  1. By what right do you have claim to a spot? To answer the question, non its a free spot for anyone to join in. Seriously the only animosity towards crashers that I would agree with would be if you owned the spot, which you dont. Therefor them investing more time and money should give them the chance for more profit. (this is coming from an average leveled noob that they could crash even if ive already taken a 3rd of its health before they got there) It annoys me when people do this. You have a somewhat valid point, but because you have convinced yourself that you are 100% right, you are overlooking a lot. I think what Dark Aura was saying, is that anyone who is soloing has a choice of ANY world. Yet they would intentionally go to a world designed for teaming and splitting loot, just because they can. It is totally pointless to choose a lootshare world, but they do it anyway just to make lower levels leave. Any person that does that is pathetic, and i would agree with Dark in saying the world would be a better place without them. I know it is a little extreme to say that, but i feel it is a good representation of what someone is truly like when they are given power and, to quote muggiwhplar, freedom of consequences. If anyone were to act like that in any real life situations, they would get beaten repeatedly. Without a doubt. Read what I said, I do it. I "crash" the bathroom on occasion, and sometimes I get crashed.
  2. I can guarantee you that they do. Introduce me to them sometime, that's all I'm going to say on this topic. Go to rogues den and ask who is having fun and enjoying themselves. I would bet that not all of them will be. The same if you asked people the same question to people who are firemaking or fletching. They may not be having fun at that moment. But why don't you ask them if they have ever had fun playing this game. People do things not because it is fun at that instant, but because it will be fun later, or was fun before. Yes, I hate firemaking, it is not fun. But EE was well worth it, and thus, I did have fun, just not lighting logs. No one starts playing runescape and says "This is the most boring thing ever, I think I will come back here and play for the next 3 and 1/2 years, just so I can gripe and whine while I get 99 cooking, fletching, woodcutting, and firemaking." A girl in my clan got 99 cooking at rogues den a bit ago. She didn't have fun doing it, I can guarantee that. I was a primary conversation partner with her via cc while she was roasting sharks. But now she has this cool new cape, and the ability to make a host of new outfits with it. (I guess somebody has to like that color purple, even if I don't) That is how she had fun. Just because someone is not having fun at that time does not mean they do not have fun playing Runescape. No one plays Runescape and does not have fun. OT: For the first article, it makes sense, but I do not see an easy fix. I do not see a way that Jagex can make skilling earn anything on par with MHing without causing huge inflation (while mining, you uncover a ancient artifact, swap it in at edge bank to Mandrith for money) Since most people find that having large amounts of money is far preferable to being permanently broke, quite a few people train skills in fast manners in order to finish quickly and get to making lots of money. How can you say that no one players runescape and does not have fun when in your statement you say you did not have fun while firemaking? That is the point of the whole article I think. People are willing to play a game where they are not having fun to have something small such as a cape at the end. Is it really worth it to spend hours of boredom for a pixelated item such as that, when you can be having much more fun going to a TET event for example? Ye gods, is it that hard? He said people don't play RuneScape if they NEVER have fun. Is training slayer 100% fun? NO! Is slaying fun? YES.
  3. If you are rushing, and dying, you are doing something very very wrong.
  4. I Suggest you start bringing that crystal chime to corp with you and spec with it, it will lessen his defense over 9000%. But seriously, nice guide. Knew all except the bit about randoms and all. BTW, what teams like divine+LBS? Should I bring it as a rule? Two more things to add. 1.) Always have your PIN entered 2.) Set spawn point to Edge, after Nomad's Requiem.
  5. So now that you know, what else is there to discuss? Everyone's basically saying the same thing: Infinity hats are more expensive because they're much harder to get. Should I make a thread comparing 3rd age coif to Armadyl helm? "Why would anyone buy a 3rd age coif?!1?! The stats are worse and it costs so much more! doesn't make senseuhfrquiwerui[bleep]7rtf794bgtierh" This. Farseer where you don't need offense stats (not pvp, or hybriding something) Mainly bursting lobs, etc Ah where you need the melee stats that you'd lose with farseer. Infinity where you want to look leet, or don't want something that degrades, but which doesn't have negative melees. I don't see what there is to discuss.
  6. Wow, Red Phats. I wonder what Frost/Mith goes for. And if you got a Red Hat, you could downgrade to Green or even Yellow and then trade that for Divine. It would be a free whatever it takes to upgrade Yellow/Green to Red. It's actually only Steels and Irons that are that high, apparently. I would trade for divine simply because I could not afford the shield and a Phat lol PM me if you snipe one LoL, I'd take you up on that. And it really depends on how rare they really are, I've seen very few compared to the other masks.
