  1. I would think that iron dragons are probably the best balance of drops and difficulty. Needless to say, mith dragons have better drops, but I don't feel they're usually worth it for their difficulty. Iron dragons drop something half-decent on almost every kill and have a slew of good drops that come up at decent rates. Black dragons aren't too bad either in terms of difficulty, but if you noticed their drop tables aren't particularly impressive. The only thing I can't vouch for is the Dragon larges; needless to say, a single dragon large from a mith dragon can be a LOT better than a ton of the near-best drop from and iron dragon. Still, I'd venture to say that irons are best.
  2. What he just said. You're correct in that they at least seem to have a slow respawn time (though in reality it's probably comparable to most monsters). This is because it always feels like there's only one of them nearby. Your best option is to just keep running between two of them; they'll almost always have respawned by the time you get back to them. Besides, if this is for a slayer assignment, you probably don't have to kill all that many, anyway.
  3. You can't high alch in Pest Control.
  4. What you want is this: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=516149 The Runescape offical Forum has a topic like this, too.
  5. Try to have your house set up like this: Next to your home portal, have a chapel. Very close to the chapel, have your Quest Hall and portal rooms (as close as you can get). There will be many times that you want to teleport in, recharge your prayer, then teleport somewhere else, and this will help to facilitate this. Also, if you can, you may want to build an obliette with a flame pit but no gate. That way, you can quickly kill yourself if you ever need to do so, which will recharge your energy, stats, and health without losing anything.
  6. Here's what I would say. The percentage change in exp is small, but when you're doing an activity for a long time (such as wc), doing something at the beginning that affects percentage exp can have a HUGE effect in the long run. I've heard that certain pieces are hard to get; you should be able to get maybe the hat and boots quickly, though, so it might be worth it to try to get those.
  7. You should add Tears of Guthix to the list of quests. It's simple and very useful, especially since all their member skills will be low.
  8. It's 2-handed. I used one yesterday and I'm pretty sure it had the speed of a longsword.
  9. I cannot tell you for sure, but I'm under the impression that gem tips help at least a little bit in terms of damage. Of course, with bolts, one of the biggest benefits is the special effects of the bolts, and those only occur if you have the tips.
  10. USUALLY, you can get back a quest item by talking to the person who gave you that item during the quest. This is not always the case, but generally you'll say "I lost [blank], can I have another?" and get another free. If you talk to the person and don't get it back, try looking it up on the item database of various sites; often you'll find that the item database says where you can get it. If that doesn't work, then you basically just have to ask around. Most quest items are re-obtainable if there's some use for them.
  11. The best way to make money is a hard thing to say, especially not knowing your stats, interests, etc. Let me say this much: everytime I do something, I weigh the cash I could earn (or lose) vs. the experience I could gain. I then look at the options that I have and decide what's best to me, personally. Runescrafting nature runes or laws, for example, is one decent way of earning money, but it depends on how much you enjoy runecrafting, how much you need runecrafting experience, etc. Something like chopping yews or fishing sharks might earn less money per hour, but if you like fishing more or want fishing exp more, then it could very well be worth it. I'll say that MOST thing you do that are major money makers are probably going to earn you at least 100k an hour (some might make a lot more than that, of course, 100k is more of a minimum). Even a newb can make over 100k an hour just mining pure essence (not that it's necessarily the best option). At 100k an hour, you should be able to get enough cash to buy a darkbow within a week at most, so I wouldn't worry too much about getting the "most" cash as about getting the best combination of fun, experience, and cash (which only you can decide).
  12. You have to get a spirit tree seed from a nest, like all other tree seeds. However, as you said, it's untradeable and rare, so there are three primary ways to get it: 1. Mole. You can get nests from the mole, but MOST nests aren't even tree seeds, so this option isn't all that good. 2. Woodcutting. This does work, as you'll get nests like you get gems from mining. If you wear a rabbit foot, you'll do even better. 3. Miscellania. This is probably the easiest way. Have your guys gather maples for you. If done correctly, that's 7.9 nests a day. You should get approximately 1 spirit seed from every 100 nests. Given that you're getting 7.9 nests per day from misc and it doesn't take much effort to do misc (just drop in once a day to recharge favor), this is probably the easiest way.
