How do you mean lack of obliteration? Servers? I wish Dice would stop throwing stupid gimmicks into DLCs which do nothing for the game in the long term. Stuff like scavenger and air superiority, yes they are fun when the DLCs first come out but after two weeks I won't touch them again. I would prefer improvements to existing game modes or more efforts into the maps. Obliteration is an example of a well thought out game mode with longevity, more of than would be great. The bomber is another stupid gimmick, it sucks and you can't even control it. They never should have made it, its pointless. Stupid gimmicks? Like what? Scavenger and air superiority are great. I think it was Battlefield 1942, my friend and I would play that for HOURS. It was great. I'd like to play them again, too bad I'm not playing BF4 atm. (Not because the game is 'unplayable' but because I'm playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist) Improvements to existing game modes? What are they supposed to do? You can't just add more destructible, map changing things (like the tower falling in siege of shanghai)... I haven't played it yet but this bomber doesn't do anything? It just flies over the map or something? Maybe the commander controls it? Basically you get into a control vehicle, and a bomber spawns above, and you get to control one of the guns. If you're lucky, you can get a reload for two salvos before the bomber despawns. They really should've just called it a gun-run. That, or just pulled a call of duty and have like three bombers fly over the map and ACTUALLY DROP BOMBS in lines. Each bomb could've caused craters/destroyed forests/caused cave-ins... but nooooo, that'd actually be cool.

I think the tutorials need to be worked on. I was so confused when I first started, since they didn't explain how to do stuff very well, or what everything was for (pixels, how to cook, etc).

Did you really expect anything different? BF4 has kinda been a huge flop...

It'd be nice if they implemented this for online games' chat. If it caught you using nasty language (e.g. "Cod kids yelling racial slurs" etc.), it would mute you for x minutes/invert your controls/some form of punishment after a certain amount of warnings. But using it this way is just a waste.

I saw it after the US vs EU match (which was lame...), and Gamespot has previews of them on their site. Metro doesn't look like it's going to be much different. But I'm actually kinda excited for Oman and *gasp* Caspian Border.

I disagree on the openess, I would say only a few maps fit your description. Rogue Transmission and Golmund Railway both on conquest otherwise I think the others are fine for infantry. Cant decide whether 4 or 3 has the better maps. I thought 3 had incredible maps, not really a bad one apart from Tehran Highway but that was still fun on rush. I am probably leaning towards 3 but I am liking 4's maps more and more. The best thing about BF4 for me has to be obliteration, its just epic. Playing 40 minute rounds on Zavod is incredible, the feeling you get when you have the bomb and get picked up or bypass the whole enemy team with a quad by going on the very side of the map and then planting is exhilarating. Yea I guess you're right, except for Lancang Dam. I don't like that map much (too many mountaineers). Those three maps I'm not a big fan of. I kind of like BF4's maps a bit more I think (but that may be due to playing BF3 on console), although I loved Seine Crossing and Damavand Peak (two maps I'd rather have back than Operation Firestorm and Gulf of Oman).

I got it for PC. A lot of the maps are just too open for infantry play to be fun, unless you want to be a boring sniper the entire round. I've been grinding out guns/unlocks on a 24/7 Locker server, and I looooooooove the PKP Pecheneg, and just unlocked the MG4 as well (which is pretty beastly too). I've almost unlocked everything for the attack boats as well, but I've never actually driven one. Unlike most people on the BF forums, I don't blame DICE too much for the current state that the game is in, I blame EA for giving them an absurd timeline to follow. Also, Floodzone is probably the biggest piece of [cabbage] map I've ever played in my BF career. Seriously, nothing but rooftop campers.

Did you happen to work at Microsoft a month or two ago before jumping ship to a different sinking ship of a company? Becuase by that logic, I guess a ton of people are going to get a PS4 then... Since there are very few people that want to spend an extra $100 for something that they won't ever use. That's why people don't like it being forced onto buyers. And what are these other things that are designed to appeal to me? Being able to watch TV on my TV? Not having enough space on my harddrive to download a game I just bought?

Courage and Honour! Today I got two new Warhammer 40k books. Can't wait to read them, as I ran out quite a while ago.

What's wrong with the cards? I like having something to actually work for, even if it's backgrounds/emoticons. Plus you can just sell them. All told I didn't get as many games as I thought I would. Dishonoured Metro Last Light and 2033 Gta IV + stories. Dust: An Elysian Tale Dungeons of Dredmor Darksiders 2 Just Cause 2 And System Shock 2 (for my dad) Pretty decent. Now to resume building my computer to be able to run Metro LL without lag...

If you liked Diablo 2/3 at all, you'll probably enjoy Van Helsing. It isn't a very long game, but very fun regardless.

May have been due to the underwater aspect of it. I personally haaaaaate being underwater in any game, so I didn't get very far in the first Bioshock. But don't worry, Infinite has something way worse than water to mess with your head.

I bought Just Cause 2 and all of the dlc for it for under $6. What a steeeeeeeeal. Also got Darksiders 2 and it's season pass dlc. I'm really hoping Company of Heroes 2 gets a discount. I swear I preordered it, but it didn't give me the chance to download it... Whatever. Also, gta 4 for $5 heck yessssss.
