat and I never skill without my whip equipped (to deal with randoms.. It adds no weight, so it is to my benefit to wield it.) so chances are I wouldn't die to it anyway.
  19. You need to be ranked on the high scores... It uses the info from the RS high scores to update the sigs.
  20. IIRC, 65 is the best level. At 65, you can use the Crystal Saw and gilded tea to make a Gilded Altar. There is no point raising it past that level.
  21. People in RS idolize cheaters for the same reasons that a lot of people in ghettos think it's acceptable and even admirable behavior to lie, steal, and cheat on their wives. Imo, it's the same mentality that spawned the popular "organized crime" scene in the 20s. People get a rush from being dishonest and they think honest people are suckers. They think "why the hell should I work several years for something when I can get it in an hour by stealing?" Blame the media for advocating such behaviors through popular immoral celebrities like 50 Cent, 3-6 Mafia, and other "gangstah rappers." It also has to do with morals and maturity, both of which are lacked by 85% of RS. You would not believe how repulsive the Rants forum has become... There are more idiotic, immature spammers than ever and it also seems the Forum Mods have realized they are fighting a losing battle and given up, for the most part.
  22. I still like my idea of smothering them with n33bspeak the best. (4 thos of u who wana kno dis is n33bspeak, were u tak wif rally bad spelin an use incoherent gramer; maek sure to inevrt lots of leters an use words leik wif, dat, and dis. )
  23. I concur. #-o I paid 35m for it last night... And to me, it was worth it.
  24. I would call them a noob and then say "if u dun go to enuther werld, im gona report u for bug aboose, cuz ur buggin me"
  25. Are you sure about that? I remember trying it on as soon as I got it and it gave a +7 strength bonus...
