The quote wasn't even that bad, assuming that's what you're referring to.

BF vs. COD
Which is why I love making fun of this genre of games, and promote the opposite end of the competitive spectrum. Pretty much the only good thing about CoD and BF is how easy it is to troll people. That's rich coming from a fan of fighting games...

I wonder how mvm servers will work. Would they just be hosted locally?

London 2012 Olympics
During the Winter Olympics the Americans used the total medal count while the Canadians used the gold count. It really is whatever makes your country look better.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
Ryan wants to gut medicare and social security, which is a death sentence for Florida. Without Florida, Romney's path to 270 gets really narrow.

Kid gets robbed over RSGP
He did nothing illegal. As much as RWT might annoy you, it isn't a crime.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
I would have chosen Rob Portman were I in Romney's position. Ohio is a must win state for him, and Portman had the traits of not having any conflicting positions and not overshadowing Romney. Ryan will be too conservative for a lot of independents who were leaning Romney because they don't think Obama has done a good job with the economy. I'd say Ryan is appeasing the tea party at the expense of those who may support smaller government but not like the idea of gutting medicare and social security. Obama is going to have a field day with the Ayn Rand stuff too.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/romney-prepares-pick-ryan_649722.html http://washingtonexaminer.com/breaking-mitt-romney-announcing-vp-pick-at-the-uss-wisconsin/article/2504626#.UCXUpZ1lTng\ It looks like Romney will be picking Paul Ryan for his running mate. He seems like a strange pick to me, him being to the right of Romney when Romney needs to appeal to independents.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
This. Getting the dried milk out of cups is a pain in the ass while cleaning dishes and they only have to take them to the sink and wash them out, and they can't even bother to do the first part. >_< Dried milk in cups is the worst. Any sort of creamy salad dressing is terrible too. This is bringing back bad memories of working as a dishwasher.

Looking forward to the women's football semi-finals tomorrow. I'd love to see Canada pull off a win.

My friend is planning on doing a massive uncrating soon. If anyone has some crates they don't want, I'll gladly take them.

CNN: 7 Dead. Up to 30 People hurt; Shooting in a Wisconsin Sikh Temple; Children held as hostages
I'm pretty sure the reason we have these is wildlife, whether for hunting or defense. Semi-automatic guns (e.g. converted AKs) are legal. Overkill for wildlife, imo. Any time someone says something like this it just shows how they have no clue what they are talking about. An AK styled semi automatic rifle is no more dangerous than any other semi automatic rifle, but since they look scary people rush to ban them. In fact an AK or AR 15 actually shoots a smaller round than say a M1 Garand, which is legal even in Canada.

London 2012 Olympics
I enjoyed the ceremony, especially the industrial revolution. The whole house party texting love story was definitely a low point, but the rest was good. I wish CTV / TSN would show more events though. They were replaying the Canada vs. S. Africa soccer game only 2 hours after it finished, and ignoring a bunch of other events just because there were no Canadians competing.

Shooting Massacre at Dark Knight Rises Premiere
I live in Canada, and I could get a hand gun within 48 hours if I really wanted too. Recently a kid in Jr. High was expelled for having a gun at school, and that was in a good neighbourhood. If gun control laws don't work here, there is no way they will make the US any safer.

Laptop Recommendations?
The most expensive one is $50 less than the expensive Asus I listed, and it lists the 680M (better than the Asus), double the RAM, and double the hard drive. There must be a catch, and I'm guessing it's in the word "capable," meaning you have to upgrade it, increasing the price. I haven't heard much about this brand, does anyone have experience with them? After some investigation, I've found they are custom builds and the price does rise significantly. However, it looks like there are some good options in there (internal SSD) so I'll keep playing with it. E: Yep, the prices/performance definitely doesn't match that of the Asus after customizing. I missed the Asus, although looking at the $1449 Sager, the only areas it's weaker in are RAM and HDD space. You can bump the HDD up to 750Gb for an extra $20, and the RAM to 16Gb for $80. I'd argue that 16Gb is unnecessary unless you have a specific need for that much, and would be better spent on an SSD though. Either way, both are nice laptops. Personally I'd go with the Sager because of the chiclet keyboard on the Asus looks like it would be a pain to use.

Laptop Recommendations?
I'd get a Sager. They're very nice laptops, and don't come with the bloatware that Dell, Acer, HP, etc. preinstall. http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=category_browse&selected_cat=2 The $979 one has a 650M, which will preform a lot better than the Acer you posted, while the $1049 one has a 2Gb 660M which will run almost every game out today on high. They both come with free shipping to the US too.
