The HIGH Road
Cough cough cough... cough cough... cough cough cough cough. Found something funny. The California Beer and Beverage Distributors are trying to block the pot initiative. Here is the most biased source I could find. The Beer guys say that legalized pot will make drug tests for their truck drivers impossible. Is this a legitimate concern or are they bull-[cabbage]ting us? Don't forget to bring a towel!

Scientology? Scam? Cult? Religion? Joke?
Is that true or very clever advertising? If its true I may go and buy some things I will never use. I searched for the names, and yes, he did file a lawsuit. That was a few years ago, I don't know the outcome of it. But it does mean that Headset Vince did, in fact, sue scientology.

Nowai. Scimmy on stab is like g2h on slash. You don't do it. Until you have it down, stay in fixed window mode. Hotkeys are f1 and f5, f1 shows inventory, f5 shows attack styles. In one fluid motion, equip G2H, then press f5, then click crush, then attack your opponent, and press f1 (back to inventory). If you hit an f-key twice, your menu will close (not good!). It takes some practice, but when you have it down it can be very effective. Make sure you do the same when you go back to your other weapon (scimitar or bow). By the way, I've accidentally gained a defense level from not switching back.

I'm not the best pker in rs, but I won't PK without one now. That being said, I've already lost 5 gravite weapons... Hurray lag! I would be a bit more angry about it, except I've gained in excess of 30m from loots (considering each kill averages about 200k, that's alot  ) 6m per gravite weapon, and a whole lot of fun killing peeps? Count me in for number 6. Do you normally risk a gravite rapier or long along with a 2h? also I saw you yesterday :) First two times yes, but found that I didn't need the rapier to get as good results. Also didn't like risking 80k tokens in one go, so the 2h is my limit. I'll be getting another soon.

So, what is your current project(s)
Working on a planetary / physics thingy in Javascript. I've got quite a few kinks to work out (collision handling and stuff), but it looks cool. If I get comfortable with it, I'll post it sometime.

Whatever. Just don't go shooting up the Discovery Channel Headquarters because of distorted views on life and morality. Haha, "distorted" and "views on life" don't mix. All views are equally distorted. :) How about mainstream versus fringe?

Whatever. Just don't go shooting up the Discovery Channel Headquarters because of distorted views on life and morality. What makes my views on morality and life distorted? You've done nothing to back up that claim but with assertions. My views could be distorted, but you've yet to state why. Why would it be more moral to accept that all humans should die rather than preserving the species through the active killing of part of it? My way some live, your way all die. That's not to say that I believe that the reason killing of a fully sentient being is wrong is because we're trying to preserve our species, but that would be the view I'd take if it were what I believed. Some living would be preferable to all dying, and I can't see how it'd be more moral to give the entire species a death sentence due to some perverse view that human life is more special "just because." Humans are special because we're able to have this discussion. Not that everyone participates in it, but take two specimens from our species, cross them, and given the appropriate background they can chime right in. You can't say that about any other species. Anyhow, there's nothing to suggest that all of humanity is going to die out because there are too many of us. Sure, the population may be limited at some point, but at least it will be naturally and not artificially - and when it happens we'll know the limit, and we won't have to guess the magic number.

Your View on the American Revolution?
With the exception of Which hadn't actually happened yet. So they were 29 for 30 in the Declaration of Independence... big deal :shades: And it wasn't just taxes they were pissed off about. Taxes are no reason to "mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." Otherwise, you'd see the current Tea Party trying to sack Washington D.C., in the most literal of ways.

Abortion
Vegetarians eat plants... the filthy murderers. The term used by those who support abortion is an untruth: they are pro-abortion because its the only side they're pushing. Take a look at the pregnancy thread, and county how many replies are "You should get an abortion." Ask how many of those individuals would label themselves as pro-choice. So basic thought makes a human? That's an opinion or a belief, just like the religion you mock. What makes up a human being, to the least common denominator is a complete set of genetic material and the ability to develop. A sperm cell or egg doesn't fulfill this basic requirement, it only has half a set of genetic material. Same with a skin cell or liver cell - they can't divide, multiply and develop into a completely new organism. The only distinguishable point in a person's life between when they were and when they weren't is at fertilization. That isn't religion, its science. These are awful reasons that led to Nazi policies... EDIT: also, on the OP You need to take this out of the original post. These documented incidents of "pro-lifers" causing violence towards abortionists are few and far between. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this has only happened twice in the past 20 years (May of 2009, murder of Tiller; July of 1994, murder of Britton). Contrast that with the 1,251 documented homicides of pro-abortionists. (summary here: http://www.abortionviolence.com/, more in depth stuffs here http://abortionviolence.com/0.HTM)

Your View on the American Revolution?
They did a pretty good job documenting their grievances. The founding fathers were very principled, you should read some of their original works.