  7. You don't risk Rapier at DK's if you don't wear a fury or high level shield (you save Barrows top and bottom and Rapier). If you really need to, I'd switch to a range top instead of melee top and that gives you an extra save space. I think it's worth it. Also, killing supreme in ~10 hits isn't very good, lol. Are you using DDS specs? I usually only take 2-3 DDS specs & 4-5 hits with rapier. If my spec bar is full sometimes I only need 1-2 rapier hits CLS isn't really for pking Having a divine doesn't exclude you from getting a maul... maul is still useful for TD's, WF's, PvP, bunch of other things. In a day and age with Yaks and SS, divine isn't really as important anymore in DPS-focused situations I would just get CLS... it's not "terrible". You seem like you don't really need rapier or maul. Killing supreme quickly only matters when you have a high (1500+) pop world. And I do risk it since I'm using full bandos, v helm, fury, divine, etc. On a 1150-1200 pop world, I kill supreme, and get in 3 shots at prime before rex spawns. I'd go for the faster kills/hr, and shorter trips If I were able to get in B2B trips, but IRL prevents that. So I take the ~5 overload, 120 kill trip to the slightly faster, but fewer kills/day trip. In my case, I have to lose some efficiency in order to make more total GP in the 1 trip I get. I've fought both CR and CLS, and I'd have to say CLS is defiantly harder to beat, if just rune fighting.
  8. Geez, at first I was all for rapier. Know I can't decide based on these reasons: Premise: Crapier is ALWAYS better then whip, but CLS is SOMETIMES far better then whip, but not always better then CRAPIER when CLS>Whip. 1.) I have divine (so no maul) 2.) I doubt I'd use CRapier at DKS, since I solo, and I'd not want to risk it, and whip already downs sup in ~11 hits average. 3.) I do a lot of TDS, and I'd use CLS on team things with my clan. 4.) PvP, CLS and Crapier are too different ways of PKing. CLS depends on more on a high hit (500) to down someone, and using veng (like GS pking) While CRapier is more like whip PKing, depending on comboing, and winning DMS. 5.) I already have 99 slayer. So, I can't make up my mind, but I'm still leaning towards rapier.
  9. After a weekend of thought, I know view crashing like this: We have 1 and a half baths in our house. I needed to shower, my sisters needed to brush their teeth and get ready for bed. Instead of waiting for an hour for them to finish whatever girls do before bed, I simply "crashed" them (Not flaming, trolling, or calling noobs) and had them switch the 15 steps to our other bathroom. It probably took them about the same amount of time as it takes someone else to hop.
  10. I saw another offer on purple for only 895m. I don't think 1B is considered a "steal" like you guys said. Depends on the junk, TBH.
  11. No Herblore. Herblore is extremely fast if you have the money. You aren't taking into account the time used to make the money, although even so herb is still fast.
  12. Runecrafting or Slayer, but I'd say RC, since it is far more repetitive. However, botting RC is far easier, and I know people do it, so I'd say slayer, as far as highscores and respect go. I think that, if a player has turm/best gear/x pots/cannon/titan that slayer is faster, however most slayers don't have these.
  13. In other words, what is proper in RuneScape is as subjective as in real life. I personally would consider myself as being rude if I didn't hold open a door for a lady, but I understand why others don't. I can't judge others. Some crash to be [wagon], although I don't believe the majority do. Personally, I use 2 TD spawns. Its easier for me to make you leave the middle TD and move over one so that we can both kill then for me too keep hopping, same as crashing solo DKS'ers on a LS world with a team.
  14. Ye, It looks like a steal, just most people with 1b cash probably would try to buy a better party hat then a purple (EG: Upgrading yellow to red, etc)
  15. Yes you can, it is called death. But can you log back in? Too many server issues. This quote is full of win, adding some much needed humor to an otherwise rather serious, and heated (Rightfully so) thread. I am Ray William Johnson, and I approve this message.
  16. Nice 76king, cant pk? *points to empty target bar* Can't prove it, not that I need to prove anything to bacon, but you can also see that I typed in PIN. He didn't have DDS, so we did dscimmy dm. I won, banked for food, and then PCed. Also note, you get [cabbage] loot off people on your friends list, so IDK why you would trick with someone on it anyways. Lemme go get a targ, lose him, then kill a friend, brb, nice trick. http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/204/100806153443.png[/ig] Star hunters wat... As I said, I don't need to prove anything to you. Believe or not, I'm not going to vid everything I do to prove I what I did or did not do. Frankly, what you, and even most of RS think, is rather irrelevant. But believe me, there are far more effective ways of making GP then PvP.

  19. I just use them since I'd rather be planing SC then training con or smithing.
  20. I'm doing several larges a day w/ DGE. I'll invite you maor.
  21. Danz, Real life=//= Online. the Internet just pretends to be a community, unlike real life. Why do you think so many comments on internet newspapers are so much more vulgar and spam filled then letters to the editor. In game, I act differently then in real life. In game, I've earned the right to be competitive.
  22. You just proved him right. It wasn't inflated. The reason it is CRASHING is because of a panic, its not crashing because it was inflated, and then people panicked.
  23. Funny thing, spapdragons falling when they don't even come from MTK :D maybe its cuz the other herbs got cheaper so they used them for herblore and left snaps alone lowering demand The herbs were massively over inflated anyway so t'is all good. Irits at 2.7k? peh. Why? Because demand was high? Maybe you should learn about supply and demand before saying something is "inflated" While people are still consistently buying a product, it can't be too inflated, unless there is a monopoly, panic, or speculation involved.