  13. Construction Tips Basically anything you can. It's kind of annoying until you can make oak stuff. Probably 500-1k normal planks should be plenty. You'll want about 3 iron nails per planks; one bar makes 15 nails, so that shouldn't be as hard as it sounds. If the nails annoy you, don't worry; you don't need them once you get above oak. Oak stuff. Larders (look at the Kitchen) are faster, armor stands (look at the Skill Hall) are cheaper if you have the requirements to build them. I myself use larders. There are two major things I recommend in every house, and you want these things to be close together and near your portal. One is a chapel, the other is teleportation. First of all, keep in mind that if you end up so your portal isn't near the things you like, you can always build a garden somewhere else then build a portal in there instead. So, the most important thing is keeping the chapel and teleportation rooms all next to each other; you can get a portal nearby one of these usually. Anyway, you want the chapel for two reasons. First, it gives you an easy place to recharge prayer, which is useful in many situations. Second, if you plan to TRAIN prayer, you'll want a Chapel with the best altar and burners. You can use a bone on the altar and, if the burners are lit, you'll get 3.5x as much exp as you normally would. Offering a bone is even faster than burying it, so that's a great way to train. As for teleportation, there are TWO kinds of rooms you need. First, you'll want a Quest Hall. In the Quest Hall, you can mount a dragon amulet. This mounted amulet provides UNLIMITED teleports as long as you can touch it. This is very useful for teleporting out of the house. Second, you'll want a Portal Chamber. These rooms allow you to direct portals with 7 of the teleport spells in the game (you can read up on which ones in the Portal Chamber section of the Knowledge Base, under Construction). I would HIGHLY recommend you have a portal directed to Canifis, as you would normally one have access to spell when equipped with Ancient Magics. If you set a portal to teleport here, you can teleport to your house then run through this portal to get to Canifis. Other than that, it's up to you what other portals you want. Myself, I have 2 portal chambers directed to every possible place except Lumbridge (I rarely need to go there, and Home Teleport can take me there, anyway). I have my house set up like this. I have the portal to my house (in the garden). To the right of that is my chapel. Below the chapel is my Quest Hall. To the right of my Quest Hall is one portal chamber (it has Canifis, Falador, and Varrock teleports). Below the Quest Hall is a Skill Hall (this has nothing to do with teleporting). To the right of that Quest Hall is my second portal chamber (Ardgourne, Yanille, Camelot). I put the portals in such a way that one room has everything to the east of Falador and the other has everything to the west of Falador. This was only to make it easier for me to find a portal I don't use often, though; it has no practical reason for being this way. Servants do many things, but there two main uses are that (once they reach a certain level, at least), they can take a noted item to the bank for you and un-note it, and they can take logs to the bank to turn into planks. I'll explain why this is useful later. Anyway, servants get 8 uses after you pay them. You have to pay them whatever their starting wage is after every 8 uses (they'll ask for their pay). Get the Demon Servant as soon as you can. He comes back with your things in a few seconds. The prices can be found in the Knowledge Base. Anyway, here's my advice for power-training once you hit the right level (before that, just push through with normal chairs and such). As soon as you can build stairs, build a Quest or Skill Hall with a set of stairs going up one flight. Build a Skill or Quest Hall up there. Next to the Skill or Quest Hall, build a Kitchen. However, build it in the right direction such that the larder spot is right next to the Skill/Quest Hall on the second floor. Make sure these are the only things on your second floor. Also, on the first floor, build a Dining Hall with a bell somewhere close to where these stairs are. Why did you do all this? Here's why. Go to your house with thousands of noted oak logs, a lot of money (I mean like millions if you have it), a saw, and a hammer. Summon your butler by ringing the bell in the Dining Room (this will bring him right to you). Use the noted oak logs on him. Ask him to bring you back 24 of them. As soon as he leaves, run to the stairs but don't go up yet. When he comes back, he'll give you un-noted oak logs. Use these on him and tell him to take them to the sawmill. As soon as he leaves, go up the steps, then stand next to the larder spot. That only has to be done once. From that point on, your GOLDEN. When he comes back, it HAS to be either in the Skill Hall or the