  1. Ive seen quick animations from GS using some animation program a while back and they were awesome, I swear he posted stuff somewhere.. oh damn im going off topic again, back to the piece. Loving your colour selections, the grass could look better with darker tones to compliment the trees, and maybe some transition to the dirt? Road maybe seems too dark?
  2. did you know that beef pringles doesn't actually contain beef, but apparently the cheese and onion contains beef exctracts :o .. Madness! I eat for flavour, lettuce tastes of leaves to me.
  3. trying excessively hard to be good at something to please others is nerdish, being naturally good isn't I suppose, I got straight A's in my GCSE exams leaving high school, and I didnt revise or anything.. I just thought it was too easy.. Ive only ever espired to art, so you could say im a nerd at that, but im a horrible student, very cheeky and I never listened in class, just doodlin or somethin.
  4. I just found out recently that Smellysocks lives in my area, he's a year younger than me and has applied for the same college course as me, Ive known him on TIF for years. not spoken to im yet cus im always too caught up in my work and he says on msn he's crap round new ppl.
  5. godslayer's ace at animation, he can do it.
  6. terley replied to WeeBoab's topic in Art and Media
with sprites your best making a base body, before adding clothing. It usually makes things a lot easier.. added a hooded cloak to my example sprite : aw and he's looking at the screen too :XD: : aww
  7. terley replied to WeeBoab's topic in Art and Media
choose a lighter backround colour, don't be too harsh with the shading, use it to pick out detail rather than focusing totally on lighsource.. I wouldnt be as harsh as you guys, it is obviously a little hooded character its just certain details that are hard to make out.
  8. aw i tried.. your answers reveal much more about your personality that you may think =P~
  9. kind words jr_striker, kind words.. 8-) off topic.. dya think I'd be able to reach 2007 posts by newyears? haha
  10. the english language is a great thing, you've just got a different view on the word style. I see it as the style of something in particular, something unique shape.. The type of art is a different catagory in my book, whether it be isometric, 3/4 view, platformer, birdseye view they can all have a range of different styles within. sorry godslayer, this is a forum but this is also spam  .
  11. sigh.. colour selections are totally different, jaw is much smaller, shading differs in most places. Its just a case of trying to dublicate a photo of yourself by the magic of sight. geez.. sorry mega.
  12. I believe ya, there's obvious signs of manual work here. ok some crits would be to clean the linework up a bit, one nostril is wider than the other.. Maybe define the nose more. His mouth maybe needs softening more, highlights on his lips? Just really needs cleaning up more, it looks messy imo which probably gives the impression of a randomised effect being used to get to this. Keep it up Mega. edit, stop spamming guys, do you really have to try and prove him wrong?? Just crit or dont post.
  13. looks like a photo's been colour-reduced to me, there's no style to this. Its very interesting though.
  14. doing the same angle isn't considered a style. I mean Godslayers 'art style' .. If eckered does something similar it'll be in eckered's style, the idea may be inspired from Godslayer but the artwork is different and will be something intirely new, If the style then looks just like Godslayers he's not doing himself any favours as at the end of the day as an artist you want to be an individual, not just a replica.. I don't think what I said was that confusing Despaxes.
  15. well now nudity isn't allowed on these forums cool4life, discussing the anatomy of the character, shading, offering any suggestions is ok.. thats ott.
  16. well you have to be mature enough to judge it as art, not quiver at the sight of a female character. Its not nudity, grow some balls guys (sorry for the expression.) I think its great still, you've captured the beauty and your dedication to this shines. there have been some useful comments here though dont get me wrong..
  17. theres honestly not that much but if you were to work on the object as it is, I'd try get a wood texture on it, try shading it. Decent linework.
  18. one godslayer is enough thank you : . dont copy his style, work on your own and observe others to improve yourself in whatever way you can.
  19. lol you never know..
  20. I suppose if some peope just miss the deadline, you could somehow work out a way to re-order who's against who.. ??
  21. well I could collab on a pixel, or solely make a pixel character or object to be used in other digital art medias. :
  22. id play this instead of runescape if I had the chance. merry christmas godslayer, you ol' dog you. im guessing your not working in tiles looking through your progress, I personally think working with tiles is loads of fun and breaks it down into easy to do chunks.. looks like a great interpretation of runescape all the same. :
  23. I think it's just collab, it is possible to collab other things... omg that would be amazing :o a big collab with mix of brushed areas, pixel only areas, and a range of all types of digital art :XD: .. oh it'd be such a pain to organise.. :| I'd do a collab with someone, make pixel characters for renders maybe, I even do other types of illustration, im no one trick pony.
  24. your problem is you dont have enough frames for the his movements to be animated in but saying that you don't need many if you know what to draw in those frames. this guy's walking animation may help you, cus its done in 4 frames.. edit by sonic_reaper of dyuaru's original sprite blocked out the rude area your character's artwork needs improving itself before you animate it though, or is this just a personal project? you cant make it look like its walking unless the thing looks able to walk.
