(and im not deducing this theory from his past work, I have actually seen him post this on another forum, it's just easier to post this earlier rather than later, it's discracful seeing people taking credit for other peoples work.)

8/10 really good stuff godslayer, it's nice to see a 'signature' from you. I know backgrounds have always been your worst enemy so apart from that you've done well, I think the background simplicity even just helps draw your eyes to the character, if thats what you were trying to do.. {reddawn509's first reaction) His face is really cool, could work on the hands tho.

It's nice to see such a detailed image of an eagle, I really like it tttia.. I think you should try computerpaint (?) an object you can get on the desk along side ya, like an apple or a figurette..?

oh cool, glad u like it at least.. Im just worried about them looking like who they're supposed to be. Well I tried to add some of my own style into it instead of just lets say trying to duplicate a photo of one of them.. I used several references.

A bit too much tweening going on there, but yea its fun to watch. Id like to see you make a proppa cartoon. You can draw, so I don't think it'd be out of your abilities to simply draw a storyboard, start with a comic first if you want and simply toggle with the camera angles you want and sort out your timing and its simply a case of transfering each frame to flash, record some sound and speech if you need and bit by bit animate each part of each storyboard frame.. It's a bit fustrating seeing people just using the program to do the animating for you, I stopped doing that a while back you don't need to be too detailed or, amazing at animating.. Like any art form, you'll improve. And please steer clear of stickmen animations.. they're ok for practicing the way a human moves but aren't so good for viewing purposes.. I'll watch some of your other stuff too now, I like your humour. ~Ter :D

Theres no need to blame me for some stange problem you have with posting here on TIF, thats a really childish thing to say.. try not to think so literally with images, its seems your thinking... 'ok, first theres ground, colour it in brown..' 'now a guy hanging from a tree to add some excitement..' 'oh it looks a bit empty, better add a rock' 'ohh good stuff, better post my progress.' ..Seriously think of dimensions, focal points, detailing and effective colouring... all around what you want to achieve from this piece. With first glance your eyes don't get drawn to the image, nothing stands out.. you won't get anywhere without any initial drawing skills, you've obviously just drawn straight onto the computer with no thought of positioning or how you want it to finally look.. you can't draw cartoons unless you know how to draw people.. *useless fact* The first sucessful character by Walt Disney was Mickey Mouse, but was actually originally at the time just a characature of a black man who tried to wear white make-up to fit in to a white society (nothin at-all contriversial, but gave Walter Design the idea for his first character).. He was a fisherman, so Steamboat willie, was intended to be a racist statement, the character evolved into a mouse because of the exagerated features.. The point of this is to show, cartoons originally start out from observations of things around us, not just inspirations of other peoples work, though it does help expand on what you currently know.. I seriously recommend looking at people around you, without knowing how people place themselves, you'll always just draw literally, flat, head on characters with half atempts at proportions. Another main flaw is backgrounds, look at reference pictures to help you see what you could draw into the background to make it more interesting piece, learn about perspective.. http://www.scottmcdaniel.net/drawing/perspective/perspective.html

I think it's more of a need for compliments, just posting work to hear.. 'omgz 10/10 u rock!' confindence boost maybe? its not a bad thing but sometimes those 'other people' are really big headed, they've got nothing better to do, you can forget why you started pixeling.. I find it helps visitin good ol' TIF to hear from old friends, and show some new work to say 'hey im still here, and im ok :D'.. nice little guy, looks like he's gotta beak tho :P .. you should try out your new animating skills and fully pixelate em frame by frame..

why is everything remotely close to the style Godslayer uses immediately, a GS-esque image..? :? .. Seriously, this is like the 6th time I've heard this comment, it's just daysha-voo.. Godslayers great and all but.. There are millions of artists out there, is it a co-insidence that anything slightly abstract using limited colours fits in the catagory of the one artist? Search Frank Miller, Aperson. creator of Sin City, his work is on the lines of the style your trying to portray.. Sorry if ur offended GS mate, but im seriously thinking that in a few weeks we'll have 20+ GS's on our hands. You must agree there's much more to explore when it comes to art. ~Ter

Not re-doing, cant be bothered, got crits from tutors and it's finally come to this, the information is crutial, If I had it my way I wouldn't have so much text on it.. :cry: :wink: its gonna be A3, that text at the bottom that you can't read is clear as day printed out. Just distorted through resizing.. thx for comments. :D
