  1. I'm trying to teach myself C++ and learn more about programing/designing. Ya'll could be a huge help to me. Good idea.
  2. I didn't "lose" them in the sense that I left and whatever, but I have had some who, oh I don't know how to describe it. Its almost as if they changed their stance. They essentially left my life. Not me, I tried, but they weren't interested.
  3. Just started playing again for the first time in awhile, going to try and get 1100 or 1200 total. I am surprised at how much the price of resources has increased. For example, iron ore (over 200 now, doesn't seem like too long ago it was barely over 100). Its because members abused PVP drops and caused inflation :( Lol. Actually, its more then that. For one, there is far more money in the game then normal, from simple things like alching and monster drops, barrows, etc. PvP is a small factor. For another, there are FAR more people in the game with a lot of money then there were before, simply because people have had more years of play. Thus there is more demand, and although there are more skillers now, the number of people who want fast xp far outweigh the number of skillers. For example, I used up 50k astrals in a week or two stringing ammies. Think of how long those took skillers to make. Supply and demand, not PvP'ers, is the reason.
  4. 10/10 for epicness. How do you think they got the world in the first place? Crashed, of course. They aren't going to hop to find an open world with 200 people in the CC.
  5. Nice blogeh. BTW: ROL off rex is common. But its still a GF x.x
  6. you also have no use for prayer at higher levels really. Not hating, just stating a fact.
  7. Aww. Next time don't break rules?
  8. A fairly well known bird watcher, with numerous published photos. Sounds nothing like me ^.^ Also, a co-worker of mine did this and found out he is related to the inventor of the paper clip. We had a good laugh over that. (BTW, the paper clip wasn't invented in Norway.)
  9. Engineer. Either mechanical, or computer. However, I am a fairly good public speaker. I don't get nervous in front of people.
  10. SS on crush>whip+defender.
  11. Wait... you were thinking of me in the shower?    No. i was thinking of TIF. I thought of you when I was combing my hair.
  12. I've heard that a +6 boost is a 1/60 chance. Thus getting a +6 in the skill you want is what, 1/360? Plus, they can go down quite fast.
  13. Balmung. No question. Bring balmung+ee/SGS though if you have one of them though.
  14. Yes this is correct (except I believe Saradomin is law) but I didn't feel like typing out some long paragraph. Yes, Armadyl has never done anything evil according to the little information we have on him so far, but Saradomin is far from perfect. His followers teamed with those of Zamorak to hunt down the last powerful Zarosians and eliminate the Zarosian empire, and then practically erased it from history. I guess what I'm trying to say is Jagex's characters are not one-sided, and actually have some depth (well most of them do - I've been hearing some ugly things about Nomad's Requiem ;) ). So you can't really call a war between the Gods "black and white". I may be wrong, but unless there is some large plot in the works or a connection I have missed, the only solid connection to the GWD is the number 4. You got it wrong. Saradomin is the god of order, and Armadyl is the god of law.
  15. Yes, it's a problem, but it's your problem. You cannot seriously expect Jagex to design its quests based on the oldest possible hardware? My computer is not exactly a spring chicken and it wasn't an issue. Did you at least play in low detail? The idea that you need very high prayer, herblore or summoning has been dispelled by the many players who have beaten nomad with none of them. I *do* have those levels, but I also finished the quest on my third try with over 20 potions left over. So it wasn't exactly a huge issue. Then you are lacking in combat ability and perseverance. Both can be remedied, but not by just complaining. This doesn't require fast clicking, just smart clicking. Part of questing is solving puzzles, and that's what Nomad is: a combat puzzle. For crying out loud, if he kills you, Jagex gift-wraps a gravestone for you right next to a bank! If you aren't even willing to put forth some effort to solve this, then you haven't earned the rewards. Agreed. I know several people WITH overloads, maxed or near maxed melee, AND turmoil+soul split. It took some of them 5-10 times to beat nomad! So for those of you out there who whine about THE FIRST QUEST EVER to have a boss who is actually difficult to beat. Why can't we have one quest that is based around a hard boss fight? BTW, I used whip+ defender and AGS for specing, and his def really didn't seem that high.
  16. Just come out and say it already, and stop hiding behind some fake gilded refuge of "marriage is teh sacred!" Just say you hate and fear gay people, and would rather enjoy the continued practice of discrimination against them. You have no argument. Sorry, the Bible says so doesn't make it in a court of law in a secular nation. Tsk Tsk. So intolerant. Actually, no. For one, you went to public school obviously. If you really study history, you would know that America *Is* a Christian nation. One need read no further then the writings of our founding fathers to see that. Another thing, the connection of abortion and things which reduce pregnancy is really besides the point. The point is that murder is never justified. How any sane person can say that just because a baby is insides its mother's womb it isn't a person is besides me. Also, I do believe homosexuality is a morally reprehensible state, but I believe it is for people to choose themselves. As a matter of fact, in this sense I am an objectivist. I only accept guilt based on my moral code, and what it stems from. I believe others should do the same, as long as it is not harmful to the wellbeing of others. However, back on the topic. The U.S Constitution gives voters the right to decide certain things. Majority rule, as long as it does not harm others. The voters decided.
  17. I'll be really upset of NR was only GM quest of '10.
  18. He is *really* easy to beat with maxed melees and soul split. Honestly, all you do is stand there the WHOLE TIME and attack him. I never ran, or anything, even though I knew I could. I loved the fight, I thought it was fun. I have respect for those lower levels who finished the quest. For them, it would be really hard I can imagine.
  19. No. That cape is much better than a fire cape in many situations, including just about every situation where you need to protect pray constantly, or even if you're using piety/turmoil constantly. This is the way it should be. Different capes for different situations. You have your Skill capes to show off with, your fire cape for strength bonus, your ardy cape 3 for corpie, or anytime you need stab, and your IBN cape for prayer. Why people think that one armor/weapon/cape should be the best in every situation is beyond me. RS needs more options, were different capes have different bonuses. This is an excellent addition.
  20. LMAO! Just as I finished my shower today, I was thinking that racheya should be made super mod ^.^ someone ready my mind.
  21. Now, divine is superior, I admit. But at DKS maging, ely is better. I mean, if an obby shield suffices for me, then ely is only going to be better. Best-Divine All around for about equal amounts of DKS and arma, (Really only 2 places you need these shields) spectral and ely are close, but i'd get ely. Also, DFS has -10 mage and -5 range. Not much, but makes a difference.
  22. Hm, i just can't belive bots are unbeatable.. There must be an option, seeing that Jagex has the funds, and probobly the brains to do so.. but so do the bot dev's its an everlasting cycle. Now thats just wrong, Don't tell me an Student has got more funds than Jagex as an corp. They have got more money to upgrade their software than thebotter. Sigh.... Think about it. Jagex comes out with a new system to detect bots, and users find a way to beat that system. look at Microsoft. They are constantly updating their system, as people keep on beating it.
  23. Actually, since this is a discussion thread focusing on the whole Nomad's Requiem topic, they CAN complain, if they want. Too easy, and short, to be GM.
  24. TBH, the skill cape shouldn't be the "end game" cape, where it is the best cape, besides fire cape, to use. Now we have the ardy 3 cape for corpie, and this cape when we need prayer. The skill cape is now where it should be, to show off. BTW, the boss fight was quite easy. I had like 15 brews, 2 rocks, and 5 rests left over. Soul split really helps though, and I never moved except to find out which clone was really nomad. Also, I think zimberfizz is up to something with nomad.
