Blizzard to require real names for forums
I'm for more accountability. I just don't think this is a good way to do it. Also, felix, those people CHOOSE to do so, and I doubt many post their full name. Requiring everyone to do so would be different. On a more humorous note, imagine something like this: "OMG Craig, guess what, Zezima goes to Cal-tech! That's where I'm gona go now!!! I wana meet him. Maybe I can be in this room!"

Blizzard to require real names for forums
Your debit card. I kind of like the idea, an MMO isn't a private thing it's a PUBLIC thing. The internet is public and if you can't handle that, it's tough. If you don't want people to know who you really are when you spam, the solution is simply not to spam. I would like that to come to the RS forums. It's not like they'd put your full name in view, it'd be just used for authentication I'd say. At least that's how I'd prefer to have it. No, actually they would require you to post under your name, for all to see.

Blizzard to require real names for forums
A sports team is a PUBLIC figure. A virtual game is a PRIVATE pass time. That is one reason. Another is future schooling/employment. Now a days, many different people conduct searches to find out information about prospective students or employees. Finding out one is a gamer could hurt your chances, depending on where you work. The same is true for posting pictures on Face book, EG post pictures of you being drunk wouldn't exactly impress a future employer. Not to mention, within 10 minutes I found the facebook page, phone number, address, and email address of Timmy's Grandmother, for those of you who remember "TImmy gets hacked" on the news. It could ruin someones day, or even life. Internet pranksters are many, and not all are harmless.

Blizzard to require real names for forums
Recently, in an attempt to stop trolling, flame wars, etc, blizzard has started a move to require all users on their forums to use their real names, first and last. What would this do to the RSOF? Would it hurt, or help? Personally, due to my real life job and hope for future employment I would be against it. But what do you think? http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2366160,00.asp Another article told of how a blizzard employee, to prove nay sayers wrong, posted his real name. Within minutes, people gained his address, and phone number. It was a disaster. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/10543100.stm Another article.

The grand exchange
I'd prefer more a way of seeing what offers are in at a time, easier to buy and sell if you know what others are offering.

What To Do
Know how it is. I've been almost kicked out twice, because I don't "conform" to the same believes. The difference, I can afford to live alone, got a job and all, I just don't want to. I know how it is man.

So you say. That is how you play, but not most people. As I said before, the main problem with the article is its completely based on assumptions, and those are wrong for many people. Likewise your criticism is based on an assumption. Have you ever fooled around with a good friend doing something almost entirely pointless? I haven't done it for a long time, but it was probably the most entertaining few hours of my Runescape life when I last did it. You don't have to be a particular kind of aimless player to enjoy being able to step back from it all once in a while and just mess around and it is for that reason that I actually quite enjoyed the article. Can you actually prove, any more than the author, that either one of you is right or wrong? (This isn't meant to sound like a personal attack by the way, I'm just playing devil's advocate for a moment!) It is wrong to assume that nobody plays for fun anymore - I certainly wouldn't still be playing if it didn't bring some modicum of enjoyment, but at the same time the basic point of the article seems solidly based on firm logic. Actually mine isn't. I never said that how I play was how others should, or that others didn't have fun playing how I do. Show me one assumption in my statement. I've played my fair of hide 'n' seek, gone to the KQ, barrows, etc. I do these for fun, nothing else. That is a HUGE assumption. The article would have been far better if instead the author had as his thesis something along the lines of "The beauty of RuneScape is that there is no right or wrong way to play the game, within the rules. One can sit around chatting, play hide 'n' seek with friends, or try and make as much money as they can. The beauty of this game is in the different paths we all take, whether it is going for an incredibly rare untrimmed cape, or trying to make 300m for that GWD set. The beauty is in deciding how to spend your hard earn cash, or to beg at the GE for cash, if you so please. The beauty is in the freedom to do what you want, when you want, with those who, although virtual characters in a virtual world, may really be amazing friends"

Yes, because we REALLY want an Item that's coming INTO the game to rise to the value of Party Hats with terrible stats compared to armors 1/10th its cost. For once I wish players wouldn't think about money only, and has there been any update on Prayer Armor from Cache? Whats the matter with very expensive stuff? Its to show off, not for stats. Well climbing boots were changed because they were too powerfull compared to their counterpart stat-boots. 3rd Age doesnt give THAT good bonuses, so its only logical to increase the amount of them ingame or change the price so they are on par with the other items with equal bonuses. Climbers were not rare, 3A is. That argument isn't valid in this case, as it is like comparing how filling cavier is to how filling a hamburger is. The hamburger meal is more filling, but isn't as "high quality".

My advice, unless you intend to try and flip it, ride out the market with it.

Ye, because unlike onyx, blood tally was overpriced. For the amount of time it takes to get an onyx, it isn't overpriced at 60-80m. In the ~12 hours I would need to get the tokul for one, I could make 90m+ DKsing.

I call photoshopz. BTW, Sell me one? Getting 99 slayer today and that'll go nice with my cape.- 3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
The items nerfed had no intrinsic value, only fiat. Onyx, on the other hand, is quite useful, fury, onyx ring (I) especially.- Solo DK's Tribrid
This was the gear I used before I had OVS. It should last you around 100 kills, if you are good at DKSing. - Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
