How can you possibly treat what people enjoy? It's not harming you, or anyone else in the whole world, at all! Unless that person's being paid to care for you and just plays RuneScape thus neglecting you. You cannot possibly say that 9 hours is a massive problem and must be treated. Some watch television for 9 hours a day, what the hell is the difference? So what if they may choose not to go out on a weeks binge like an above poster said, it's their choice, not yours, and is certainly not your problem. What death666bl00ms said couldn't possibly be anymore correct. There's no set guideline which one must live by. No, you must do this for X amount of hours per day before you can do this and until you can do this. Things don't work like that. What someone enjoys, what they love to do, shouldn't in any way bother anyone on here. I've no idea why we're discussing it this far. People don't have to work for 50 hours a week, sleep 50 hours a week, commute 7 hours a week - they just don't. Their week can consist of whatever they like. Hell, they can have 1 hour sleep a day if that's possible. And you'll just have to accept that and get over it. They are not you, they are not your shadow.

Then you obviously have no idea what kind of jobs there are in the world and how there are many laid back bosses. If you're doing what your job specification requires, then that's all there is to it. What you do while doing that job (If reasonable) generally is okay. Laid back to me does not mean letting your employees waste time playing an online game for 9 hours a day. I'd get disciplined at work for even logging onto facebook, which I think is fair. Honestly if you have time to play a game when you're at work then you should look at getting a more challenging and perhaps a better paying job. Well there's no point in me continuing what I'm trying to say as it's quite obvious not one of you seem to be actually getting the point but rather nit-picking.

This thread's just turning into Qeltar v everyone else. You do know there are jobs in which you're in an office, and perhaps answering a phone all day? Yes, there are plenty of jobs like that. Those give time to do other things while talking - playing RuneScape for example. I reckon you stop looking for what's wrong with what say and start seeing what's right about what they say. You don't need to criticise everything in life.

Bedridden= drop those 50 hours of work/school. Being able to play the game while working = drop all of those hours and move on.

Yeah i read that, and i am wrong. But i don't believe it's the most popular, it's just something caused because of statistics. However don't think i look at Runescape as a crap game, it has great content, but i just can't accept that F2P along is enough for Jagex to deserv being the most popular free game in world. I fail to understand your logic behind your arguement. You say that "it's just based on statics", which are true! However, while everyone's allowed to voice their opinion, you're pushing yours through like it's fact, which is what it isn't.It is the most popular free game in the world, whether you like it or not, well, free MMO. I don't think there's anything else we can discuss on this thread, as all it is now is you voicing your opinion against the facts we have in front of us. I have friends who have maxed in F2p, they're playing for their own enjoyment - not to gain respect from others.

Depends on who you're asking. High level F2pers will say that F2p is better, I personally would agree with them in the sense that F2p for them is about the tightly-knit community they have. Everyone knows everyone.. P2pers, well, they'll say P2p is the best simply because they're P2p and that's what they do. (Note, I'm P2p.) And to reply to what you've said to ilovecuttingyews, P2p is indeed the expansion pack, F2p is the game. You've got everything you need to play RuneScape (the "F2p version"), there's nothing left out. Everything you need is at your fingertips. There's no content left out purposely so you can't complete a task, there's hiscores which are mixed with P2p, there's basicly everything you'd expect in a game. Except this's being provided free of charge and all they ask is that you leave the advert at the top of your window free. That, my friend, is a game. That, is RuneScape. One can't argue that at all. RuneScape is FREE. But if you wish, you can pay a monthly charge to get some extra benefits! But if you don't want to, you can still play a full game in itself. :thumbup:

Jagex can, and are portraying their game as free to play. As it is, mentioning payment will turn people away instantly. They're allowed to say it's F2P, as the actual game is. And as ilovecuttingyews said your arguement's very biased. I know plenty of F2p'ers who prefer F2p over P2p. They find it a hell of a lot more fun.

How can one say what it's not going to be if no-one knows any detail about it other than Jagex staff? There's a possibility that it could be archaeology, it could be anything (Except sailing, of course). And it's widely known that there's a new skill in the works and has been general knowledge since mid '09 ('round that time, anyway..). What's known is that it is F2p, and Jagex had intended to make this a game in its' own right, but they decided that it'd fit RuneScape perfectly as a skill. So, here we are. Expect it in 2010. (I'm sure. ;))

I voted for the Halloween event, I found it more enjoyable than the others. I can't remember the Easter event, and, well I personally don't see the Thanksgiving event as the Cryptic Clue Fest, that was moreso a community event and killing the super-turkeys was the actual thanksgiving event. Christmas was rather enjoyable, too. :thumbup:

I must say it was the best movie I've seen all year. And I'm so glad I went to see it in 3D. I seriously wasn't expecting much from it.. but wow, it blew me out of my seat. Seing the first adverts of it I think was when I seen 2012, and it wasn't that..amazing. But considering it was on in 3D, I said I must go. And I am most glad I did. This's the kind of movie I'd recommend everyone to see, pure genius. Really had a sense that you were there, the action was intense and the graphics were stunning. <3:
