One person is currently undergoing surgery for lacerations. I watched the news, seems as if they were just anxious for a piece of good news. They made this sound like a miracle, even though the plane was air-tight and that 98% of plane crashes have survivors. Not a miracle.

Playing the game for FUN. Exactly what I do. I happen to hate BA, and there's a multitude of threads asking 'is fighter torso really worth it?'. No, it's not, your waisting a huge amount of time. If you really enjoy BA more then anything else in game you could be doing (I love PVP, as an example), then sure, go ahead and have fun; consider the torso a slight bonus that would be better off dropped :P (proslyte\dh plate > torso for everything) For the rest of us who don't love BA, it's not worth getting. And I happen to enjoy conceiving the best way to be efficient. Hence why I do it, even if it isn't efficient : How ironic, mr. efficiency isn't efficient. Anywho, yeah it isn't worth it, unless you enjoy seeing slightly higher hits, or if you care about looks, neither of these are very efficient.

That's true, but it's not based on perception - in order for you to occasionally see 1 higher hit, your sacrificing roughly 600k XP, 1.2 million cash, and 50k summoning XP you could have gotten otherwise, or 6m from GWD, or 600k fletching XP etc. etc. etc. That's your choice, but for someone who wants to know which one is better, as in, will make for faster training, this is a more logical answer. It also applies to a lot of people (like me) who hate BH; the majority of my friends that have gotten a torso said they hated it and never wanted to do it again, and would gladly have avoided it had they known it wasn't worth it anyway. We aren't automatons, people don't do the most efficient thing, they play this game for FUN not for spending time conceiving the best way to be efficient,which is inefficient.

Nope. If you are being really efficient you should use the bronze daggers, cause like it takes time to get godsword. Bronze daggers are obviously better.

The authors admit here that previous work flipped 10,000 coins and came up with the 0.50 probability, and that they have not tested their "bias" nearly as much. The "natural bias" is nonsense. The differential is based on starting side (do you flip with heads/tails up), weight of offset sides (is the "head" deco more or less heavy than tail imprint?), height of toss and element of cheating. This doesn't begin to account for left vs. right hand, different coins, and coin disclosure style (catch, catch and flip, allow to hit ground). Too many variables, and 0.01 is a huge discrepancy from commonly held 0.50. If you're claiming that, show your sources, or go back to discussing topics at hand. For one, the difference between heads and tails is just a human thing, we have built machines that can flip a coin the same way every time. Now, onto the variables... Assuming the same person is slipping the coin I think it's safe to assume they aren't alternating right from left.Height of toss does impact what side the coin will land on, however, not in a manner that is higher than when you start on heads and flip a coin. This is something we discussed when this was being screened/edited. For clarification, I was simply saying that given you've already flipped nine heads, the odds that your next toss will be a head is still 50/50 (given that it is a "fair" die). I certainly agree that the odds of getting a given drop/reward over a number of trials will always increase when more trials are presented. It's the very existence of this dichotomy that makes the independent trial law so much more interesting. I enjoyed hearing that I have never taken a physics class, although the school that gave me an MS degree in Engineering probably would not. Err... What school did you go to? The current thesis regarding coin flips is that there is a natural bias for heads based on the way a human flips it and the way the coin is facing, the actual probability is .51 for heads ;) .This may,however, be a more recent discovery.
