  1. Or he will trade us Onyx for his Blue Partyhat! I wouldn't put it past Jagex. I would lol.
  2. We will possibly get an onyx, but the WOM will steal it away from us.
  3. Blade you assume this will nerf onyx's. Im looking at one guy trying to trade divine for ely+onyx rings. Sell to me so I can do that lol.
  4. Only sold to a good friend for 4 hours lol :P
  5. I hope these new Elite TTs are dropped by some bosses which currently drop level 3, EG DKS, zil, etc. I was just hoping for upgraded TT's too. New 3a WIN Quest about the WOM, WIN Raiding upgrade MEH might be cool but who knows.
  6. Exactly the same. Slayer isn't always fun, but slaying is.
  7. Use rune defender or Blessed Spirit Shield over obby shield... atleast thats what i do. peace, vann BSS has bad range defense. I'd advise either DFS or Defender, although obby shield works.
  8. That's why I'm not logging out for a bit.
  9. Not a chance. What you think isn't relevant. I get 2-3 a day average, so 1 every ~100-200k slayer xp. It really depends on tasks, I've gotten 3 in 1 black demon task, and 2 in one Ice strke task, but i more consistently get 1 a Dark beast task. I've had ~15 effigies so far too.
  10. Or any monster. I always get D spear off to the side.
  11. The article in question no longer exists. Is it SOP to take down old Times, or did this happen due to wanting better standing? "JaGaX has said it would give the chance for people to advertise their websites(since I first logged in 3 years ago) but like houses little has been done about this, despite them openly accepting that Tip It is a fan site by requesting It not to release its Mornings end 2 guide." That is from 4 years ago. Jagex has been pushing around fan sites since (at least) then.
  12. Well there is a major difference between suing on basis of libel and suing (as you said) because of criticism. You were talking about that one blogger right?
  13. Long story short: if you manage to hit the "rare drop" section on the first imaginary wheel of drops, RoW increases the sizes of the "rare drop" sections on the second wheel while decreasing the "no drop" sections' sizes. The RoW is a mysterious thing, but I highly doubt that it actually removes any drops. Its effect is hard to test too due to the fact that it's all based on chances - to eliminate that variable you would need a HUGE sample, and even then it would not be 100% reliable. WRONG WRONG WRONG The Ring of Wealth The ring of wealth's magical power can sometimes have an effect on the drops that you receive from defeated NPCs. To understand how it works, we first need to define some terms. 100% drop - Most creatures have what is called a '100% drop' which they will drop every time they are defeated (e.g. bones or ashes). Main drop - This will be an item drawn from an NPC's 'drop table' based upon a random 'roll' (imagine a dice roll or roulette wheel). Drop table - This is a list of all items that an NPC could possibly drop. The percentage chance of receiving each item varies depending upon the item's relative value. Secondary drop - Some creatures also have a secondary drop. So far, this only consists of charms used in Summoning. Quest drops - in some instances, an NPC will drop a quest-specific item (e.g. the unique bones required for the Rag and Bone Man or Fur 'n' Seek quests). On most NPCs' drop tables, there is a small chance that instead of receiving an item from its own drop table, you will instead get a roll again on the 'rare drop table'. The rare drop table contains some of the more exclusive items in the game, including, but not limited to, dragon items, certain rune items, shield halves, key parts and uncut gems. The rare table also contains 'empty slots' - the end result of landing on these empty slots is often referred to as receiving 'no drop' or 'bone drop'. We keep these slots empty for any future drops that we want to add to this table. The rare drop table is shared between a variety of NPCs - e.g. goblins, fire giants, most Slayer creatures. A good way to tell is that if an NPC is known to drop a half key, then it will drop other items from the rare drop table. There are, however, certain very rare drops that are not on the rare drop table, because they are specific to certain NPCs or NPC types (e.g. the draconic visage is only ever dropped by dragons; godsword pieces only by the God Wars Dungeon bosses) and it would not make sense for these items to be dropped by, say, a fire giant. The ring of wealth comes into play whenever you are rolling on the rare drop table, its ability effectively removing most of the empty slots, drastically increasing your chances of receiving an item from the rare drop table. The actual percentage increase differs between NPCs. Adventurers who make regular use of a ring of wealth should find that they receive fewer 'no drops' than adventurers who do not, and, therefore, receive more rare drops and, in the long run, gain more wealth. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/magic_non_combat_magic Only influences things such as shield left half, half keys, gems, etc. Not specialized drops, such as whips, SOL, d boots, etc.
