New Zamorak altar = A new essence? Pure/Rune ess prices?
Regardless of what happens in the update, I just hope pure ess prices fall and rune ess prices rise, so I didn't waste my money on the 1.05 million rune essence I bought from goldfarmers (for 28 ea). :

Pure essence has always been unminable to f2p players. We can only mine regular Rune Essence. Members can mine both.

RuneScape TV ads?
I wouldn't see the ad, Jagex will probably play theirs during the day and not at primetime night. I'll tell my cousin to watch out for them while he's watching Play School. :)

New Zamorak altar = A new essence? Pure/Rune ess prices?
How so? OK, I've just bought 1.064 million rune essence (enough to be ablt to craft into air runes for 91 runecrafting). I'll be holding onto them, hoping that prices rise after the update. :XD:

hehe, I myself have 900k rune ess, and I'm torn between selling it now, keeping it to sell later, or just runecraft with them. :-#

New Zamorak altar = A new essence? Pure/Rune ess prices?
Prior to the Behind The Scenes September update, Pure ess prices were cruising at an easy 70gp each, sometimes even lower. Rune ess went for a solid price of 40gp each, mass (200k+) sellers cashing in with 50gp each. When knowledge of a new Zamorak Altar (which probably isn't a blood altar as stated by a Jmod), pure ess prices shot up (90gp - 100gp) while rune ess prices plummeted (30gp ea - I myself bought 500K+ for 28gp ea :) ). This is understandable, as many people assume that the Zamorak Altar will ONLY take pure ess, which is required for the runecrafting high-level runes. However, I (uncertainly) believe that either, A) a new type of essence will be introduced into the game, fit to be crafted by Zamorakians with their new altar, or B) regular rune essence will be the only essence accepted by the Zamorakian Altar. Sounds absurd? Well, it probably is, but I have my doubts on whether a Zamorak altar would accept something as 'pure' and 'Saradomin-like' as 'Pure' essence to be runecrafted. When I think of Pure, I think of 'perfect' or 'predictably reliable' (as in it's basically monotonous in its powers - with little side effects or something like that), which are attributes that the BTS excerpt does not suggest: My wild theory means that a new 'Impure' essence has a possibility of being introduced, only to be used to craft runes on this new Zamorak Altar. This would have a large (probably undesirable) effect on the current fluctuating rune/pure essence prices. I would guess that both prices will drop (rune essence possibly staying the same), given the introduction of this theorized "Impure Essence". Now some questions: Do you think the introduction of a new essence to coincide with the Zammy Altar update is probable or preposterous? Would you think that the current flying prices of pure ess and falling prices of rune ess will drop or maintain? Do you think the major RC update will affect the money-making position of double nats via abyss (I hope my quest for 91 RC is not in vain)? (I hope my articulation in this post is understandable, I was rushing a bit)

Hiscores.
Jagex will increase the capacity of the hiscore list. Previously, 2 or so years ago, the hiscore only showed the top 500,000 in a skill, until it got updated to 1m.

Fast question: Average spell casts per hour?
How much modern spellbook magic attacks (i.e. in my case, fire bolts) can one cast in an hour against monsters? To be specific, how many can be cast at steel/iron dragons per hour (concentrating hard - only stopping casts to pick up drops, take a sip of anti pot, etc.)? Rough numbers of casts are needed, you don't have to be exact. Exp per hour received using fire bolts would be appreciated too.

Lunar Magics
It's useful for slayer. NPC contact is great for fast task changes, and along with Spellbook Swap, you can use normal spellbook to teleport or high alch. Also there's a tele to Catherby and Fishing Guild. Vengeance is extremely useful for duels or pking etc. Humidify for power mining granite in the desert or for fast filling of vials. Super glassmake for molten glass making, etc etc.

How to get the Freaky Forester Random Event?
Sure, they could be random in times, but I find that random events tend to cluster amongst certain areas. For example, EVERYTIME I am teleporting, a mysterious old man appears and this can lead to the box, talking to him, mime, pinball, or the maze. You could say that this, indeed, is random, but in all my three years of Runescape, I have NEVER receieved any other non-old man random event when teleporting. Also, I tend to be kidnapped by Molly in Falador East bank in high capacity servers. To the rest, thanks for the suggestions, I'll try one of those things at a time and see when that Freaky man comes :)

How to get the Freaky Forester Random Event?
Hi, with the halting of my members subscription until Christmas, I have nearly 4 months to alch 100K+ items among other things. I have heard, on a previous thread I have started, that the Freaky Forester Random event does not automatically shade out your magic spellbook tab, unlike other events (such as mime, maze, evil twin, etc). I have confirmed this myself, I was teleported to the Freaky Forester pheasant place where I could open and access my magic spellbook. However, I had no alchemy or teleport runes with me at the time so I could not test whether I could alch in there. So, with that said, I am attempting to receive a Freaky Forester random while I'm alching, because you can't get another random event while you're already in a random event, right? Well, I'll test it anyway, so what kind of action/s is/are best to attract a Freaky Forester? I'm assuming that since Freaky Forester is tied in with woodcutting, I will get receive the event if I cut yews along with those lvl 3 bots? If you receive Freaky Foresters often in a certain f2p place, posting where and what you were doing when you obtaained the event would be helpful.

Best EXP per hour rates for skills up to 99?
Thanks for the info on exp/hr :). Which would be fastest to raise from say, 1 to 99: cooking, fletching or firemaking? (for fm I would burn the maples I receive from MTK and for cooking and fletching I would do it the standard ways)

Best EXP per hour rates for skills up to 99?
After I obtain my 99 magic cape (yes, I am DETERMINED to get this, and I will by next year [i've calculated carefully :)] ), I may be searching for a second 99 skill to get that sexy blue trim on the mage cape. However I need some info from you guys about how much exp I can obtain hourly using the best possible method (without spending OBVIOUSLY too much money such as W66 Laws to 99 rc or making prayer pots or something to 99 herblore). I'm more interested in the fact that I will have another 99 skill and thus a trimmed cape over the use of a 99 skill (e.g. 99 firemaking has basically no use whatsoever, albeit fast to train). I have heard that: Firemaking Cooking Fletching Thieving (180,000 exp per hour at pyramid plunder at 91 thieving, wtf?) ... are the fastest skills to train for minimal loss of money. If someone could label each skill with the reasonable maximum amount of exp that I can receive without spending too money, as well as the method used to get to 99, that would be helpful. To be honest, I wouldn't want to spend 10 million gp or more on the skill, unless it is a skill that is actually useful at 99 level. Those interested, here are my current stats (this will change in 4 months to 91 runecrafting and 99 magic):
