  1. Favourite genre: Power metal Favourite band: Dark Moor Least favourite genre: Rave music You obviously don't know what you're talking about.
  2. Death metal inspired me to eviscerate people. Well, maybe not, but it inspired me to write (gruesome) lyrics, and a few of my favourite bands inspired me to learn guitar.
  3. Can't be bothered searching for pictures: Hammerfall - Crimson Thunder Pagan's Mind - Infinity Divine Rhapsody (of Fire) - Triumph or Agony
  4. They don't match the theme of apocalypse (apart from The Final Countdown), but I'd probably listen to these songs: Dark Moor - "In the Heart of Stone" Norther - "The Final Countdown" (Europe cover) Rhapsody - "Flames of Revenge"
  5. Wow. I don't like them, but just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad. Everyone has their own taste/preference when it comes to music.
  6. I'll probably be getting a Jackson Warrior WRXT X (I'm leaning towards a black paint job, though):
  7. Power Quest - "Temple of Fire"
  8. Dark Moor - "Before the Duel" I can't get enough of that riff.
  9. I'm not much of a fan, but they're undeniably a very good band. My favourite track of theirs is "Map of the Problematique"; it's really atmospheric and the intro is very powerful.
  10. Power Quest - "Far Away"
  11. Trans-Siberian Orchestra - "A Last Illusion" Very well crafted music.
  12. 1) Dark Moor 2) Skyfire 3) Nile 4) Sonata Arctica 5) Summoning Dark Moor are almost as amazing as Rhapsody. I can't believe I hadn't discovered them until this time.
  13. Dark Moor - "A New World"
  14. "A7X used 2 be good when they were a death metal band, but they became metalcore and suck now." He also thought Slipknot and Korn were death metal, too...
  15. Sonata Arctica - "Peacemaker" Amazing song. The structure is almost perfection and the guitar solo is possibly the best I've ever heard.
  16. I've designed the character to roughly resemble my real life image - his hair colour, expression and colour(s) of clothing are very accurate. :P
  17. I've never been to any gigs and I doubt I'll get an opportunity anytime soon. Nonetheless, I'd love to see Necrophagist or Dark Tranquillity... or have seen Death...
  18. Never compare garbage to Queen. Amen to that. I'm not much of a Queen fan myself, but I must admit they were exceptional musicians. I dislike MCR because their music is stressingly uncreative, and their lyrical themes are absurd. It's almost as if their horrible music can leech and deplete your energy... And to those of you saying MCR are an emo band, please listen to some bands within the actual genre.
  19. Favourite names: 1349 Avantasia Behemoth Deicide (the perfect name to match their [anti] religious lyrical themes) Ensiferum Morbid Angel Muse Nile Obituary Rhapsody Least favourite names: 30 Seconds to Mars After Forever Anal C*nt Angels and Airwaves Death (amazing musicians, though) Dragonforce Fall Out Boy Fightstar Limp Bizkit Nightwish Panic! At the Disco Sum 41 The Sex Pistols I could compile a list of at least two hundred bands if I wanted to; there are so many unoriginal band names floating around these days.
  20. Kansas - "Carry on my Wayward Son" Love playing this song on guitar, though sadly I discovered it by scrolling through a Guitar Hero song list...
  21. Rhapsody of Fire - "Silent Dream"
  22. Well, I admit I was biased. I just think rap lacks possession of many attributes prior to the term "music".
  23. Yet another person who has no clue what they are talking about in general. I was simply stating that I dislike the genre and explaining why I dislike it. Now, please explain to me why rap can be considered music.
  24. I strongly dislike rap music (although I find some of the earlier, original rap artists tolerable), and dislike modern rap especially - the lyrical content is laughable, and most of the songs seem terribly uncreative. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but may I ask why rap is considered music? Music actually has notes, whereas rap typically consists of a basic, synchronized beat and an individual speaking in rhythm with that particular beat.
  25. Speed isn't everything... its his speed and accuracy (soz if i spelt that wrong lol) Herman Li = Fast and accurate (ish) There are faster, more accurate and less repetetive guitarists out there. He has developed his own style of playing, I'll give him that, but it's the same sweep/ tapping style riffs most of the time. Great stage performer though, syncronised jumping, playing each others instruments and breaking out into other peoples songs :D Best guitarist IMO is Guthrie Govan. You can check out some improvisations by him on YouTube. Which leads me onto: I watched Guthrie Govan playing. Excellent guitarist, the best I've seen in a while. I don't think that any guitarist can be considered a definite best, but Yngwie Malmsteen is probably my personal favourite. Nokturnal Mortum - "Lunar Poetry"
