  1. Don't think anyone said otherwise, Mister straw man. Just think people are complaining that Jagex didn't do what they said. There is a difference between a prediction, what the BTS is, and a promise. Our final update this month starts with a rework of our old treasure trails. Looks like they said TTs were coming out, no? Granted WE CAN UNDERSTAND DELAYS. We are simply not kissing ass by being all kind and sympathetic. Jagex didn't fulfill what they, and we wanted, and what they said. They said that they were coming out, yes, but the BTS isn't a guarantee. It isn't a promise, it's a prediction. They expected it to be coming out this week, but there was a delay so it couldn't. It's not the end of the world. If you can understand that they have delays, and still decide to be awkward and whiny about things, then it's just being spoilt and childish. That's what so many people are like. "WAAAAAAHHHH I DON'T HAVE NEW SHINY THINGS TO CLIICCCCCK! JAGEX!! YOU PROMIIIIISED!" It's not like they said that they're not doing them at all. They're just being postponed a week, they're still fulfilling what they said - just a week later. Whats your point? You and Danz keep on using a straw man.

  4. I don't doubt that at all. Hell, maybe people who buys partyhats to hoard uses real cash... Quite sure people buy party hats for cash, but seeing as they are all over a hundred (up to 600-800 for blue) of dollars, well...
  5. Its perfectly fine just the way it is TYVM.
  6. Something like multiple times faster
  7. Are you [bleep]ing thick or what? I need to know what's going on with bots because bots actually impact my game whether I bot or not. I need to know what Jagex is doing to crack down/be lenient towards bots, because prices rise/fall accordingly. I know how to share my account, does that mean I am an account sharer? I know how to abuse bugs, does that mean I am a bug abuser? Don't feed the trolls Bit of an overreaction there bladewing, really no need to be so defensive. I have to agree, I don't doubt there are a fair amount of users here who do commonly use bots. You used to bot. [hide]ye, I'd do the same if I got accused of botting w/ no proof or anything.[/hide]
  8. Admission to visiting cheating websites is basically an admission of cheating. Nobody is going to believe that "I was just looking" excuse. Cheaters are abound everywhere. Think sharkbrewing. Wrong. I don't give a damn if someone thinks I'm cheating. I know I'm not, and unless you can prove otherwise, you can't say someone is. I mean, admission to knowing how to hotwire a car is far different then being a car thief, and I could go on and on. Also, how is sharkbrewing cheating?
  9. Gratz! That was a fairly fast floor too. Timed, it was 38 mins.
  10. Ye, thats wrong.
  11. See it this wayy. You put offer in for max for a divine sigil, g.e updates the sigil loses a few hundred gp value. Now you have a timerglass on your sigil offer. Your offer for the sigil is valid so long as you have that timerglass on. Once the timerglass gets removed, you have to abort your offer as other max offers will preceed yours. Don't think so. I remember Master_Smither sniping either a divine or an ely after his offer had been "hourglassed" for some time. He also got back 14m gp IIRC.
  12. I browse a well known "did someone say cheating" website. Doesn't mean I RWT, but it helps to know what things are worth street. If you know how much street items sell for for IRL cash, its quite easy to convert street price. EG: White phat sells for market price+250 bucks for example. Purple sells for 125 bucks. Thus, white has 2x the street price of purple, with the GE price being taken into account. Since there are few items, if any, which are used to upgrade or downgrade phats, its much easier to do it this way, and more accurate. If those prices are accurate, someone with a large amount of GP can make a ridiculous amount of $ with little effort. Buy white phat: $250 Trade white phat for red + green Trade red for purple + green Trade 2 greens for 3+ purples Sell 4 purples: $500 Probably $250 for about 2 hours of effort. They aren't. However, I do know of people who merchent items to sell. They've cleared THOUSANDS of dollars. White is actually ~350 bucks.
