  1. erm thats xmas eve haha, im glad ive finished im gonna be tucked up in bed :
  2. well your problem is you're working too big, stick to something smaller.. are you working to a percific size?? sprite usually have to be. start with pixeling your sprite looking foward, start with a head, make sure it's looking at the right angle. If you're having difficulties break it down in to easy to manage sections of things to do. id recommend spriteart .com , tutorials look for Shuku, he explains it well.. I just did this for ya to if ya wanna use it as step-by-step reference.. edit added a higher angled version..
  3. haha pls dont get angry I made an edit of how I think you could improve this is your serious with finishing it.. :-w with faces it is vital you get the structure of the head right, so it isn't larger on one side than the other, or on one side it droops in some way, a good way to do this by mirroring your linework (if your chracters facing directly forward that is..) You did that, but my concern with the head shape is that its too wide.. It looks like an upside down egg, instead of trying to make a head, think 'where is the jaw?' 'chin?'.. your best looking at yourself in the mirror. My edit probably looks more like me than my avatar in terms of 'face structure'.. I also shaded it in and put my stages together to help ya with shading, but ya probably don't need it. what I was trying to illustrate is how to draw males, yours atm looks like a child, as he's got thin eyebrows, short neck, a small nose and large eyes (compared to its body). I'd define the nose more, thicken his eyebrows, lengthen his neck, and change his body so it makes sense in comparisant his head, He needs much wider shoulders.. but I wouldn't make too drastic changes if your feeling forced to, at most make his head smaller so your characters proportions fit better. But im guessing your going for something more cartoony, if so please find something of what ive mentioned to help  .. gl
  4. any news?? im anxious to hear if everyone has entered their work? (-those who said they wouldn't that is.) .. deadline's tmz right? don't want to have to wait till xmas. :( Just play the game, don't question it guys.

don't jpeg it #-o PNG! or GIF! bridge looks great, not a great deal of reality to this, im assuming its a wip..
  6. Edit, sorry you fixed that in your update.. :wall: looking great.
  7. these are traps. you need a lightsource, just shade it like you would if it wasn't metal but use more dramatic changes in light, more contrast really, add highlights where necissery. just look for many pictures of metal objects, amours etc. And you should be fine.
  8. 10 being??? I think its a bit simple imo, not much time went into it but its what you probably set out to do so I personally don't have any problems with it.. If you want to improve it you probably might want something with a little more creativity involved.
  9. 'hugs all around' : happy xmas guys , we're all supposed to get along.
  10. [img=http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7137/tipitownsez8.gif] you need there should be an option that says loop, or play forever. what ya usin?

  15. I dont think it'd matter named or not, are the judges supposed to not know who's is whos?? other than Med that is.. :-k ahh well..
  16. knowing people use photoshop to pixel is always so worrying because people just can't help making the most of the program .. Really that shading doesn't look nice at all, you might as well of gradiant-shaded.. Pixel art was initially used in computer games making art with limited colours, you've just boosted your pixel piece to 400+ colours.. its so horrible I almost fainted. :uhh: your character's improving tho, I agree with xvillexvalox totally, it'll bring some reality to this.
  17. I put my name on it.. :anxious: if its supposed to be name-less just ask (judges) and ill reemove it. thx beesafree. :D and who is 'secret' on the brackets?? oooh :ohnoes:

  21. vector is a little different to pixel art abhinav, vector is mathmatically created so it can be changed to anysize without any loss of quality.. try resizing something made in Paint, it just blurrs.
