  1. So, besides the xp rewards, are there any new items, areas, monsters, etc. that we should know about?
  2. I don't know how to use them myself yet, but I'm told mouse keys (using your keypad as a mouse) can help, and I believe it's legit. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. I'm slaying them now and seem to be doing fine with just Excalibur. Thanks for all the tips. These are wonderful to kill...
  4. From what I understand, you won't always be able to get money back tricking.
  5. Thanks for both of your replies. You've each got stats that are a bit better than mine, so I would anticipate having a bit more food that I would need. It seems clear that praying is unnecessary, though (unless chinning). I'll probably use a Bunyip instead of combat familiar, since I don't quite have enough charms for 79 Summoning yet. Seems I should bring some alch runes, too, eh? I'm planning to wear my best melee armour and ignore the magic-casting spawns... just correct me if I'm wrong.
  6. I'm about to take on my first Nechy task when I get around to it. I know that they drop crimsons well, so I'm looking forward to it. Quick questions, though: 1. Is it really necessary to pray melee against them? (See stats hidden in my sig, if it helps.) Prayer pots are so pricey currently. 2. Better in Chaos Tunnels with a fighting familiar or should I just go to the Morytania Tower and slay them with the Bunyip? 3. I know they summon Death Spawn... worth killing them or just move on to a new Nechy? I seem to see people doing both. Thanks in advance, and let me know if there's anything else I need to be aware of. -Shep
  7. I have had 4 or 5 dragon drops from irons/steels in slayer tasks (I don't kill them otherwise). A couple weeks ago I let my avatar kill a rock crab that attacked me... it yielded a dragon shield left half! I didn't know they even dropped that!
  8. I've had a dry streak for a while with no good rewards (sick of sharks, lobbies and bows)... It comes and goes, I guess. I also think they often have more steps now, but I have no testing on that.
  9. I can normally get by on a bunyip and excalibur (enhanced), although sometimes I use bones to peaches (the spell, not tabs).
  10. If it takes you to an ore location, is there always ore there or is there sometimes just an empty rock?
  11. It is the only way to get it, so yes. A lesser fally shield could still help, though.
  12. When I used Brimhaven, I found myself waiting quite a bit. So, if you go that way, bring something alchable that you can do in between obstacles.
  13. MEP2, no question for me. I think people who don't rate this highly must've used a guide. It's no fun to try to figure out where to point all that light...
  14. If you're close to the bonus and you really don't want to take them on, just block 'em. I meleed a set of 48 yesterday, though, and your stats are comparable or better than mine. It's not fast, but use the guide on this site and make your own decision about it, I'd say.
  15. Runite takes 14-21ish minutes. 14 for a full world, 21ish for a basically empty one. Speaking from experience, expect the full worlds to be full of people.
  16. I caught five sharks off of two pies...? It's not that bad. You only need five. Again, it's not worth the wait to 76 when you can get the extra free flax. Get the sharks with pies at 71.
  17. Agreed. Put 7.5M into thy kingdom for a solid return, using flax and raw fish. After that, I'm not too sure for long-term stuff, as it will always be changing.
  18. Just go to level 71 and buy admiral pies (it only takes level 76 to catch the sharks, not 77, and those pies give +5). That's what I did. Stick with Shilo until 71, though. If you really want the levels first, go up to 76, but I find the extra free flax I get to be well worth the pies and doing it that way first.
  19. I believe that red sallies are the fastest xp here (correct me if I'm wrong), but I was wondering about hunting grey chins to 80. Would I make enough money to off-set the lower xp? Would starting with red chins now be a possibility, even though xp is not as good as red sallies? Your thoughts are appreciated, especially if you've actually tried these or have a good comparison guide to which you can point me. -Shep
  20. Cutting willows and maples leaves you with junk. That said, I did it for a while so I could use it later.
  21. Thanks so much, Philip! This is good news to me, meaning that I don't have to use it right away.
  22. Maybe nobody will actually know this, but can you tell me how the experience of 4 x 100,000 is gained from the quest reward? Is it in a tome/lamp/object that I don't have to use right away? And if so, can the object be banked and saved until I get a certain skill to level 65? I want to use it for construction to be able to get a gilded altar, but I don't want to wait to finish the quest. I've done all quests except that I haven't done the final fight in While Guthix Sleeps... Thanks in advance.
  23. Barrow's gloves are still the best, but I suppose the new regeneration bracelet might be meaningful for pures who haven't done certain quests. You have to factor in the extra healing that the brace gives you too, I guess, but I think barrow's are still better.
  24. Maybe a monster with real AI? It doesn't have to have infinite hp or demolishing power, just some way to fight back against a thinking human...
  25. I was glad to see the changes made in the rc guild. Run option is nice, too. Firemaking can wait. I'm having too much fun with rcing for now.