  14. It was illogical, unfair to those without boots piled up, brought a lot of money in the game which due to other peoples panic buying will cause inflation. Yet, all of this could have easily been avoided simply by removing the price cap on Boots in the ge, yet the developers behind this update fail to understand the sheer stupidity of this update, and despite MANY people giving just reasoning and present valid points, they still hold their ground with statistics that seem highly unlikely and haven't been able to yet provide anything even close to a logical reason to raising the alch value and price of these boots to the amount they did. They feel this update was good and logical, when it wasn't even close to either. Do you honestly believe that Jagex doesn't put any consideration into updates like this? Yes, they knew how many players would make instant cash from the boots. Yes, they knew that it could unbalance the game. Know what? They made the change anyway. They did this after considering all aspects of it. I can understand/respect that you disagree with the rationale. Ah well, that's bound to happen. After all, we've all got our own opinions. Shouldn't they at least provide a good, solid reason as to why the rock climbing boots change is a 'better' solution compared to removing price cap on the old boots? It's this kind of explanation "We knew how many players would make instant cash from the boots. Yes, We knew that it could unbalance the game. We did this after considering all aspects of it." that I detest the most, because it barely clears the doubt of any player. No one is asking for an account of every content developers' train of thought for every single update, and I'd have thought that answering to this controversial update was the minimal they could do. Either show us the light on that 'all aspects' you talk about, or just apologise for the overlook. <_< You honestly need a reason why removing the price cap is a stupid idea? Well ok. Hmm, let's see, could it possibly be because you could buy them from the sherpa and then turn around and sell them on the G.E. for way more if the price were allowed to rise above the cap allowing for a brand new level of convenience in RWT? No that couldn't possibly be it right, because I mean no one would ever think of that. Look at that, more proof Jagex is smarter than the average player. Danq, your post is exactly how I feel about things. Jagex has made a game that offers more that ANY other game out there. There are hours upon hours of playable content with new content being added every couple weeks. While I think some of Jagex's decisions have been questionable the fact remains that despite complaints they have one of the largest player and fanbases ever. They built a great game, and though every single update may not be great, they continue releasing enjoyable content. The problem to me lies in the immaturity of the players in honestly believing that they know better. Players don't seem to realize that they have no idea what future releases might have impacted upon their decisions in the way they do things, or of the possible ramifications of doing them differently. It's just proved by people suggesting removing the price cap on an item you can buy for 12 gp from an NPC. You want to talk about arrogance and idiocy, well there it is. You, unlike Danz, ARE an idiot. If climbing boots got above a certain point in GE price, people would start running climbers, just as they do B staffs and other items buyable from shops. Go take a class in economics, and learn about supply and demand before you come in here trying to be a smart ass. RWT changed forms, its no longer so much trading gold from account to account, but selling rares for market price for cash IRl, buying junk, etc.
  15. Although I would agree with your 2nd part, there is one main difference I should have mentioned: If there was only 1 restaurant in town, where the food was previously excellent, and then all of a sudden the quality of the food goes down down down, for no reason, those people would have a reason to protest.
  16. That is the exact problem. You are thinking of nobody but yourself and if that is how you think, you are no better than how you perceive them. You not having the willpower and strength to change game and quit is your problem and not theirs, if anything, it shows that they have made a game which has enough lasting appeal to do that. You say they have earned no respect, but I have shown example reasons in which they do, and you have the tenacity to outright ignore them and do exactly what I would hope somebody of your age would be able to do, and that is to think. And at least one thing they have done for you is create this game, and I can say without a doubt, at one time or another you enjoyed the game. You assume their earning your respect is tantamount to their earning the respect of everybody. Logical fallacy. You also attack Lep instead of his argument, another fallacy. Right now, I COULD say you are a [bleep]ing idiot, and just end it there, but that lowers me to your level. They created the game to make money, just as Subway, where I will take my lunch later doesn't create my Black Forest ham sub for my enjoyment, but rather to make money. It needs to taste good or I won't come back. If Jagex doesn't have a fun game, then people won't stay as often.
  17. Of course they are good coders and whatnot, but they're really poor in dealing with their community. They are so ignorant and arrogant from time to time. They're not nearly as great community-wise as, let's say, Bungie or Valve. +1. Its not so much I wish for them to admit they made a mistake, we can already see that. Its more that Jagex is soooo out of touch. 6k xp is a "hefty" amount of xp? I don't think so. Level 90 combat is "high" level? Hardly. MA is a great mini game? Total BS.
  18. Ye I'd try to get you killed if I saw you at ISW without fire cape :P I have some friends who do the same.
  19. Because the problem more often is that the item CAN'T be bought for max, rather then it costs too much. Sometimes, things like runes are hard to DIY in bulk for fire surge/cog.
  20. Zaaps speaks the truth. If you get the tele crystal from within the light, you can tele right into the temple.
  21. Why the hell would he get rid of THE best spec weapon for slayer to get a BAD shield for slayer.
  22. Super attack pots are bad xp/gp TBH. Try prayer pots, or super restores, those are normally decent GP/XP.
  23. I thought you wanted criticism...
