Mod Mark H reveal RuneFest item 2010
Seems like it. :???: Ugh, I thought Runescape was supposed to NOT be like other MMO's... Farewell uniqueness, you lasted 10 years, no longer. Yes, because the other hundred times Runescape has apparently become like every other MMO it hasn't counted a month after when everybody has had time to think and forget. People around here really do make mountains out of mole hills. Big time Dan, people seriously make things out to be worse than they actually are; there's nothing wrong! RuneScape has said to have "died" now a countless number of times due to some update Jagex make, yet, we're all still here. What gives? What reason is there to rant about every single update? This isn't even an update! Jeez, I think people have begun to argue for the sake of argue just "for lulz", I think people have taken things way too far. Quite a few people will be dishing out money to attend this "Festival", now is it such a bad thing that they were there? Shall I and thousands of others rant because we can't get Bunny Ear's anymore? Or the Scythe? They are, after all untradable items which so many will never be able to get, but they symbolise something for all those who were around back in '04 and years prior, they show that they have been playing since then. Now, these Flags are going to show that these players attended RuneFest 2010. What's the difference? There is little. For those who are saying it's RWT - Jagex own RuneScape, they are a company, and quite simply; they can do what they want.

Different kind of case though isn't it? Bands go on tours and they usually eventually pop up in your location. This has no guarantee of EVER coming anywhere close to the states, not even Canada. If they said, "Yes we'll probably look at doing these in different countries", I wouldn't be so frustrated. They said depending on how the one in London goes they'll look into hosting it in other Countries, too. But you didn't partake in the festivities, why should anyone who's not going get something for...not going? :? And why should i pay alot of money to go to UK for one day to take part in the fest? I thought that players who went to the fest, could get the banner+plant it. On their banner should say Runefest 2010. While those who didn't get a copy of that without it being plantable or something. But that's just a solution as some players find it unfair. People will find the smallest things unfair just because someone else has it and they don't. It's an item that will have no real use, I don't see why anyone that's not going has a problem with others having it. Unless Jagex brought the festivities onto RuneScape and held in-game events I see no reason for anyone who's not attending to have one of these banners.

24-Apr-2010 - Jagex Presents... RuneFest 2010
That may be so, but they are still trying to break even. I think if they really want to make it a success they should accept they will make a loss. Indeed, I agree. I wonder how many people they really expect to be attending if they can figure out they'll make no loss...

Interview with Lead Designer Mark Ogilvie
Interesting read, I didn't actually know a dungeon could take 2 and a half hours - Perhaps I should spend less time reading and more time training

Do you join and talk in clan chats?
All I do is use Clan Chat's when I'm online, it's all I find interesting now so my answer to your question is Yes! And the Clan Chat which I use the most (Rarely any other) is Mod Mmg's clan chat.

Indeed, plenty of abusing to be done. And he's also got coffee to make for us, so we'll wait for that first.

Runescapes End?
I never see an end to RuneScape, in some way, shape or form it will always be around. I don't think it could ever get to the stage when everyone is "bored" of developing RuneScape, because there will always be plenty of fresh minds coming straight into the gaming business who will always have more to add. Geoff Iddison said that it was their main focus for the next 5 years back in '08, that 5-year plan was scrapped when Mark Gerhard took over as CEO and there is no end that I can forsee as everything is simply positive that's coming from Jagex. They're working on other games, they're not removing staff from the RuneScape department to do that, they're employing new ones. I think that makes it clear that it won't "Die". Also, the OP said that currently they see it as "Skyrocketing", so have many others seen this, for several years now. A constant "Skyrocket", even in December of '07 -- people are still playing that "Quit" back then.

24-Apr-2010 - Jagex Presents... RuneFest 2010
Jagex only has employees at HQ in Cambridge, there is no use for employees outside that office or away from the team. Meh, thought there was seeing as there are Danish mods etc. Danish mods that live and work in the UK. :P Also they have an office in London Paw_Claw.

Should Jagex make a rule that forbids price manipulation aka "Merchant clans"?
It is currently impossible unless they monitor everyone's Grand Exchange history. Not all "Manipulations Clans" are public with advertisers for them. There's also small ones, you have no idea how 3-4 people with in excess of 1B each can do to one item. Unless they change the whole Grand Exchange mechanics, this won't happen.

Are You Against Test Servers?
I think it would impact on the community too much as a whole if Jagex were to start running test servers for selected players. It would eliminate the surprise of the update overall, too. I could only expect non-disclosure agreements to also be a requirement, considering that's what they do if anyone visits Jagex etc etc. Back in August, they took in 12 local kids (I think it was 12, anyway) aged 13-18, they had to be accompanied by their parents and sign agreements and the like that what they seen inside Jagex..well.. stays inside Jagex. That was simply to test a tutorial.