Oh Goody, we can murder all those things too then. Now I recall you mentioning baby seals earlier in the topic, are you available at any time for that? When I tell people I club them to death I get so many dodgy looks, it's such a relief to finally meet a kindred spirit. Count me in.

A glass of red wine every day has time and time again shown to have numerous health benefits. A joint every day will destroy your lungs. It's also illegal to be intoxicated. A few beers won't make an average person intoxicated, the same cannot be said for one joint. And before you go comparing m.j. to tobacco - tobacco is becoming much more regulated and much more taxed. Fewer and fewer (public) places you're allowed to enjoy a smoke. With the passage of the universal health care bill, expect its legality to get hammered in the next couple decades (the tobacco lobby is strong enough that it won't outright be banned).

Getting old... :(
Back in my day, when there were 9 planets, there were still pay phones, gas cost (99 cents - 3 dollars, take your pick) per gallon, and people still bought books... I'm mentally compiling a list. Turned 21 this summer. The next age I have to look forward to is 25, because my car insurance rate should drop then. After that, booooooo

Abortion
You're missing the basic point. Because we're pro-life, we're not allowed to eat, breathe, or drink because it harms other organisms. Anyone who's not pro-life isn't held to the same standard, because they're not pro-life. Sheesh, wish you all would understand that. Also on the subject of protecting "potential" life - many coastal states have ordinances against disturbing sea-turtle nests. Some places fine as much as $1000 for potentially disrupting nesting grounds (like, fines for lights on after dark because it might disturb the turtles). Remember, baby turtles are more valuable than baby humans.

Abortion
Except it isn't whether or not, it's when. Here's a hypothetical situation (not sure if its ever occurred or not, but the way the law is written... well you never know) - A woman 6 months pregnant gets in a car to drive to a clinic to procure an abortion. Nothing eventful happens, and she returns home not pregnant. No laws were broken, nothing to report. Same story, but with a twist. That same woman gets in a car to drive to a clinic. On her way to the clinic, another driver runs the light, and hits her car. On the way to the hospital, the woman has a miscarriage. The woman is fine otherwise. The driver is charged with reckless homicide because they killed the preborn (who, by the way, was scheduled to die anyway). Instead of getting a six months, the driver gets 60 years in prison. Good fight, law.

Magical Blastbox, not as useless as once thought.
Base damage: 160 +15% from staff + neck: 184 +9% from mind bomb: 200.56 +25% (bonus hit): 200.56 + 50.14 So, erm, ko power? Yea, if you wanna risk 20 hours of work (3 mills worth if you have hilariously bad ways of making money) for something thats still worse in KO potential than a rune 2h. How many dungeoneering tokens is that? 95k? You should probably compare apples to apples then... Even if you are hitting 250 max, you're either going to have no defense and a high mage bonus, or high defense and no mage bonus. Not that your defense matters. Some punk with a Gravite 2H risking a measly 40k dungeoneering tokens will hit up to 366 at the same rate, and will hit far more accurately than you will. In fact, these items make F2P mage relatively weaker. Before, people knew they maxed at 160 and would eat accordingly. They also knew that if they were taking heavy damage they could lessen the blows by taking their armour off. Couple these things with a finishing weapon and you have an easy KO (one that worked ~25% of the time). Even if you didn't get the KO, they'd find themselves in a precarious position. Either they have armour on and they burn through their food, or armour off and they burn through their food. It's a step in the right direction, but its too little too late. Practically the only thing that can save F2P pvp magic now is a whole new set of spells, and weapons and armour.

The poltergeist puzzle. Needs herblore and thieving, so F2P can't clear it. And since we're on the subject of dungeoneering, there's this myth going on about the monolith room that the lower your magic level when you activate it, the lower leveled the shades are. Frankly, I think that is complete nonsense and that the shade's levels are randomized to an extent. I don't know about that, but every time you bail out the next activation becomes easier. Bailed three times once, and the fourth try only 3 shades spawned the entire time.
