  1. My last fortress got massacred by goblins before I could start an army. We need the DF thread back.
  2. Since there haven't been much activity on the forum lately, I thought some of us might like to play some computer games together. I was hoping if we got enough people we could set up tournaments and competitions. This is just an interest check thread, Ill set up another If we get enough people. I forgot to make the poll public, so please post your answers.
  3. No PM for me?
  4. I use rechargables too, they pay off if you have xbox controllers.
  5. What is your price range?
  6. I have a EVGA super-clocked 460 1gb. It's a bit slower than a 465, but it runs cooler and scales better in SLI. I'm getting another for Christmas, and then it shall be crysis maxed detail. @Grim - Quantum stockpiling. You designate one square as a dump, get your dwarves to move all the rocks, and reclaim the land.
  7. You've never had a cheap battery explode in something?
  8. Id avoid dollar store batteries, you don't want your computer being ruined because you wouldn't spit out the extra $4 for a brand name battery.
  9. Don't want to miss out on this. Ill take Florida.
  10. Open command prompt and type in dxdiag, it should show some basic info on your computer, assuming you are using windows.
  11. Was talking to ross, but your post confuses me. You say you have an ATI dual core, except ATI doesn't make CPUs, and then you say you have a no-name CPU. Thou dotht confuseth me.
  12. I haven't got past 50 dwarves yet, but no lag for me. Mega worlds may take longer though. What Video Card did you get?
  13. @ross My Core i7 930 makes DF it's [bleep], I get worlds in under 30 seconds.
  14. New topic, I officially hate Apple for their bastard piece of software called iTunes for windows. You know your media player is a resource hog when it runs slow on 3 week old Core i7 system.
  15. Id love too, but I have way too much going on irl. Most of the time I'm online I'm multitasking homework, tavern and MSN. Maybe in a couple weeks things will have calmed down, but for now I just don't have time.
  16. Exactly ^
  17. Really wish I could play this. If anyone has to go away for a while on vacation or something, Ill be a substitute.
  18. Firefox 4 will be out soon, and it wont even be a fair challenge. I have the beta on my computer now. Its blazing fast and doesn't crash on javascript, I just don't use it because my FF3.6 add ons interfere with it. It's sad how many people still believe the IE is The Internet, and can't comprehend that it's just a program.
  19. DVI - VGA converters come with almost all boxed GPUs. Before you decide on a card, you need to know how many 6+2 pin connectors your PSU has.
  20. Are we talking hide from the average person or hide from the FBI?
  21. Magic makes me :(
  22. I'm with Mather on this one. The world is dying, and we're too politically correct to do anything about it. The new planet is only 20ly away, If we can develop ships that can travel at half the speed of light, setting up a base there is a realistic possibility. Global warming will be good for Canada though, with all the land that will be farmable.
  23. I'm planning a new hegemony style game that could include a lot of people. Time period will likely be early 20th century with an alternate history setup. Ill probably have it up in a week or two, depending on school.
  24. Baconators are the best burgers ever. Or a Mcgangbang, but with wendy's burgers. A&W is good too, especially the root beer.
  25. We have a ninja smiley? Awesome
