  1. The title says it all... I just got my first godsword, and I need to know when's best to use it. Particularly, are there high-level slayer creatures I should use it on (I have 85 Slayer, and slay regularly)? Obviously it would be better for monster-hunting at GWD and elsewhere. Should I use it on Bork? Is there anything else that I should use it on?
  2. Thanks for the input. I'll just leave it and go slay for a while, seeing if it comes in... EDIT: Bought the full blade and in process of selling back the other two shards...
  3. I just posted this question on RSOF as I'm also trying to buy this shard there. For some reason it isn't buying. Is it being merched? Also, I can't seem to buy the full blade to go that direction either. HELP? (Paying cash, by the way, if you have and would like to sell...)
  4. Could you give me some advice? After recently acquiring 83 summoning, I'm finding that I actually think I like the Hydra better than the level 83 familiars. Maybe it's just better on some tasks (i.e. the Black Demons I'm slaying)? I also like the fact that it gives Range experience, since I hate training range. Has anyone had similar experience finding it better elsewhere? It's hard to ignore how cheap a Dagannoth pouch is, though... I'm curious to know what level 83-84 summoners use, or what you used when you were that level and why. Thanks in advance.
  5. Are there vids of this somewhere?
  6. The Zammy Spear is my new favorite weapon, as I use it at Waterfiends and Aquanites often. I'll have to think about trying it on Gargoyles... Any other good Slayer tasks that should be crushed/stabbed, I wonder?
  7. lol your kidding right? there is no difference if your training the combat skill seperately or all at once. you DONT save time, no you even waste it... Its PROVEN that whip + defender/whip + dfs/whip + wooden-shield IS better than SS, thats because ss has the same stats and speeds like whip. I know people who have alot of spare money prefer it because its sooo fancy and expensive.. the xp lost is a rumor, i dont think its true. And i cant understand those peoples training def 99, with att/str 70, it WILL take longer then training on controlled.. (at least go for 90+ man) The only reason why most of the scapers prefer training their combat levels seperately is because their greedy for shiny levels and 99s, i can understand this though, who doesnt want it, but training seperately is NOT faster. [/hide] So you don't believe that if you were powertraining on a monster that rarely if at all damaged you, that having your attack & strength higher than your defence would not be a faster method of experience? You could be increasing your accuracy and strength allowing for more experience per hour. You could then move to defence after and be gaining faster experience than you would have if your stats were equal on controlled. I don't think it's too complicated, but depends on what the OP means by "training". This could have substance to it, but only if you are training on a low-level monster with no ability to hit you and no defense. Honestly, though, anything like that drops rubbish and isn't worth killing. Money made killing other things makes up the time you spent getting nothing but levels, and the people getting money won't be that far behind.
  8. Stocking up on helms is what I've heard suggested.
  9. Concerning the edit, you also have to take into account that the person will have hit more often and harder with the defender, though, more than making up for 1 mill exp...
  10. A lot of people know, actually, myself included. (Of course, a bit of time may have passed since the last post.) It yields 10k Slayer experience and 7k Prayer on the first kill. No telling yet on future kills as we have to wait a week. No other drops at all.
  11. ^^ This is what I'd say...
  12. I totally disagree with your first two responders. I'd train whip on controlled all the way. That's what I'm doing now (I didn't at first). The ability to use a defender with the whip makes this the best.
  13. I'd say that sounds like a "no." I'll just kill Bork everyday until he drops it...
  14. This was one of the stated graphical fixes, to match the worn version.
  15. What have you had to kill so far, out of curiosity?
  16. No they just buy it to be cool, like onyx rings few weeks back. They don't even get it imbued??
  17. Does anyone even get high enough in MA to get their rings imbued at that level??
  18. Interestingly, it didn't lose any value on the G.E. today... http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/Amulet_o ... ?obj=15126
  19. Thanks. That's been my experience so far...
  20. How often do you get d boots drops? I've killed around 600 spiritual mages now. I got four drops in my first task of 160 (including my first ever kill being a drop!). Sadly, now I haven't received a single one since... Just wondering...
  21. Go for it! Standing by a runite spawn can be a good place to alch as well...
  22. There's a great guide on this site under Monster Hunting for tackling them through melee.
  23. Because 5% is pretty useless. Why is 5% considered useless? And does the same go for 5%/10% range prayer during tasks?
  24. I'd call it coincidence... or bug.
  25. Yes, you can use a staff of any kind.
