  1. Chances are what content they're releasing now wasn't in their heads a year or two ago. And, if you don't have interest right now releasing something new to do in a skill or two that has a 95+ requirement isn't going to draw you back to the game. And, if it does that won't be long lived as you'll get bored of that pretty fast, too. Also, revival? I didn't know it was in any sort of critical state. I must correct, if a company isn't willing to please 1 person out of over 19,000. Remember, those other 18,999 people may not have the same mindset and ideas as you. ;)
  2. The last real high-level update was 2-3 weeks ago when we saw a new impling that you could hunt at level 91, I think? And before that, hmm, we had Agility and hmm..Prayer...Magic, do you see where I'm going? If you actually look back at the past few months you'll realise that Jagex are trying to cater for everyone, they're just focusing their time on one group for a month or two then heading to the next. Where are we now? Drifting, I say. High, mid and low-level content. I know I'd sure love to get 90 odd Hunter to be able to enjoy that, recent, high-level content.
  3. Not as good considering active time, no. But you can do it continuously so it's much better in elapsed time. Back on topic, though, it's funny seeing all these people who clearly know NOTHING about software development make grand pronouncements about what they think Jagex should be able to do in a few hours. no im pretty sure he realizes it takes a long time to do even simple updates, but frankly the updates suck most of the time. To you, perhaps. But there's always many people there that will appreciate them.
  4. I think someone doesn't quite understand what goes into an update. You don't simply enter in the text to your idea and have the system create it all, from scratch. And would you rather nothing for a month or small updates that make you go, "Oh, that's a nice little update :)". I think I'd rather that, not expecting what's coming and even if it is something that's not some high level content or whatever but you simply reacting to it with an attitude that's not hostile. I say keep 'em coming Jagex, you're doing a wonderful job. I don't expect everything that's put into this game to be playable by me, and I simply don't care if it's something that isn't useful for me at all. But there's going to be others that will appreciate it. They're the ones that aren't on here praising Jagex, and even if they were, their voices would be outdone by those who are whining and gaining these so-called "Supporting" lists.
  5. And in a demo you can only do a certain amount of things before you can't go any further. How many times must it be repeated to make people understand, F2p isn't a demo!! This would be like...Gnome copters. Except you can actually do things yourself (Very limited amount, I'm sure. I've not actually seen it nor heard of it before now.)
  6. They changed how Hp works, simply adding another digit at the end and not actually effecting much in the game. They release a free to play quest and some more nice updates for the lower level players among us, and all of a sudden everything is aimed at low levels? Eh, I think not! Haven't we already seen what some would call elite content? Yes, we have. Will those low levels be able to use that content, any time soon? No, they won't. Will you? Yes. Probably right away, I bet however you weren't complaining because others couldn't take advantage of what you had available. You can, too, use the content they're releasing. Yet, still complain. I'm positive there's content in this game that you haven't completed so why not take a swing at that, and by then you'll see some more "High level updates", which we have been seeing quite often, in-fact. Why is a large portion of the community will never just take a step back and say to themselves: "Well, we have this content and it's just great! And I'm glad to see Jagex aren't just catering for us, but also for the lower levels. I'm sure they'll release more content for us in the future, so lets go ahead and play what we already have rather than complaining about everything that's released that doesn't quite suit our needs." Lets pray that that day comes at some stage.

I'll add you, and if you've got a headset and once you get used to the game I'll bring you into one of the well-known clans. ;)
  8. I've to agree with Omali on this one. I think it's pretty much over-the-top now that any move Jagex make to attract members gets criticized by those that already play claiming they've become "desperate". I don't think the users should care what Jagex are doing outside of the game, afterall, they can do what they want. They can mislead people if they want, it's not your problem. The people that come check out RuneScape will realise that perhaps they'll only have the Corporeal Beast if they upgrade to members, but that's not going to effect them. They'll also realise that they don't have the combat stats to even go near that beast. And only after excelling their character will they ever have a chance. And via training it'll most likely click with them; "Hey, if I get membership for $5 a month I can enjoy this much more and gain levels faster!". Do you see? As I said previously, I've no problem with them doing this. Even if they offered a free month of membership for F2P'ers to check out P2P, I'd welcome that too. The more money for them, the better. It won't effect me or my game-play. Yeah, I'll be asked more questions but that gives a better sense of community.
  9. I wonder why the OP left out January? Wasn't January a pretty decent month? Yes, yes it was. You don't get what you want in the other two months thus resort to complaining. I don't understand why the RuneScape community does this. Not every update will cater for every individual. There are low level players, you know. Not everyone's been here years to get to a high level and have completed every piece of content (Which I doubt the OP has).
  10. I think they should have picked a different image. But anyway, I think it's cool. They're a company, funny that people will bash them for advertising.
  11. I've moved this thread to Help & Advice. Please take on the advice from the user above; there's different sections of this forum for a reason. Please use them appropriately. Carl
  12. Looks interesting, and someone above said "And a carrot." We got that last year. I'll probably do it later tonight. On a side note; Happy Birthday Smelly!
  13. First off, welcome to Tip.It! However, as the above poster's said there's a topic for introducing yourself already, so I'll go ahead and lock this. If you've any problems, feel free to Pm me. Carl

    Moved to the Rants.
  15. You would require level 89 (Approximately half-way to level 90) to have 5M XP in a skill. You can refer to the Tip.It XP Table for additional help.
  16. I haven't the foggiest idea.. I just..did.
  17. Only actually begun listening to them in the past few days after hearing "15 Step", which would have to be my favourite.
  18. I wouldn't play offline, the only reason I play is to interact with friends in the game. Not to train my stats.
  19. Quite an amazing feat, congratulations! 10/10
  20. I'm not entirely sure which it was, I think it was one of the combat 99's. As he wasn't getting the capes as he got the 99's, getting 99 slayer wasn't much really. :P I suppose just to say "My first 99 was Slayer!" would be nice.
  21. (I took the above picture last night) I'm sure you'll see no-one as crazy as Shimon for a while to come. He maxed last night. 24 99's in an hour or so.
  22. Hello and welcome to Tip.It! I'm afraid, however, you've posted your thread in the wrong forum, but that's no bother. You can Introduce Yourself To Tip.It Here. And also repost your video link in the Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!. And also possibly head to the Player Killing section of the forums where your knowledge may be help! I'll lock this thread, if you've any problems please don't hesitate to Private Message me. ~Carl
  23. Very interesting, I wonder if this was intentional.
  24. It's a F2P quest, designed for low level F2pers. You hardly expect something of..say...While Guthix Sleeps' standard all of the time. Lighten up.
  25. 65-66 crafting from stringing jewellery. 94-95 mage via the above. I gained, in total today, 1.2M Mage XP. Over roughly 6 hours 30 minutes. I didn't prepare for this weekend at all, either.
