  1. For how small an update is, and I do mean small not in terms of ramifications, but in terms of work going into it, I have to say I don't think they thought it out very well. On another note, I'm bored, so to Den, just gonna say I'd totally hit that.
  2. Yes, but we don't know if they came by choice. They must pre-date everything else since Jas enslaved them at some point,l and since he was around before everything else has existed, then they pre-date everything that currently exists as well.
  3. It 'twas lame, that's for sure. Now, PVP is rather... meh. It's not a big loss anyway.
  4. That would be the way to end the game. You sail off to the Eastern Lands and fall off the edge of the map and die forever. Game over. :)
  5. Yes, he is. They do not stack, not in any format, all are seperate.
  6. I do agree that the first two quests were done poorly, but I stand by the time traveling idea being a good one. Also, could you imagine the cut scene that they could make for the downfall of Zaros? Should they put ample effort into it mind you.
  7. Personally I think Jagex is missing out on using one of the biggest tools in its desposal to both make great storylines and create epic quests: The Making/Meeting History quests. I mean, think about it, if they just moved away from it being Ardy centric, and we can use the key to travel to different places back in time, it would be awesome! We can participate in some of the most major events in the history of Runescape, meet all the old people, and do much more. I mean, if you think the Ritual quest would be good, imagine if we did a quest where we were there and actually participated in the fight between Zamorak and Zaros and the latter's impalement and banishment. They are seriously missing the boat on this idea.
  8. Grom, I do not think of gameplay as unimportant, I think of it as more like the engine of the game. Other aspects are being left behind in the name of gameplay and it's starting to lag far behind and really bog down the game. It doesn't matter how great the engine is, how well it's designed, or how well it runs, if you don't have the wheels, tired, handling, and suspension to put that power on the road. Jagex has lately been worried about gameplay and graphics, which I will admit are two of the things that did run behind the rest of the game in the past, but we've gone from one end all the way to the other. It's ending up like WoW. It's all graphics and gameplay with absolutely no in-game story. (And before anyone asks, I know it has out of game lore than is nice, but the in game has about as good of a flow as a guy with kidney stones)
  9. The biggest example of that to me is Mobilising Armies. A game that clearly that doesn't belong, adds nothing to the game, nor it's backstory, and was done because they enjoyed working on it. Believe me, working on things is fun, but if no one wants what you're working on, then it's pointless to try and sell it. RS is far too concerned with what they can technically do now and not enough with what they should be doing. I mean, let's be frank, they wrote up a little idea for Bilrach and Daemonheim, but that doesn't belong or fit in the game at all. Fairy Tale pt 3's storyline was completely rediculous. They're just sliding down and down. In business, you're either growing or shrinking, and Runescape isn't growing... Morionic, I'm a girl.
  10. Yes, I'm glad to hear you all like my sarcasm. Also glad to know that you only acknowledge a post you can criticize than the one you don't respond to. Like it or not, this game is going downhill and it is because of the ineffectiveness of Jagex. They really aren't developing their game at a pace that they should be. Yes, the gameplay itself has improved, but other games have much better gameplay. What should be doing is giving it a more storyline depth. It seems like every update they try to give something new, which is nice, but it adds nothing to the whole. I get the feeling that every update now happens only for the sake of having an update. It used to be that Runescape as a whole was greater than the sum of its parts. These days the sum of its parts can barely make a whole. Oh yeah, if there is anything sadder than my complaining, it would be you numbskulls complaining about my complaining.
  11. Sounds like backwards thinking to me. The Courtcases are minimal enough experience that people would be more likely to do them for the entertainment. At least until batch 2 is released. The point he's making is that they've done very little to add depth to their game as of late. Especially in regards to the in-game history and events.
  12. Have you even got one yet? You'll find that it does expand on the lore. Fine, then they expanded by such a small degree that they had to invented a measurement for how smallit is: 1 Idiotium and 10 Idiotium equals one Hardtard. A combo of Gerhard and a reta... well you can figure the rest.
  13. Am I the only one who disappointed that, again, Jagex has blown another opportunity to expand on the lore/canon of their game?
  14. Oh, and I found it while watching Horsefeathers on TCM.
  15. Hemen, I was mostly being facetious about it since most players seem to think this is how I am about everything. I am a bit like it though. :P
  16. Personally, I think we need to get weapons that allow people to attack with magical melee just like some monsters do.
  17. I found a little vid on Runescape that sums up my philosophy as it relates to Runescape, posting on Tip, and life in general. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtMV44yoXZ0
  18. Oh please, can you just compliment Jagex without having some negative sidenote? What is this "complimenting" you speak of? I have never heard of the concept.
  19. Jagex Motto: If it ain't broke, you're not trying hard enough.
  20. Well, when it comes to Jagex, complaining gets you what you want. For once, it got us something good back.
  21. Soloing is awful. It's dull, boring, and lonely. And doing teams that you don't know is far too random and is likely to infuriate you to the point of punching kittens in the face.
  22. It's the puzzle quest equivalent of Nomad's Requiem basically. Oh wait, that quest gave us a useful reward. Nevermind... <_<
  23. Unfortunately, the hexhunter bow is the only slayer item that may be worth binding (before level 100). blood necklace i'd never bind a blood neck over a promethium platebody :P too bad we just don't have more data on the hexhunter. I've seen sougazers, I'm just amazed that we've barely heard any word of it as a drop. You can get 99 dungeoneering and never see a blood necklace, but any smuck(well, nearly) can make themselves a prom plate. Unless you know of a way to craft blood necklases, you just don't know what you are talking about. *Schmuck. Don't use Yiddish unless you can spell it right. :P
