  1. Although not strictly RS, I think this picture aptly sums up what is going on in RuneScape right now. Mods go ahead and move if you don't this belongs here, but I think it should :P
  2. Because seeing ads like this is SOO much better.
  3. Ye, thats what I tell people about ISW, half shields and d meds are no where near as rare there.
  4. I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about, and it infuriates me to no end when people assume that tip.it sucks up to Jagex. The rules here have always been that we respect the Runescape rules and will remove anything that violates them, yet we get called out for sucking up to them because of this list? We have taken no hit in revenue by the advert change so it would have been idiotic not to do it. But yet somehow we are still sucking up? There is a huge difference between being smart and respectful and what we always seem to get accused of. *end of rant* OT: It's nice to know we are platinum now, I don't think we were informed of this (Or at least admins haven't told us), and it should give us a nice little bit of advertising. Going out of our way to remove other game adds. Removing posts talking about the RS Cache even when there is currently no rule against it. ETC. Ye I say you kiss some pretty big ass. And I wouldn't mind it so much, if we actually GOT something out of it. Cowman, revenue income is irrelevant here. The point is we are going out of our way to please Jagex, when we receive nothing in return. Where is any exclusive content, user input, etc.? There is none. Sure, we are mentioned on the RSOF, and our name isn't filtered in game, but so what?
  5. More kissing ass. WTF is the problem with other game ads? Honestly, I'd rather Tip.it were on jagex's BLACK list.
  6. Gratz on prayer, its worth it. GJ bacon. You going for cr or cls?
  7. I'm not saying it needs to be worth 10's of millions, just useful and worth something.
  8. You assumed I meant shop as in shop sell value. I also meant the price the shop used to sell climbers for.
  9. actually, granite, but noone banked granite before the update. That was a terrible update aswell(people mining for 2.5m junk an hour). hobgoblin, you can have many cash piles and can store cash in alchable items like dragon meds etc. True, but IIRC granite was terribly under priced before.
  10. I'm not sure what manual intervention on the exchange has to do with alchemy values being tied to shop prices. It has everything to do with it. The high alch -> shop price ratio works fine UNTIL 1 or more factors decided upon before the item was first released is changed, without changing the others. Lets use barrelchest anchor as an item, but assume you can sell to shop. Say you could get multiple BCA, and they cost 100k each. They alch for 75k, and the shop buy price is 50k. Now lets say Jagex changes the price to buy these items to 25k. You buy, alch, and profit. In order to prevent this, Jagex would either need to change the alch price and shop price, or prevent you from selling/alching this item. If they didn't change how the shop-> high alch ratio worked, or how the item interacts with these then the economy would be messed up. The opposite happened here, although the same principle. A low value item was inflated, along with its shop and alch price, several thousand percent. Although you can no longer buy new items for the same old price, the item is now worth far far more. Jagex should have fixed how this item was sold to stores, alched, or the price of both of these. Same basic principle. When one of these factors is changed (Buy price, alch price, shop price, and the item in game already) The others should be as well. Essentially, a low priced item shouldn't suddenly be given a high alch and shop price. This wouldn't have been a problem, or as much of one, if Jagex had made the price more reasonable. 5k maybe, 10k MAX, with a 2-3k alch price at the MOST. Changing a ~100 GP item into a ~45k item isn't right. Not to mention the very simple fact that Jagex can make exceptions to the store:high alch ratio.
  11. There are sooo few high level updates its laughable. How about high level slayer monsters. 93 isn't high. And skilling isn't supposed to make as much as MH. There is no risk in skilling. Around 1.350.000 people have ranked slayer wich is level 30+ (?). Lets make this 100% of the entire runescape slayer population (wich actualy has more members because everyone with 29 or below is not counted). 22575 people have level 93 slayer or above. (22575 / 1.350.000) x 100 = 1.67% --> This means only 1.67% of the runescape slayer population would have acces to that 93 slayer monster, dont you think that is a little bit ridiculous? You are saying that 93 slayer isn't high, so what do you consider high? level 99? not even 1% of the population has level 99 slayer ((10227/1.350.000)x100=0.76%). The amount of people that has 93 slayer or even 99 slayer is so small compared to the total amount of players that it's logical there is 'not enough' 'high level' content. What is the use for Jagex to release 'high level' content if only 1% of the slayer population (and even less of the entire members population) can enjoy it. Most of the p2p players are not even close. I'm not saying that Jagex should not release high level content, but the problem is that it are the high level players who have united here on tip.it forums so it seems there are loads of people who want high level content. The fact is that you are only a very very small % of the entire rs population. You should not forget that. The problem is LOW level members like you get most of the updates. The point isn't that few people have high slayer, its that there is NO content for the few who do.
  12. Name the last item that got changed by over 5000% and THEN you can say that it worked well for other items. This is the first time this has happened. Even vials were changed far less.

  14. TIF used to have better staff. Now the only thing they have over Rune HQ is a better looking forum.
  15. Well true. However, if both are rare, it is still a "FML" in a way, in that you got something very rare, but quite worthless. EG, .2% chance for whip drop from abby demon, .05% chance drop of D spear. (Made up number) So d spear is 4x as rare as whip. If you get d spear, you know you were"lucky" but you still go a bad drop. My point isn't that it "could have been" a whip, its more that drops which are so rare should actually be worth something.
  16. Used to have 100, now I had like19. Meh free 850k is still very nice.
  17. This topic brought me terrible luck. 2 d spears this DKS trip, and nothing else good.
  18. Well, ye that would be a problem I suppose. If only we could make d spears worth something though...
  19. Its more about turning drops which are "FML" now into "WOOOO!" Then anything. And effigies aren't rare enough. It would be something more common then visage, but far rarer then a whip for instance.
  20. A possibility, however I think most people believe the DWH should be a boss or slayer drop.
  21. With the advent of new dragon drops, such as the dragon medium helm, dragon spear, and shield left half, a new reason to kill certain monsters was on. I remember reading guides telling that one of the reasons that earth warriors were decent to train on was the fact that they had the chance to drop the shield left half. These drops were worth quite a bit. However, most of these items are now under 100k, most selling at or barely above max. Does anyone else think that we need some "very" rare drops added to the drop table of a wide variety of monsters? I'm not talking about rare like effigies, but more rare like an abby head, or 1 in thousands of a chance to drop. Nothing game changing, but a drop which, at bosses or slayer, would make so go "Heck YES!!!!!!" instead of "FML D spear..." Other "rare" drops which could be replaced or upgraded would be 100 silver ore, 150 steel arrows, R2H, 42 Rune arrows, 67 nats, and 45 laws.
  22. Protip - Be in room when you're killing corp  Was a good friends cc, and I was just messing around since I just got 'lixar. Had no food, just decided to stay. OFC I die. GF all that lsp.
  23. Ideas for drops: New belt slot and belt drops Holy ring (Which can be imbued) +4 prayer and +1 in all defense stats. Higher level capes. Dragon defender parts (Maybe) which also would be buyable from a shop for a high price.
  24. Yes, it is time. Its been time for a very long time.
