  1. Its actually called "Enhanced Excalibur," and you can get it after completing seers achievement diary completely. On Topic...:
  2. I'd say master farmers until 58 or so, then switch to Ardy knights, the xp is a bit faster and you dont fail much more than you do on farmers (at least by my experience). ;)
  3. You can buy the mahogany flatpack, and just use it on the hotspot. You DO NOT need any construction level to put it in. And... Did you check if for some reason they're already in there? :? It has happened to me before when upgrading...
  4. Yeah, they have more money therefore they can afford I spend it on more expensive stuff even if it isn't as good as other, cheaper, items. Honestly, I do own a DFS, but its not because I have money to bust... I've done tests on multiple slayer monsters, and I get more kills with the same amount of food than I do with a rune defender, but I will admit, the tasks end up being a little longer, which I've learned to deal with ;) . Plus, since I use dragon armor, barrows costs don't offset my gains. (please don't start a flame war  )
  5. Generally speaking, the rune defender beats d sq because it gives an attack and str bonus, making you hit more often and harder. The d sq would only be useful if you're fighting stronger monsters that deal large amounts of damage, otherwise, the defender wins. 8-)
  6. I'd say use a rune defender or DFS, depending whether or not you can afford the DFS and whether you value offense over defence... Other than these two, there's nothing else other than the allmighty spirit shields that are worth using (but theyre a tad bit expensive, no? )
  7. You can upgrade your standard one at lumbridge chapel. If you've done the Giant Dwarf quest, you can get better ones that will hold your stuff up to 5 mins and costs 500k. here's the page from rs manual with all the info you need : : http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=563
  8. Being a quest cape owner I will be biased... :P I say the quest cape is better than those skills that you just do countless clicking just to reach 99 (firemaking, fletching, cooking, etc. you get the point). Otherwise, skills such as, well, I dont know, combat capes or SLAYER for instance, are a slap in the face to the quest cape
  9. Wow, one of the best articles I've read so far here  The Curse of Probablistic Knowledge and The Joy of Quest were the best of them all
  10. Hmm, what I want.... I'd say 99 attack at least, also at least 90 def and 85 slayer
  11. Slayer Skill guide under "Smoking Kills" section "After completing the Smoking Kills quest a new slayer master, Sumona, becomes available. To get assignments from her you need a slayer level of 35 and a combat level of 85. She assigns tasks at a difficulty level in between Chaeldar and Durodel." Should be spelled "Duradel" [Ddraiggoch06 Edit: Fixed, cheers]
  12. I do clues every time I get them (about 2 per slayer task). They're a great way to not get bored and ditch training slayer :P . The best reward I've gotten was 2 Rune (g) kites and an enchanted robe top, totaling to around 1.2-1.3m at the time. Other than that, my rewards have been horrible lol. Although the good rewards are rare and sometimes not worth going through 100+ clues to get, I do think that they are worthwhile, because hey, who knows, maybe the one you're about to drop is holding a third age melee plate or kite :P
  13. +1 @Ray: If you even want to try arguing with Campbell, at least try being logical and make your posts not sound like an angry person trying to win a fight... Back on topic... If you are going to be using MSB with steel arrows, I would say yaks since you don't really need great range gear to train there, and the xp is very, very good.
  14. As others have said, get mage to 85 and use teleblock and entangle. And you should also think... Who enjoys dying and losing their stuff? Nobody Who has "honor" anymore? RS is a GAME, honor would be near impossible to find...

    +1 Can't be made any clearer :
  16. I use protect from melee/range/mage when I'm out of food and am on a slayer task. Recharging isn't an issue since I use house teletabs which take me to my nice little altar :
  17. +1 The easiest way to avoid them is to use d-hide armor and protect from range... Once you do that, they are almost completely harmless since they can't even freeze you in place (ranged attack). Revenants are a complete joke as a threat when it comes to mid-high level players.
  18. From the KB: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=808 After Spirit of Summer/Summer's End Has anyone found these or know anything about them? :?
  19. According to the KB: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=663 The magic attack bonus is a +26, not a +29 as in the Item DB: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=7414 The defensive bonuses are correct.
  20. I believe the reason for that is since the Slayer's Respite is not really helpful during a task, considering the slayer masters will only assign tasks that you can kill with your current slayer level. Its only real use is if you want to kill a few monsters that require higher level slayer than you have. So basically, since its not useful while training slayer, it's not really a Slayer aid. This is my opinion, don't take it as an official response, but it does seem to make sense... ;)
  21. Not anymore. I now just save any extra food for the next task ;) I used to do it, but then I would ask myself: What if I killed two more?. You see the vicious cycle? :P
  22. No way they can do this... it would be the end of all future quests. They will probably end ONE of the many series they have going, and maybe start a new one soon thereafter. ;) Plus, even if they end all of the current ones going, it is highly unlikely since not that many players have most quests completed ;)
  23. From my personal experience, wearing good melee defence armor and using Protect from Magic works much better. I have 80 def and 89 hp. When using protect from melee (wearing Karil's top and skirt = Mage def +119) I take about half health damage before killing the mage, but when I use protect from magic (wearing Torag's body and legs = Stab+316, Slash+312, Crush+302) I take about 1/4 health damage, although I do need one dose of antipoison during the fight. The rest of my equipment would be: Helm of Neitiznot, Amulet of Glory, Dragon boots, Abyssal Whip, Ring of wealth, Barrows Gloves, Legend's Cape, and Obsidian Shield (Toktz-ket-xil) where the only negative magic bonus comes from the boots. Just wanted to suggest this because I think for those with higher defence, it would be annoying to spend more on using lets say 2 sharks (about 1.8k worth) instead of one shark and one dose of antipoison (<1k worth). IMO, every bit counts in the long run ;) Just an idea :) If it's not worth adding, no problem, but it may be helpful to some people. : PS: sorry for no screenshots  I don't think I'll be able to get any since I don't have a clue atm and will be mining gold for a while #-o
  24. I'm using it simply because I was able to choose what's on it  Its very nice
  25. I love it!! Ty so much tip.it! I was getting bored of the having to settle for other site's provided poses. I made my own with my new DFS \
