  1. It's kind of off topic :? I'll pm it to you. On topic, I like the other articles more 7/10 for them cumulatively.
  2. Actually, the moment you flip it there is no probability to how it will land, the path, spin, and wind will determine where it will land. We just use probability because we can't process these factors to determine how it will land before it does. Also, unless the coin is weighted, that's bs My problem with The Curse of Probabilistic Knowledge is stormveritas didn't show the whole picture. It's correct of course that each monster has a set probability of dropping an item, but probability isn't about individual actions. Probability is about something happening from multiple actions. You're sitting around in the Chaos Tunnels killing Dust Devils. First one down: no chain. Second: no chain. Third: no chain. repeat, etc. The probability of a d chain drop is 1/15000 (I think), and each Dust Devil you kill has that probability. But if you kill 30,000 of them, there is a much greater chance of getting a D Chain (or three) than if you kill a hundred on a slayer task. That next dragon you kill won't have any greater chance of giving you a visage, but it will increase the chance that you get a visage on that dragon-killing trip. Nope, there is a bias for landing on he same side as flipped.
  3. The first one was just a math lesson that everyone learns after 8th grade, you have to be 13 years old to play this game, everybody should know logic by now. The author of the first article also seems to have never taken physics, if I put the coin on my thumb and flip it the actual probability of it landing on heads is .51,this is just in light of recent research on the matter.(this sentence was just me taking out my frustrations, nobody seems to grasp this concept.) Other than that it was alright, 7/10 for the first article.
  4. We need to change christmas crackers then, too. I'm deeply offended
  5. But much more costly. Magic is never worth it, effective or not. Oops... Still, what monster is not mageable? Err... what? I can't argue with you, you don't understand the difference between efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. What...? Then why would you even bring up Magic? Are you arguing against yourself? I said Slayer is not his only source of Magic. So next time somebody asks for a managable method to get 99 attack, you're going to answer chickens? How can you end an argument with that half [wagon] response? Inuashakent, you have missed the point, COMPLETELY. His question was is if mage was effective, not efficient. It is VERY effective at high levels when using slayer dart. Really? Maging is effective on Metals, it is effective, just not the most effective.
  7. Hunter is faster and you gain profit with it. Shouldn't that be more "newb" then? Magic logs= 99 fm in 4 or 5 days, its a buyable noob skill.
  8. How long did it take for the highest hat?
  9. I think its just to add to the mystique of the wilderness.
  10. xp is dependent on your level, you can use it for con.
  11. I wear tassets and got called a skirt noob :D
  12. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=728 Makes perfect sense. No one but you can see black marks, and the only time it matters is when your close to being banned, in which you will be able to do it, like the system says. Appeals are checked usually by bots, not jmods. It doesn't make much sense to me that I need to be closed to banned before I am given a chance to redeem myself. And jagex moderators can also see how many black marks I have, just so you know . Anywho, The system would suggest that innocent players have to endure the knowledge that they have been muted(or reprimanded) unfairly and that there is nothing they can do about it,seems unfair to me. Then either Jagex has some sort of Turing-beating superbots hidden in their towers, or they have a mod check over reports and simply automate the responses. In my experience they have always been accurate and true; I get stuck with things I really did, no matter how eloquent the appeal (yeah, I've tried), but they also clear up incorrect reports quickly. Really? It's always the opposite for me, I have been able to appeal 1 offence and it was denied, turned out "death to juice" is offensive language. That's because the Brits really, REALLY, love their juice. Please say you noticed juice 'joo-uss' can be a form of (unneeded) censor evasion for jews 'joos'. A.)My parents are Jewish, for one.I certainly did not mean that. :wall: B.)Jew(s) is not censored. Yeah, that's what I was think dark, I find it strange that Jagex wants our offenses to pile up before we have to appeal them, it could give us an unneeded sence of security that we could appeal these offenses, when they could be denied.
  13. lol...macroing reports work the same between p-mods and non p-mods. Just a Gamer, pmods have an ability called priority report, the name explains itself.
  14. 0/10 why even bother mate, everyone knows you fail
  15. Muted for saying "Death to all Juice" when mentioning Palestinian incompetence ;) that was on a sign, in an attempt to speak english.
  16. You haven't done 1000s of clues, you would have gotten something.
  17. It keeps getting worse too. Sorry to be presumptuous but if you are level 130+ then you probably have a good attention span and enough intelligence to plan out how you'd get that strong. That's how things used to be, but combat has no correlation with intellect anymore. The worst part is when they bring up their stats and act like their levels make them superior to you, despite their huge lack of eloquence. Yeah, you're gonna sit here on the computer and call me an "epic fail" just because your numbers are higher and I'm the one who's supposed to feel down from it? To agree with your point about intellect, I had to teach one my 138 friends how to hunt, he was baffled by it.
  18. I did feel a little uneasy killing all those rabbits, but at least I didn't discard the meat, which made up for it. Rabbits? What rabbits? I don't really need help....Strangely I felt completely normal after finishing the quest. Regicide, I can't wait to start that one. Not so much for the quest, but the reward. You don't need help, don't list to wanna be psychiatrists. It's supposed to be mentally taxing, you were just frustrated.

