I dont know if people are gonna flame this thread for whatever reason, but just read what I've got too say. With all the Runescapians these days goin on their own, being rude or abrasive to new players and laughing at "noobs" for not knowing the way to Varrock, etc., its nice to see some Runescape players still have a touch of class. Today, whilst mining south of Lumbridge, a player offered to take people to the furnace if they did not know the way. Another player yesterday in the same place, stop a number of new players being scammed. So, everybody post some of the nice things you saw Runescape players do today, and prove that we should look on the bright side and see what good things Runescapaisn do, not the bad! :D

Well, I'm persuaded to say the least! :D But I really cant stand the drop limit, couldn't they change it so it was possible to have a private drop party in a players house or something with maybe a minimum people?

Hey, I'm Leo_skilla, and im currently retired. But i do occasionally head over to RS and check out whats happening. And what i saw shocked me. With these new updates, PKing, Merchanting and Droip Parties have all essentially been removed from Runescape. Not only that, birthday presents or just lending a friend a weapon or something have been abolished. PKing-Pking there's not much point anymore. Simple as that. You cannot get any drops worth over 3k, and most people Pk for the drops. If it's for fun, they go to the Duel Arena. Drop Parties-Look, we've got the party room, but really, if you are having a priate party with your friends, do you want all the bankers on every server screaming "1m drops in party room world whatever" and have half of Runescape show u when you just wanted to have a good time with your friends? Merchanting-With the new 3k limit on unbalanced trades, merchanting is dead. Unless you plan to make tiny amounts of profit at a time, merchanting is over. Pro Wrestling-Shelton Benjamin Hey, I'm Hbk_Hossack, and this is my 2nd wrestlign thread. This thread is about one superstar who I believe to be the most athletic comptetitor in the WWE today. Shelton Benjamin Shelton Benjamin is a former 2-time WWE Tag Team Champion with Charlie Haas, a former 3-time Intercontinental Champion and has victories over Triple H, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam and Ric Flair. When i first say him debut I thought buy late 2007 or early 2008 he would be a main event superstar. He was going very well when he was drafted to Raw, but after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Johnny Nitro at Vengeance 2006, he hasn't been given much oppurtunities to become that main event superstar. He is not only the most athletic superstar in the WWE, but is a very good amatuer wrestler. Putting him back together with Charlie Haas was a very bad move. Shelton excelled as a singles superstar, and Charlie Haas was literally dead weight whe the Worlds Greatest Tag Team reunited. They had an alright match against the Hardys at ECW One Night Stand 2007, but they only got one title shot. Now Shelton has been moved to ECW. To me, the new ECW is a joke. It isn't ECW, and never will be. Shelton Benjamin should return back to Raw and leave ECW for good. ECW isn't a place for the newer superstars or mid-carders to make a name, the only title is the ECW Championship, but the Smackdown/ECW talent exchange was a good idea. Have a look at some of the matches he's competed in in the past few years, Money in the Bank (Wrestlemania 21), Money in the Bank (Wrestlemania 22), VS Rob Van Dam (Backlash 2006), VS Chris Jericho (Backlash 2005), VS Johnny Nitro VS Carlito (Vengeance 2006), and plenty more great matches I've missed out on which were great and Shelton proved his athleticism and in-ring ability. The WWE should be pushing Shelton, he's the brightest star they've got, not tools like Cody Rhodes and Festus. (Festus has the stupidest gimmick I've ever seen BTW). I don't know about you, but a lot of the recent bands (i'd say post 90s) have NO talent whatsoever. It's all computers. You hear them on CD's and they sound great, then when u r there live they sound like your old aunt June strangling her cat. Eg. My Chemical Romnac, The Veronicas, just to name two. what ever happened to the bands with great voices and instrumental prowess, like Guns N Roses, ACDC, Blink 182, Oasis, Nirvana etc.?