  13. If you were the boss of a major corporation and one of your employees accidentally made the company lose $90,000, would you say, "Oh don't worry about it, you're only human-- I understand!" Mistakes happen. What I'm trying to say is it's not their fault it's happened... They met the deadline just something else failed. No, it is certainly their fault, it may be forgivable, not a problem, insignificant, but it was their fault. It's their fault they didn't check everything. I'm cool with waiting a week, but don't start saying that it wasn't their fault. At the end of the day, It's a game. Who cares? For people that say: 'Me, I pay money.. etc etc.." Stop paying money then. I tire of that "it's just a game/it's just pixels" argument. No, it's more than that for many people. RS is a hobby for most people who post on this site. [/hide] Yes I understand that, I've been playing the game for 7 years now, It's very much a hobby of mine; But when people rage and complain about it, it a sad sight to see. What I'm trying to say is, You go create a game and see what it's like. "Customer-no service, my microwave that I just bought and which was supposed to be under warranty stopped working" "Its just a microwave, who cares? Go use your oven" In other words, it can be accepted that errors and problems occur, but, as a customer of any business, if my expectations aren't met, or promises aren't met, I receiver the right to [bleep] at said business. Doesn't mean I'll leave them, or don't understand. It just means that I'll complain. Heck, if my fries are cold and soggy at McDonalds, I take them back.

  15. It's much more like Tears of Guthix. Both slayer xp and prayer xp are pretty valuable. Be grateful that this is a repeatable reward at all. Its not much of either xp.
  16. Your right, I dont have that money to work with this anymore. I chose to improve my skills instead of my bank and appearance, thats why I sold my partyhat. If you want to continue you can pm me, but it seems like the topic questions have been answered. Yeah I personally never saw a point in investing in rares, except for flipping it maybe if you can. I usually put my money into skilling and useful items. I agree, what's the point of making tens or hundreds of millions while logged out. Whats the point of play rs? Enjoyment. Some people enjoy improving bank, others stats, others have fun just messing around in CW or Duel arena, or a lot of other things. Thats part of the beauty of RS, there is no right or wrong reason to play (outside of extreme addiction)
  17. Why? I can understand both parties. It was supposed to come out today, it didn't. Not a huge deal, but they also didn't do what they said they would. Some people seem to think that saying something negative is always bad. Criticism doesn't always need to be constructive. If you don't do what you say you will do, then expect to take grieve from it.
  18. You have any articles of those you could write? I'd like to read those, too. Knock knock... Yup. Its a WIP.
  19. Idiots will move on when it becomes something other then a hat with a big price tag. If you have the means, i'm not saying not to buy one. By all means do what you want, its your money Im saying partyhats would crash in price if people wanted them for looks and not for street value. "IF" But they do have street, so that argument is moot.
  20. You cant seriously believe a normal person would be willing to pay 1.5 billion gp for a bloody hat, do you? Come on... Ye I can. I'd do it.
  21. Impossible to say. Because atm there is no medium item for a trade from divine to phat, a divine is either = to yellow or = to purple. Which means, those who only have a divine and want to convert it into a phat can, depending on luck, either lose a huge amount of purchase power or gain a huge amount of purchase power. My belief is that Divine is still between a yellow and a purple, and that the new 3a items will fill in as the new medium item for these trades to go through. Then we can actually get a better read on how much a phat/divine actually cost. Used to be A/W was yellow. Now its green, it seems. reverse that. Was green, now its yellow.
  22. Historical articles. Opinion articles. Debate articles. (Defending or opposing an update/etc) Those are what I'd like to see. No more trite articles about recent updates.
  23. Oh there are many possible topics still to chose from: Heck, a historical article, covering topics or even a series as vast as the Mahjarat to as small as the impact of humidfy being made to moisten clay, and how similar slight adjustments to the game can drastically change how people train and play are just 2 ideas I though of within 5 minutes. Granted, different authors will find different topics interesting. Maybe its time to push for more guest articles, or bring new blood into the Times. Hey, we could even work with another fan site to publish a special feature article on the multi-forum user, or something similar. BTW: Its not anything personal against the authors. However, one shouldn't exist all criticism to be constructive. There is always room for some complaining when expectations aren't meet.