Who wants to melee mithril dragons when they're not training slayer? :? People hunting after a dfh 8-) clue hunters, 52 slayer~Jellys, best clue dropper ingame. Clues = ~200k per hour, only uninformed low levels use them. DFH has a very low drop rate and bad XP, not worth killing mith drags unless your just messing around for fun. Waterfiends = better charms and XP; bursting lobsters = even more charms and more XP, even with money earning time included. Last I checked not everything is about efficiency, some people kill miths for fun, their weapon of choice is a leaf-bladed sword. as for the clues, what if they get a 3a amulet, bam 120m.

Previous page addressed that and rules it out as viable.

Leaf blade swords are the best one handed stab weapon, the best weapon for meleeing mithril dragons after extensive testing by Qeltar. [hide=]Just got 97 def at azs. Using full bandos+rune defender. We have come to the end of another quote parade.[/hide]
  23. Yes, but both of those can be considered to contain slightly more 'life' and 'geek status' then those that simply troll online forums accusing others of lifelessness without bringing up any interesting points. 99 cooking is miles faster then a quest cape. If you have all the required skills I think questing is faster than cooking if cooking is at level 1, but me and a friend did realize its possible to get 20 million cooking xp in a day  Not a chance, cooking is roughly 60 hours; I spent at least 10 hours on RFD alone, and 6+ on desert treasure, 5 on underground pass (yeah, I hate those agility obsticles), and I'll be spending a lot more then that on WGS\MEPII Ehh I think itd be close, I hardly count cooking as 99 though.

If you care about total levels, which no one but you sees, train it to mid 70s. If you enjoy it, train it. Otherwise, don't touch it with a 10 foot pole. [hide=]I enjoy it and plan on getting 90+ eventually. Just a side note.[/hide] But if you leave it at 1 you miss out on soooo much stuff, like slayer dart and dust devils. There is a lot of valuable content in slayer, which is why I say it doesn't suck, just is inefficient when you reach higher levels. [hide=]These arguments on our various threads are distracting me from armoured zombies [/hide] Slayer dart: Lower hitting then fire wave, far less XP; fire wave is better unless your 99 mage, in which case COG or salamander is much better. Dust devils = MUCH slower XP\drops then armored zombies. [hide=]You think you have it bad, I'm at PC. Ground out 500 points today, about to get back the void lost to d bower... 129 WPM typing skills ftw :[/hide] Slayer dart is the most efficient way to do barrows at low levels, however, and dust devils are around 65k xp an hour, but their drops are better than armoured zombies. [hide=]Btw don't take anything I say on other threads to heart, I get very "into" arguments easily. Also, pc=pain I did it with heart unit and still couldn't stand it.[/hide] Salamander = higher max hit, more accurate, cheaper then slayer dart at any level. Dust devils are NOT over 190k in drops per hour, and FAR less XP. I hate PC too, I did 3,000 games with HU at the old PC, and 1,500 more at the new. But I lost full void to a d clawer, so I have no choice -.- Debating mode Deviledegg and Personal mode Deviledegg are two very separate people. I've been likened to a machine during arguments :? I'm at armoured zombies atm, only getting around 80k per hour. Also, broad bolts, are worth the slayer level. Leaf bladed swords are worth it,etc.