Kitchen, because those are the only two rooms on the floor your in. Also, you made sure the larder was right next to the skill hall (right?), so no matter where he spawns in the two room, he'll only be like a second away from you. When he comes back with the oak planks, immediately, send him to un-noted 24 more oak logs. Then, start building/tearing down larder. Each larder takes 8 planks, so you'll only need to build three. He'll probably come back before you're done; don't worry. He'll hold the extra logs for you as long as you don't tell him to take them to the bank. Once you've built your third larder, click on your Butler (he'll simply stand next to you waiting for you to take the logs) and he'll give you the remaining un-noted logs. You should now have 24 oak logs again. Use one on him and tell him to take 24 to the sawmill. As soon as he leaves, tear down the remaining larder and wait for him to return. Once he returns and gives you the planks, tell him to take 24 noted logs to the bank and bring back 24 un-noted ones. And then continue with the pattern. I can get around 150k exp an hour doing this. One tip. You WILL get random events in your house. Whenever possible, ALWAYS respond to the event when you have a full inventory. That way, if it's a gem or something, it'll just fall to the ground. However, you CANNOT drop items in building mode, which means that you basically have to start everything over again if you get a gem in your inventory. The only event this should be a problem with is the Mystery Box; with everything else, you can choose when you get the item. Of course, for some random events, it's not a problem either way; for example, with a genie, simply use the lamp and it disappears; or, if you get a piece of food, eat it.
  14. We've found evidence that the decline of chatters in tipitchat corresponds closely with the day that shadow7 joined it.
  15. Slayer dart has one other benefit; it's extremely accurate compared to normal spells.
  16. Go to the Runescape Manual. Check out the study. It tells you what level you need to build certain lecturns (each one makes different tablets).
  17. Chaos druids are the most common one (you can find them in the Edgeville member dungeon). Aberrant specters drop up to 3 at a time and require 60 slayer; they're in the slayer mansion.
  18. If you're a member, use the canoe to sail from edgeville close to the mine.
  19. I would think that mining rune would be faster cash, but as the previous poster mentioned, you'll still need to train to 85 mining, and the mith bar option might be an option while you train to that level.
  20. At your level, I think you can estimate about 100k exp an hour if you're alone (maybe a little less). People will tell you tons of strategies, but there's really not much to it. Just sit there with your boxes in a formation that keeps em fairly close together so you can check them faster (they don't necessarily need to be all touching, though). Then hunt.
  21. From what I've been told, despite lightning quitting, she still owns the chat. But overall, the owner really doesn't matter; as was said before, things are set up, all you need to do is go to tipitchat.
  22. You aren't likely to find one. See, to use chins effectively, you need to get a bunch of monsters to stand essentially on the same spot. The only way to really do this is to get them to attack you. Since you can't get attacked, you're not going to get a lot of monsters to stand on each other. You'd be better off switching to another range training method. People will tell you ways to train with the chins, but in the end, you'll just be spending a lot and training slower, because your character is not set up to train correctly.
  23. If you're on the puzzle part, which I think you are, remember that the machine works like this: whatever value the pieces you put in sums to, you'll get that sum of pieces back out. So, if you have a really high value piece and need a low value, put it in and break it into a bunch of lower pieces. If those are too high, break them down again by putting them in the exchanger. Keep doing that until they're as low as you need them to be. Once that's done, you can then start trying to add them up to get numbers as high as you need.
  24. Generally, in these cases, they're recomending that you pray against range. That allows you to ignore Supreme since his attacks won't hurt you anyway. First of all, I'll say i HAVE solo'd the DK's before; however, doing this will limit you to 2, maybe 3 DK's per trip max. You are MUCH better off to just ask a third person to come (I assume you already have one partner from the way you're speaking). Have the third person kill Supreme; he basically gets free kills, anyway. Then, let each person just keep whatever kills they get (since it's one per DK). Doing this helps to spread around the damage from the weak things on the outside and will keep supreme off your back.
