  1. I teled to Lumby from Fally. used a canoe to go north to the gate to Canifis, went through the trapdoor, got to Barrows, didn't have spade. Teled to Lumby, canoed north to G.E., bought a spade, went ALL THE WAY BACK TO BARROWS, and got owned in about 5 seconds #-o
  2. Even better, get one of those spy cameras. They can make a full mike and speaker system fit into a pen, I think you can sneak it into the classroom somehow unnoticed. I'll use my MacGuyver skills to make one out of a pencil and some reinforcement stickers.
  3. he would be a christian, a follower of his own beliefs Karl Marx was a marxist, Confucious was a Confucionist(spelling) etc. Well, he was a Christian in the end, but he was raised as a Jew.
  4. 2 thread within like an hour of each other? What are you doing?
  5. there's proof of jesus being real, it's not proven if he could heal leprosy, walk on water, let the blind see, or if he was the son of God (in Christianity) or a prophet (in Islam) Pretty much. But like I said earlier, does it really matter what skin color he was? I think the pic Lancer posted above looks about right.
  6. Yep, everything in the Bible during Jesus's time is true, but before that hasn't been proven. (Garden of Eden is probably not true)
  7. Jesus DID historically exist, that much is fact. Whether or not he was the son of God, the messiah, is up for debate. A dark Arab color, almost definitely, but does it really matter?
  8. Just played the demo, but I really don't know how to play. Is there a way to heal without getting captured and losing your army? And what's a good way to make money? Once those two things are figured out, this game could easily be worth buying. P.S. How big can you make your party at maximum?
  9. Here's another one for the mispronunciation pool. The word is ask, for christ's sake it's not aks!
  10. I hate emos. Theres like 7 of them at my school and they all say it's because their life sucks and they have no choice. Meanwhile most of them have nice families, and plenty of friends. Not only that, but they try to bring down the mood of everyone else around them.
  11. That movie was awesome
  12. This looks really cool, and especially impressive considering the circumstances. Entire trained companies have made games that were way shorter and not nearly as good as this. I think the advantage you have over these companies is that you have no time constraints (you're not rushing things in at the end in a frantic go go go go go!)
  13. You're correct. Well, your teacher's a nutjob. As others have said, bring a tape recorder or something, and let the principal of your school listen to it. Or, invite the principal to your classroom one day. No matter which you do, be sure to post the audio file/video for us to listen/watch...  Audio recorder is a nogo, my only one is analog. As for video, I do have a small, low quality camera that may work but for some reason only Jesus and aliens understand, no audio (it's a tiny $30 Aiptek thing). It's doubtful I'd be able to get it into class but I'm looking for a way (maybe bring a bigger camera with sound in under my jacket, and hope the audio isn't smothered?) I just need something, I sound pretty dumb here without proof. EDIT: riku, maybe I should just leave this guy until the end of the year for the laughs : According to my friend, he learns about The 20's and stuff, but since the depression wasn't until the 30's, there's not really much to know there except trumpets, flapper fashion, and mobsters. Maybe he'll tell us about how the Germans stormed Normandy after the KKK kidnapped Jesus.
  14. On the PC it used to (sort of), but it got patched.
  15. It really comes down to this. They feel pain. They don't like it. We're making them do it for our own amusement.

Mapping then? That can be kind of fun if you're allowed some creative license.
  17. Yeah, you need to bring an audio recorder to class and put it up on youtube or something, we NEED to hear this for ourselves. I just spent like 20 minutes looking through google, nada. Hell, I'll bring a full camera crew! "Chris, who are they?" "Uh... foreign exchange students." EDIT: Just got back from the God of Knowledge. Wikipedia. Apparently while the U.S. relationship with Russia has been pretty rocky, there has never been a full-scale war, the closest being Vietnam were some Russian mercs fought, though if my definition of mercenary is right, they don't even work for the Russian government, just the highest bidder.
  18. Doubts rising... I was expecting someone to not believe me. I think it sounds dumb, and I was the one who for a while thought there really was a Great War. Have you actually said anything to this [wagon]? Oh, and do tell, what did happen in the 1986 Battle of Red Square? I'm just dying to know. I haven't said anything, but now that you mention it, I probably could. He'd give me a detention, but once they found out what I was arguing about I'd be surprised if they really went through with it. On Monday I'm going to bring some of these facts up to him (including the one about why there were no nukes used, which would inevitably happen if it was serious enough to get to Red Square). I'm also going to ask why Russia is still a country ;) Someone said awhile ago that they can't fire teachers of more than twenty years. He's taught here since the 80's so it's close, not sure if it's been the full twenty yet.

For programming, you'd need pretty high grades. As for testing, there are probably very few requirements, but it's not as fun as it sounds. You HAVE to play the games you're assigned whether you like them or not, and you have to play them over and over again testing every little detail. It would get boring really fast. If you want to work with the good stuff, get those grades up!

  21. Why doesn't the end appear? Edit: NVM
  22. Explain why you don't consider them wrong then, rather than just this thread's billionth comparison.
  23. *Family Guy style clip here*
  24. Just got back from school. Todays history topic: The 1986 Battle of Red Square. :|
