  1. You have to go into the preferences and change voice to 'play through speakers'.
  2. Aren't VPNs illegal in china?
  3. How does your internet hold up on speedtest?
  4. I would, but it might just be overkill to break into a bank for a console...
  5. Bored. Got my xbox taken away, so no black ops for me tonight :(
  6. Wasn't a fan of the first one, seemed like a pointless issue to me. Second one was an interesting read though.
  7. 4chan wasn't even down, the main page was offline, but all the boards were functioning. The mods were banning people starting threads about attacking tumblr though.
  8. I've thought about this for a while; what about wearing a heart rate monitor that relays the heart condition to a remote location (I.E. cellphone bomb). Should the heart rate monitor fail to report for 10 seconds, the bombs explode. Once everyone is in the bank and gets the money, they call the police and inform them of their device. They then request permission to move, with the money, to a nearby helicopter pad. There an accomplice will be waiting to fly the con men, and their money to Cuba or another no-extraction country. Then you either cancel the bomb, reveal it was a hoax, or be a real evil person and detonate it anyways. You also need to take a hostage with you so they won't shoot the helicopter down.
  9. Unless you download tonnes of crap, or are mentally slow, regular viruses shouldn't be a problem.
  10. Interesting, wasn't aware you could do that.
  11. I'm still here, just too busy to play any games with set sessions. I would play another hegemony style game though.
  12. AVG is my personal favourite, with resident shield turned off it idles at 5mb. Unless you are doing stupid things, you really only need to scan once a week, you don't need anything running 24/7.
  13. Is your ram Oc'd? Check the BIOS, it may be unstable. There was a chart somewhere, for xfire the cards don't have to be the exact same, just the same series. But for you, getting another 4870 would be a good idea. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121376 - only $129.99
  14. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231190&cm_re=DDR3_4gb-_-20-231-190-_-Product Alternate RAM, as the other is sold out. This stuff is also faster, and a more reliable brand. It is $6 more though. Id also get a Caviar Blue 1tb drive, only $15 more, if you are planning to make videos. If you plan to use Linux, be aware many games won't work with it. I believe RS does though. Anything using DirectX won't run on Linux
  15. Turn off resident shield, and avg idles at around 5mb.
  16. Not necessarily you, but whoever is in charge of the IT department.
  17. Id spend the extra 20 pounds and get a 460 1gb. Otherwise looking good. Although If you are into gaming primarily, getting a higher clocked x3 would give you better performance and save money.

    Internets for you, sir.

Because we've won the war in Afghanistan...
  20. Just check piratebay, there are a couple torrents up.
  21. Hide tags pl0x, I already know more than I need to.
  22. Played scorched earth, it isn't as fun as it looks. I'd be down for AoE 2 though, the .iso is really easy to find in a certain bay of privateers.
  23. Try chrome instead for internet, It runs better on old computers. Other than that, and a different AV, there isn't much you can do software-wise.
  24. FSB isn't the only setting you need to change. I can't recall the others right now, but there are a few settings in the bios that need to be adjusted.
  25. Have you tried phoning dell? I can't think why they would be so slow.
