Actually there's quite a science to it. The respawn times are as follow: Full World --> 12 minute respawn 1800 People --> 14 minute respawn 1600 People --> 16 minute respawn 1300 People --> 18 minute respawn 1100 People --> 19 minute respawn 1000 People --> 20 minute respawn 600-900 People --> 22 minute respawn <550 People --> 24 minute respawn [hide=Super Secret Tip]I time a world according to the amount of people on the world and come back after the timed duration has passed on that world. On a good day I can get up to 10 worlds timed and mine a full inventory every 1.5-2 hours.[/hide]

I've rarily witnessed the more "heated" discussions turn into flame wars...maybe its because I don't head to the Rants section or controversial topics that often :P. Mostly I see alot of excuses to debate the miniscule details and try to find arguments to support one side over the other. Well most threads on TIF would be very dry reads if everyone just chimed in with: "Well I don't think I agree with you but yeah you are so right, lets have cake :D!" The debate factor makes threads interesting and engaging to read. Much like the responses in this thread... By the way, welcome to the forums Mr. Lurker :. To love mining, one must have an acquired taste :. I doubt that many would ever develop a passion for the skill even with several updates to the current way to extract ores, current selection of pickaxes, or even the addition of a "drop all" option for the aggressive powerminer (like me occassionally lol). It is an incredibly mind numbing skill and its merely meant to be a gathering skill...nothing more and nothing less. How can one make gathering more exciting eh? Kind of hard to ponder ain't it :D?

Lvl 89 Mining ACHIEVED!!! Achieving Level 89 Mining Screenshot WOAH two updates in one day! Well I couldn't resist myself...I "went for the gold" (as they say in the Olympics :) and achieved 89 mining precisely 5 minutes ago! I am incredibly ecstatic right now and glad I was able to achieve this level before starting sophmore year of college. As I have always told you all, don't lose faith in me ;). Consider me the little mining turtoise that could (lol two Aaesop fable-like analogies). Thanks for all the rallying cheers and encouragement Hyt2 chat. It really helped motivate me during the last mundane ks. Well a very epic level is ahead of me...90. Upon reaching that level, my journey will take a new turn. I will have humongous xp grinds ahead and a lot of pixelated blood, sweat, and tears to shed. But I am ready. I am prepared... I am Lady Shahdie!

Hi all, cut down the xp left to 89 down to a reasonable 70k. I have to admit that I've been diverting myself recently with Fist of Guthix. I am completely addicted to that mini game now! Managed to get an 800+ rating after a mere 3 days :mrgreen: . I also saved up my rune mining money recently (instead of spending it on frivelous things) and spent it on one of the cheapest materials I could find to level up a skill. Logs. Yep, bought quite a large stock of willow logs to level up firemaking for the heck of it (bought enough to get to level 80 :P). Doubt I will raise my firemaking like crazy though...mining is my true beck and call.

Too bad a little level 80 like me would not be able to partake in the war :P . Since clan wars has a 200 person limit...I'm guessing of course we'll send in our best and finest. Ah well, I'll stick around and cheer from the portal.

Hi all, long time no post! I pretty much leisure mined for the past week and left off at 191k away from level 89 today. 89 is going to be a very exciting level to mine through. The fact that I'll have a pretty satisfying goal ahead, 90 mining, makes it one that will be very motivating. Summer is drawing to a close and my sophomore year of college will start soon. Which means lesser and lesser time to mine. Nevertheless, mining has become less of a challenge now and more of therapeutic experience (*hears someone whispers "She's freaking crazy! How in the heck can click-click-click be therapeutic?"*) Though I am not attacking it voraciously, I notice I enjoy it more as I take my time and savor each bit of progress as I move one step closer to my goal. I do a mix of various things. If I'm simply desiring to level up I powermine iron at Rimmington (and occasionally Al Kharid). During those sessions I do the drop one at a time method rather than drop all at once method. When I desire a balance of cash and xp I mine coal in the mining guild and bank it. If I desire pure cash I go for runite :mrgreen:. Lately I've been relaxing in the mining guild and doing a powermine session once or twice a week. Thanks for all the encouragement!