Pro Wrestling Hey, I'm Hbk_Hossack, which by my name implies im a wrestling fan. In this thread you will see about WWE V TNA, who will come out on top in the war and what defines fake... Pro Wrestling:What defines fake? First off, Pro Wrestling is entertainment. People say wrestling is [cabbage] because it is all fake and scripted, but it is more entertainment than sport. You watch movies, TV etc. that is all entertainment and scripted. Now to the "fake" part. Yes, wrestling is scripted, the matches are planned. But the bumps are real. Falling off a ladder, how can you "fake" that? Getting dropped from 6 feet in the air, how can you fake that as well? It's simple. You can't. It is real, it hurts. wtahc a wrestling match frame by frame, they do get hit, they do get slammed. But it is very obviou sometimes that they are not hitting their opponents (Five Knuckle Shuffle anyone?) but that is usually by the no-talent losers. Now let me ask you this question wrestling fans and non-wrestling fans:Would you like wrestling if it wasn't scripted? Imagine the matches we would see. The Great Khali would hold every title, because noone could beat him. People would just run away and be counted out in every match. we would never see some of the amazing moves of AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho, among many others. Put simply, they wouldn't be entertaining. And that's what Pro Wrestling is. Sports-ENTERTAINMENT. WWE VS TNA IMO, the WWE is only getting better now it has competition again. But TNA isn't the calibre of the WWE. WWE has a lot of history and a lot of well established superstars, like Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio etc. Not to take anything away from TNA, they have Sting, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Christian Cage,etc. But what do many of TNA's superstars have in common? They are former WWE superstars. Of the current TNA roster I can name (names in brackes are who they wrestled as in WWE)-Black Reign (Gold Dust, Dustin Rhodes), Booker T ( Booker T, King Booker), Christian Cage (Christian), Christy Hemme (Christy Hemme), Gail Kim (Gail Kim), Jackie Moore (Jacqueiline), Jeff Jarrett (Jeff Jarrett), Kevin Nas (Kevin Nash, Diesel), Kip James (Billy Gunn), Kurt Angle (Kurt Angle), Matt Morgan (Matt Morgan), Raven (Raven), Rhino (Rhyno), Rick Steiner (Rick Steiner), Scott Steiner (Scott Steiner), Sharmell (Sharmell), Sting (Sting), Team 3D, Brother Ray and Brother Devon (The Dudley boyz, Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von dudley) and Tomko (Tyson Tomko). That's almost half of the TNA Roster. And Abyss is a flat-out Mankind rip-off, but then again Umaga is a Samoa Joe rip-off. Now to the talent on the rosters. This is pretty closely matched, but the most talented on both companies has to be AJ Styles. Besides him, Christian Cage, Booker T, samoa Joe and LAX, not many other TNA superstars have the same talents as the WWE's superstars, Chris Jeirhco, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, jeff Hardy etc. But what's the difference? TNA are putting on good mathces. WWE is not, they are runnin stupid storylines and pushin all the wrong guys, reminds me of WCW. But i still think WWE will come out on top...eventually.

Dear Mods, i know i already posted this, but it was locked because i als said goodbye in the thread. So now this is only my thoughts. Although slightly updated. Where Runescapes going I think it's heading in a bad direction. Now, I'm going to compare Jagex right now to World Wrestling Entertainment. I have been an avid fan of the WWE since a young age, but like Jagex, it's moving away from it's longtime fans, or players in Jagex's case, to a younger demographic. For a good example of this, just look at Hotnswoggle. For you non-wrestling fans, he is a LEPRACHAUN (seriously Vince) who is Vicne McMahons, the owner of the WWE's, bastard son. Lately, Vince has been putting Hornswoggle in matches with regular sized wrestlers (hes a dwarf) like last week, Carlito. On the most recent Raw episode, Mr McMahon asked Hornswoggle to get him an ice-cream sandwich. And Hornswoggle wandered around the arena, until he found a door with a sign saying "Free Ice-Cream Sandwiches". He walked in and Carlito was there. Then, here is the ridiculous part. To escape Carlito, Hornswoggle picks up a spray paint can and sprays a black door on the wall. He then runs around Carlito, making a vroom sound and "jumps through the door". Carlito tries and hits the wall. This is sad for the WWe. I think this is what Jagex is slowly becoming. They are turning there game away from the hardcore fans to the "Miniclip generation". Then we get to summoning. I am pretty upset they revealed what the "big" update was so quickly. They should've stayedwith what they were doing and releasing little clues. And a new skill as the HUGE update? I don't classify skills as a HUGE update, i could be wrong, but still, a new skill isnt that big. Please, Jagex stop what you're doin and hwere ur goin. Runescape I still think Runescape is a great game, but the updates aren't what they used to be IMO. When i first started Runescape, I was excited about every update, because pretty much all were great. Now, Jagex has decided to get real tough on cheaters. The 3k stake limit is a real awful example of this. 3k? A cap on staking, not so bad. But 3K! I'm not an avid staker, but 3k every 15 minutes is ridiculous. They are losing more customers than they are eliminating RWT. And the Grand Exchange, an ok idea turned awful. I said in one of my posts how the Grand Exchanged wouldn't ruin merchanting, and it has. Not ruined it, but Jagex has now completely done a swerve on where everyone thought the Grand Exchange was going. Stopping the players from putting up items from 5% above or below the "Market Price". This was a really bad idea IMO. Players would've been able to benefit much more greatly from the GE much more if this limit was not there. Now with all the talk of Jagex delting the player trade option completely, i am disgusted. Runescape was a community, now it is moving further away from that. Jagex, i hope you see the error of your ways and return to the old days. Also, Runescape is becoming less and less original IMO. When i started I'd never played a game like it. But now it's just gettin things I've seen in other games before. Not saying this is all that bad, but i liked it when i could only do certain things on RS. Jagex Jagex, i have one thing to say to you. Listen to the veterans, the Tip.Iters, the well-thought ideas and the brilliarn plans. Turn your game back towards the 13+ age group it is intended for. Lots of players have great ideas, take a look.
