  1. And use keyboard and mouse while lounging on the couch? Lol. If you're going to say "but PC games can use 360/PS3 controllers", don't bother. That's like playing handicapped against other keyboard/mouse users. HDTVs are also not meant to be used as PC monitors. They have different features meant for TV/movies that makes them terrible for PC gaming. Ever wonder why a 40" monitor is about 3-5x as expensive as 40" TVs? They're no more terrible for PC gaming than they are for console gaming. There is nothing special about a console output that makes it look better on a TV. You can even hook your PC up to a monitor and a HDTV at the same time. You could even have them in different rooms if you wanted (Although I believe HDMI is limited to 25 feet). It's probably doable for under $400, not including the Windows license. I'll reserve judgement on the new gen of consoles until we get real information on the specs of them, but I won't be shocked if they aren't that powerful, seeing as all the industry seems interested in right now is motion control gimmicks.
  2. The only reason to get a console is because all your friends have one, or you want console exclusives. The PC is superior for everything else hands down. Graphics? PC all the way. Even your $500 budget gaming computer is going to put out better graphics than a console. Socializing? PC. With Skype/Teamspeak/etc. you can do everything xbox parties can do, without the 8 person limits. On PS3 you can't even chat between games. Controls? Not only do Xbox controllers work with PC, so do countless 3rd party ones. Plus once you get used to Keyboard + Mouse, you'll probably find you like it more. Cost? PC. You already spend likely $500+ every time you buy a new computer. For only $300 more you can have a killer gaming PC that also does everything your regular computer would do, but better. Not even mentioning the giant savings on the cost of games thanks to Steam and piracy if you roll that way. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from plugging your PC into your HDTV.
  3. I owe you a super late gratz on 99 Mining. I can't even imagine getting it with members. If Imageshack is giving you trouble, try imgur.com. I found it a lot easier to use, and they don't randomly delete my images like Imageshack did.
  4. Jagex has never really been a strong company. Andrew made a great game that took off and was managed well till he resigned. But as a company, everything aside from Runescape they have done has failed miserably.
  5. Runescape's ability to overtake my life every summer.

It's my understanding that a large spectrum could be freed up by stopping TV channels from broadcasting in analogue.

I hope funnyjunk gets destroyed. They are just a half step up from 9gag in unfunniness and content stealing. I would say it's a little bit hypocritical of sites like Reddit to get so angered by funnyjunk users posting content from other sites though, seeing as that's what they wanted to protect by stopping SOPA.
  8. Mini update: I couldn't sleep last night, and got a little carried away with runespan. Did some thieving too, and hit 300 total.
  9. Been too lazy to update, so this one will cover the last 3 days. I got 200 total: And did a bunch of quests: I also trained Woodcutting, Firemaking and Fletching. I think I'm going to try for 10 base over the next couple days, but I'm not sure if I should span RC, or train it normally. Construction isn't going to be cheap either, but I guess I need something to spend my gold on. Here are my stats as of this post Oh, and here is my gear.
  10. Started the day off with some infuriating hunter training, chopping logs and fletching them into arrow shafts while I waited for the stupid birds to get caught in my snare. Got my first legit level 10 in woodcutting. Then I went and geared up, getting full steel and a steel scimitar from the various shops around Runescape. After doing a minotaur slayer task, which is still painfully slow to level even at the beginning, I went and did a few Dungeoneering floors, and skilled a bit in the dungeons. My stats as of log out; I might play a bit more tonight. Today was the last day of school and my exams aren't till Tuesday. Just one more year to go!
  11. Just finished off the first day at a nice even 100 total. Got all the tutorial tasks done, which gave me a healthy 27k that I really have no use for now. First stat screenshot: I'd appreciate if you clicked my runetrack sig, I still need 9 more IPs to view it: Good idea. I've seen most of the newer ones, but I don't think I watched the first couple seasons.
  12. Reserved for fun stuff. Feel free to post
  13. Getting 99 firemaking on my main got boring, so I decided to make a DIY to break up the grind. I can't remember the exact rules, but I won't: - Trade other players (Except for Hero's or Shield) - Use the GE - Assist or accept others assists - Participate in any multi-player minigames like stealing creation - Pk (I might still use the wildy, but I'll make every effort to avoid others,) - Intentionally pick up drops that aren't mine (Unless someone drops a discontinued item) - Do anything but solo Dungeoneering Runetracker [spoiler=Goals] 300 400 Total 10 base 20 combat 30 45 woodcutting 20 30 Fletching 15 Farming 20 Mining 20 Smithing 20 quest points [spoiler= Acheivments] 6/14/2012 - 6/16/2012 - 6/18/2012 - And as I did last summer, I plan to watch a lot of TV shows while playing. Suggestions are welcome. [spoiler=Shows I'm Watching] Big Bang Theory s5 Firefly s1 Game of Thrones s1 How I Met Your Mother s1
  14. I just hope they drop a bot nuke after this. I'm buying dragon bones in speculation. Meh, this doesn't really bother me if they're only doing it for f2p players, who only get 1 spin a day.
  15. Pretty much everytime I play cod. Cod 4 and MW2 I can handle, but BlOps and MW3 have so many bullshit moments that happen in multiplayer that I can't play more than a few matches at once without ragequitting. In Lost and the Damned they made it so you can restart missions without all the driving parts. Best decision ever imo.

  17. Hell:rolleyes: F:unsure:rum Games. This game :shades:f yours is indeed very interesting. I w:angry:nder wh:-? will end up winning? The next post must include a picture of a yawning kitten.
  18. You can stop the back/forward buttons from merging by placing another icon between them. I put home and favourites on opposite sides of the address bar, and the back/forward and refresh buttons became stand alone buttons again. Microsoft Security Essentials is probably better than Norton, even though you paid for it. I recommend having Malwarebytes installed to do the occasional scan with, it can sometimes pick up things other AVs can't.
  19. When I put a drink in the freezer to cool down for too long. There seems to be a very small window of time when the drink is nice and cold, between warm and ice chunk.

  22. Thanks for the advice. Emerald rings look pretty good. Do they actually sell for mid on the GE though?
  23. What are the best cheap methods to train crafting that still have a decent xp rate? I currently am lv.46 crafting.

Meh we've known about it for ages and it does save money, considering they'll each cost $15. Games shouldn't cost $120+ to get all the content. This. DLC is the worst thing to happen to games. Now they feel like they can leave out content "for the future". It was better when you got all the content by actually playing the game. I really liked what they did with BFBC2, but the map pack style of DLC is awful. I miss the days of expansion packs when you genuinely got a lot of new content for a game that did extend it's life.
