Nothing has changed on the shield, people. It always used to have a +7 strength bonus when uncharged, and it still has the +10 magic defense.

I think the Dragonfire shield will revolutionize RS. The dfire special provides a very effective method of KO. Btw, is your avatar Lucia from Lunar EB?

Yep, I have one too. I have a feeling they will go back up after all the idiots realize that the KB is wrong in stating that there is no strength bonus. And even if it doesn't, I doubt it will go below 20m for several months. Visages are too rare and too many people want the shield. Although Abby Whip is right, the place is covered in fire bolt mages... Pathetic noobs that they are. Real (or smart) men melee the dragons. It is not only cheaper but faster if you use super sets. The shield is totally worth the money, though. It is by far the best melee defense shield and the second beset magic defense shield... And the highest strength bonus... And a dragonfire blaster, all rolled up into one! \

For all wondering, the KB changes are WRONG. The shield still adds the strength bonus.

Good luck getting one for less than 30m...

They ARE tradable, if they do not have any dragonfire charges. I know, as I had a clan friend smith mine. Also, its general store price is an orgasmic 800k. That is like 10x anything else \ Here is a pic of me wearing it, with the maximum defense bonuses possible nix a Fire Cape.

Yep, after I died and lost my Berserker, I was seriously disheartened, as that was around 1/5 of my worth. Well, I started merching and managed to sell a fury for like 40 glory amulets, which I charged and made around a 1m profit. Then, I continued to slay and eventually got a robin. So, I've more than quadrupled the amount of money I had back then... It just takes heart. In the end: There is the saying " :ohnoes: happens, roll with it."

Here's the worst time I died: I went to the iron dragons... Okay... I get there, turn on protect melee... And get hit for a 16... I am like WTF? Then I get hit again, for a 2. At that point, I realize OMFG I BROUGHT MY RUNE DEFENDER INSTEAD OF MY ANTIFIRE SHIELD. After panic set in, I tried to outrun the fireballs, instead of teleing. My brain apprently shut off. After getting hit three more times, I kneeled and lost a berserker ring, Black Mask, Rune Axe, Obby Cape, Lava Battle, and some sharks and pots.

In my opinion, the most cost effective method is to wear as much mage boosting gear as possible, to maximize effeciancy. You want to take down a Brother within two hits of the "Ghostly Aura" if possible. I'll tell what I use... Ahrims Hood Ahrims Top Ahrims Skirt Ancient Staff Zammy Book (interchangable with Mage Book, if you are willing to risk it) Black Mystic Boots (interchangable with infinity boots) Dark Gloves Seers Ring Amulet of Fury Zamorak Cape In my inventory, I carry a Rune Defender, Abby Whip, and DDS. I use Ice Blitz to hold the brother and then use Ice Burst on autocast as my primary attack, recasting Blitz when necessary. I use up all my prayer, but do not pot unless Dharok/Karil are in the Tunnel. I burst everything except Karil and Ahrim, whom I use the DDS/Whip combo. I carry house tablets, 4 sharks, 8 lobsters, and 1 four dose Prayer Potion. My order is: Dharok > Karil > Ahrim > Guthan > Torag > Verac

I thought about including herblore, but it's actually easy to buy. Just buy oodles of limps, kwuarms, and vials... And make super strength pots. And then resell them. And do that until you can make sara brews... You can't buy agility.

Imo, these are the top 5 most respected capes: 1) Runecrafting... You get piss poor experience even at high levels. What is funny is that anybody who gets 99 runecrafting can buy a party hat if they saved all the money from selling the natures they crafted. 2) Slayer... You get 1 experience per HP that each monster has. In essence, you need to deal over 13,032 damage.. At its best, you can get 50k experience per hour. 3) Agility... It's mind numbingly boring to repeatedly cycle through obstacle courses. 4) Farming... It takes forever to wait for your crops to grow to cycle them. 5) Construction... It is extremely expensive. Therefore, in judging how "admirable" a cape is, there are a few factors: Cost: how expensive is it to gather the resources to level? Exp Rate: how much experience can you get per hour? 70k+ is a good rate, although in skills such as theiving, magic and prayer, it's possible to exceed well over 200k per hour.

I've seen numerous pics of people hitting over 95s with Dharoks, in some tomb-like area... Where is that area? I know it requires a salve amulet, as well.

Yes, it is always irritating to see a level 50 with four ranked stats with a white crown, when I have played for over 6 years and NEVER had a blackmark.... Yet have I been contacted to be a P mod, even once? Nope. :boohoo:
