This is so wrong on so many levels. I cannot believe that this news agency was not responsible enough to truly paw through Jagex's Terms of Service and see the clearly worded policy about real world trading. The least they could have done was see the official RS rules and mentioned after the comment made by the mother that RWT is considered a violation of the TOS and can lead to your account being terminated. The parents boggle me with how irresponsible they are. Wouldn't the fact that the child is purchasing items from a site other than RuneScape be a red flag for them? The lack of common sense just shocks me. I'm really surprised how the kid was not suspicious when he was asked to join a clan and ended up on a site that looked like a redirect to RS. *sigh* the kid was naive...I do think the parents should have been more responsible.

Teehee my fingers still feel fine and I think my 3.8-4.0 GPA indicates that I had something to do for the last two years : (I know when to take breaks)...mining is too much of a misunderstood skill in my opinion. Could use some major reworking but no need to hate it with such a passion in my opinion. I quite appreciate the money I get from it. I don't consider it mere lunch money in F2P. But arguably in members mining may not have much of a purpose considering all the competitively higher paying members skills/items. Mining would get alot more converts if Jagex were devious enough to make their 150th quest have an 85+ mining requirement...he he he. Doubt it would EVER happen though :lol:.

And lets not forget that Mechwarrior predated all of them ;) (please correct me if something predated MW, I'm no wiz on pc/video game history)...yeah that's right, I happen to be a female who found that game entertaining, my taste is diverse you could say. Many game companies work off of successful concepts and try to put their spin on it. I appreciate such efforts only if they were genuinely good and not a poorly put together production.

Hey all, took a short break from mining and decided to play around with my Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 package that I had gotten as a gift recently. I decided to make an RSMV as my first initial test of its capabilities :. I got the chance to finally see Slumdog Millionaire this weekend and heard a very powerful song while watching the film. So the song that is featured in my RSMV will be "Paper Planes" by M.I.A. I had fun making this video and hope that you find it fun to watch. Enjoy! Indeed we are...and I am the leader :twisted:! All joking aside, it just fits in with the Medieval theme. Knights or noble people would have the titles of "Sir," "Lord," "Lady," etc. Shahdie just looked too lonely to me so I appended Lady to it. Funny enough people mispronounce it as "Lady Shady" so it has a funny ring to it :lol: (its pronounced "Shah-dee"). As far as funny RSNs I recall a rather raunchy one I encountered that was called "Whats Viagra." He's still unbanned and I mine alongside him at Al Kharid sometimes. People immediately stop mining and say to him "Do u no wat ur name means?!"

As always I have to give a shout out and support my fellow miners =D>. Be proud of your achievement and wear your new trimmed capes with pride. Simply stunning dedication with all your stats, 10/10.

I don't mean to nitpick but the grammar of the title is quite off. Of course the whole "Melee" not "Melle" thing has been cleared, however Melee is a skill and is therefore not a person. So the correct title would be "What combat skill holds true power in runescape? Melee!" :thumbsup: nitpicking> Alright back on topic! While I certainly don't possess the stats to be considered a good pker, monster killer, or fighter in general :?...I have often observed that it is not the combat skill that determines dominance but the player that actually uses them. The strongest weapon in an RS player's arsenal is their brain and ability to strategize. A few red splats with big numbers does not win fights. What truly wins fights is the ability to know what to hit with, when to eat/when to not, and sealing the deal with a well timed ko attempt. So looking at it this way, you could say all the combat skills have their time and place. However, they are useless when a player is not experienced enough to utilize any of them to their fullest potential (like me :oops:).

I am really feeling more of that "Jagex [is not a] secretive and closed-off company" quote that Mark had made in his first initial post. Its great to see the high ups reaching out to the community more...and goodness he wants to dish out more answers? I think he's making a pretty decent attempt to keep his promises. Lets still hope that this will also apply to the future promised content and not just the press releases :pray:.

I used to get really worked up whenever that occurred but in recent times I realize its ridiculous to let such pests annoy you in the slightest. So what I do if I'm ever bested by one of those inconsiderate people is tell them that they better enjoy all the bad karma they're racking up: "What goes around comes around." Sometimes just for kicks I visit them 15 minutes later and see someone is working in on their spot just as they had done to mine...+1 for karma, it never fails \!

I think it is very humanizing that he used a smiley. Its nice to get the impression that Jagex's CEO isn't exactly all that uptight. Of course that post could have been entirely written just to keep up with appearances but I'm remaining optimistic for now and will take it as genuine.

Well most would tell you that your assertion is entirely subjective but I feel almost the exact the same way as you feel :?. I think we are just paying more attention to the already excessive random rate we have long endured. Its just all this anticipation for the update is making us loath them more and more as time draws closer...no offense to you random lovers out there (now that came out weird :lol:).

It is literally within my grasp. All I have to do is reach out and touch it :shock:. Just...two...more...levels...*faints*

Thanks for your post Atom! I know you can make it there along with me! Just keep looking forward and have faith that you will eventually see the fruits of your labor rewarded. Remember it is not how long it takes to get there that matters, it is making it to the very end that counts. Good luck and keep swinging that pickaxe ;)!

Atom I know you are capable of it as well. The important thing about this goal is to realize that it is not how fast you get there but the fact that you make it to the very end. Its taken me close to 2 years and I'm still going strong. Have faith in yourself my good friend! Thanks all for the encouraging posts, my progress has now reached 81% completion and at this rate I may be able to make it through the final agonizing 60K+ iron till 99 mining within 3-6 weeks *crosses fingers*. One thing is certain however...I will achieve 97 mining sometime tonight or tomorrow...stay tuned :D !

Why do all the big corporations always embrace the attitude of: "Money lets roll in the money bring in more money money money money..." Jagex whether in the previous years or after this post never struck me as that kind of company. Whatever happened to gaming companies producing a product that not only brought in Benjamins but actually had people rave about it and say it was simply "fun." I'm sure even with this supposedly radical (or attempts to "please everyone") approach Jagex will stay afloat and prosper just as they have for the past several years. Forgive me if I am using poor and rudimentary logic here but I just don't see a reason to worry so much :P...

This news piece has brought me much more optimism than the past ones have. Now I know talk is usually cheap and actions are what speaks volumes...but I am highly impressed by Mod MMG's efforts to reach out to all RS players out there. His statement about F2P finally is a slap in the face to those who long cried: "F2P is merely just a demo!" While I believe members are fully entitled to enjoy all the benefits they pay for and F2P should be grateful for anything they receive (which I am)...I am glad that they still believe F2P is entitled to enjoy the game just as much. Great first post by the new CEO. Change does look like its coming, all we have to do now is wait and see how much and how well such changes will occur :.

A landmark achievement dear blog readers has happened 1 minute and 4 seconds ago! I hit the 10 million mining xp mark :D! The double digit millions are a highly desirable xp value to reach. There's no stopping me now...99 mining here I come!

For you men out there clueless as to what "bangs" are (even though there are male hairstyles irl that have them ) this is what they are: Anyways back on topic, yes I share your pain! However its not really the mandatory addition of bangs or not to some hairstyles its the fact that the hairstyles are just truly awful and limited period. As far as the "long hair issue," I kind of find it funny that the male long hairstyle is noticeably longer in length than any of the female hairstyles :lol:. Ah well, the game is based on JavaScript, there's only so much they can do with our avatars. Everything has a give and take in life.