Very intelligent updates, I couldn't be happier :D ! It was quite nice of them to end the beta period in such a short time and allow us F2pers to experiece the godliness of HD RuneScape. I swear its awe inspiring :shock: ... The bank update ain't bad either eh heh.

I finally was able to complete a more sizable mining session today and racked up 54k xp. I was also able to hit the 4.5 Mill mark :D ! Going to lay down my pick and rest for the remainder of the day (or should I say night...*cough* 10:36 PM on the West coast).

Hey all didn't get much mining time this week but on a combat break I managed to achieve something quite nice...level 80 combat ! Hardly epic but I can't complain \ ...Just wish my armor trim wasn't glitching! Yuck black plate trim >.

Hey all, mined a meager 30k today and managed to get myself a wee bit of runite to pawn off at the Grand Exchange. My welcome back has been tremendous to say the least :shock:! The floods of pms coming in were really very heartwarming to see guys . I rolled by Lightning chat a couple times but didn't want to disturb the chat much. Once I identified I came back I got a few "hellos" and "I remember you!" (not as overwhelmingly as my pms but it was still nice to see) In other news, the graphics update is really wowing me. *whispers*Wowing me almost to the point to get members...but it'll still be awhile before that happens *sigh* I talked to a bank teller to view how the NPCs avatars would appear. After a cordial hello I finally saw how my avatar appeared! Check it out for yourself: Lady Shahdie Saying Hello The air tiara looks as fetching as ever in my opinion :D...the bobble head is a slight turn off though. Catch you all later!

Before I begin, may I request that we please stop debating the whole "entitlement" thing :shock: ? Its an argument that spins in circles and it is ridiculous to bicker about it nonsensically.minor rant> Anyways, HD is a guaranteed F2P update. The quote above extracted from the blurb written about the HD update proves this (so why all the posts claiming it ain't going to happen?). The Beta however may not exactly be a short one (considering the many bugs that are popping up), so there may be a significant delay before F2P receives the update. Also, what exactly will be the use of limiting the HD graphics when F2P locations are just a minor blot on the map (pretty limiting by itself)? Fullscreen however is where the debate gets trickier. I have to admit that Fullscreen is screaming "Members bonus" at the moment. Jagex hasn't confirmed F2Pers will receive this option and its just the kind of eye candy to tempt us non-members into going member for the enhanced experience :? . The subtle "POH-like" button may be slipped in, as others have mentioned, as a reminder that it is a "member's only feature." At the end of the day how different is fullscreen from not receiving numerous available skills, items, or quests? To be honest, upgrading the gameplay truly makes the experience more enjoyable or desirable. I get quite excited when Jagex provides F2Pers like myself new features like the Duel Arena, Clan Wars, or BH (which has its flaws I know) to be the first minigame to be available to F2P. I also drool when Jagex builds up hype over a new skill, like during the summoning hype, and realize I will not be able to experience it and only remain desiring it. The point is most of us need to refrain from adopting this whiny kid mentality when something great like this comes along. F2Pers do not need to whine till their faces turn blue if they do not get fullscreen and members do not have to whine till their faces turn blue why F2Pers should not receive anything period. We should take in this update with great enthusiasm and give Jagex a pat on the back for an amazing job and hours of work well spent.

I've been enjoying summer break at the moment so that's why those of you who spy on my progress will notice that its minimal ;) . However, I've been enticed to come back with the amazing new graphics update. I'll try to roll by Lightning chat sometime soon!

Guess whose back :D ? Its me everyone! I logged on today and may keep popping on and off. I doubt I can maintain the same period of activity I use to at the moment but I may be hacking my little pick down to a nub throughout the week. Its been quite a long absence hasn't it? Feels great to back and at it again though. Hope to Hyt any old friends in game some time soon :) .

No I do not think I have the patience to be a teacher :P! Kind of ironic that I have more patience for mining however. I found using the voice server as lots of fun and entertaining...or in other words "enthralling" :D (the word I was mocked for saying in Ventrilo chat). Just as great as Lightning chat.

Happy that you made it, all these other people who cringe at mining do not realize it just requires that extra bit of patience...and by George you've got it :D ! Nice work mining champion.
