An Elitist's View on Crashing
Likewise, not crashing someone only benefits the person I didn't crash, at my own cost. Why is efficiency a bad standard? I am happier finding joy in efficiency rather than joy out of laziness. If I crash someone at TDS, and they try to lure every other TD on me, I just hop. Nothing personal, Or i come back w/ divine and titan and just tank them all.

Is something wrong with the pathfinding?
Its the same reason you can safespot NPC's.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
I'm with nar on this one. Hacking and glitching aren't within the rules, whereas competition is normal in almost any game. I suppose I should let my gear rot in my bank so a level 112 can be happy that I didn't crash him at TDS?

Tip.It Times - 15th August 2010
I agree, with my current account at least. I want everything done myself. However, I disagree with something TS said, about the RWT sites, as they are actually rather safe, in order to keep business. You are far more likely to be "phised" or "keylogged" through an e-mail link, etc then to lose an account from someone gathering gold for you.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
I am finding it hard to source any actual arguments pro-crashing? Other than the repetition of 'better gear, higher levels = god given right' which is cynical. Furthermore I find it interesting the lengths people go to defend their perfectly reasonable act of crashing. I think Sseli gave a perfect one, the most efficient ones should (and mostly do) take president to a spawn(s) then those who are simply the first to that spot. To the KBD'er, why do you think you "own" the spawn? I still havn't heard a good argument for that either.

It seems the only real arguments against crashing are as follows: 1.) Its rude 2.) First come, first serve. Both of which I think are rather naive positions to take.

The Limitations and Uses of Bandos
In some cases, I'd trade off a little bit of efficiency for looks, if merely slaying with bandos. However, since I also solo bandos, and DKS, besides other bosses, bandos is well worth the price for the ranged defense. The argument that slaying with cannon+familiar reduces the efficiency of bandos is only partially true. You may only save 2 minutes a task with bandos when cannoning, compared to 2.5 without a cannon, but you are also doing more tasks total, thus INCREASING the amount of melee damage done. As well, several (admittedly less logical but still actualities) are present, physiological , and preference. I am much more likely to slay when I have bandos, then when I didn't. As well, some people would rather spend less time slaying/etc, and make money with more "fun" methods.

You also have 11m total xp, and obviously havn't MH'ed, so I don't think you can quite render an opinion on this. Oh right because you know for sure that that is his only account Can I be dogmatic? No. Can I be 95% Sure, yes. Judging by small things which lead me to believe he is a new 'scaper, (TIF join date, skills trained, his response, etc) I can be fairly sure it is. As such, I don't think he is qualified to render an opinion, as at least some MH experience is needed to know what you are talking about on this thread.

what are the chances of a second "stone of jas" being in runescape?
I believe Bilrach wants to become more powerful to avoid becoming the next "victim" in the ritual, IIRC

You are wrong about zaros, he isn't the god of chaos at all. He is rather the "Empty lord"

Wait why? Sure, they're entitled to their personal opinions, but if we're arguing for efficiency here, then we have common ground to talk about it rationally. Also @ stonewall: I don't think the onyx(i) makes a substantial difference... and isn't that what's preventing you from keeping your bandos? No, I said I don't use onyx (I). I just had it on for that pic, normally use dstone (i).

Is a Fury really worth the money?
It's not considered to be going in circles if only one person is making arguments and the other person gives no arguments and is HURR DURR 2 MACH MONEE It's called talking to walls. ^Funniest thing I've heard all day. Bloodstain, it comes down to this: You are arguing with people who have more combat xp in ONE skill then you have in ALL. Don't think your ASSUMPTIONS about minor bonuses being negligible are a more powerful or convincing argument then our personal testing and first hand experience. Hell, I spent 30 hours at MA to get a ring with +6 offense and +6 defense, as well as rings with, among other things +8 strength. Why? Because its the best gear. In the long run, it will make up the time, and the sooner you start using superior gear, the more benefit you will reap from the minor bonuses in time. TLDR version: Its the best, its worth it, get it. Part of the reason I have a 52k xp/hr rate in RS, compared to most people's 20-30k is because I'm highly efficient. I'd suggest you learn to be efficient as well, in order to some day leave the land of the "noobs" Vulaxi, I still consider you a noob, as is my prerogative. I remember when I was a noob too, I don't consider it bad, but remember, I also consider 98% of RS "noobs"

Is a Fury really worth the money?
K, the person before me has low melee stats, so its easy to see where he is coming from, about bandos. It has higher range bonuses mate. At places like bandos, where you pray melee, or dks, where you take more range damage then anything, the range bonuses really shine. As for the strength, it does make a difference. The difference between my max without serker (I) and another ring at TDS was over 25 damage, which is quite significant. 1.) Its the best amulet in the game, except AS. 2.) +12 defense, +2 Strength, and +2 strength is quite significant. B tassies only have +1 prayer, and +2 strength, and are 20m+, although granted they also serve as a bandos item, have great range defense (Mainly DKS) and look sweets (to most people) 3.) When you already have all the buyable skills for combat, you'll want the best gear, and some of that gear even before maxing out prayer/summon/herb etc. People pay a premium for small bonuses (Serker ring, for example). 4.) If you can, why not get it, unless you have something else to buy. TBH, you'd be better off selling guthans, getting 68 summoning, and 70 prayer, and buying fury. 5.) The teleports are fairly worthless. I can assure you, tabbing to house and then glorying from a mounted glory when you need one is more efficient then losing the prayer and strength bonus of a fury As to vulaxi, the definition of what makes a noob is rather subjective. Personally, I don't find it necessarily bad to be a noob, I have many on my friends list. A person with untrimmed cooking, strength. fletching, etc would normally qualify as a noob in my book. Its not a negative thing always. However, I find that fact that you are surprised that someone calls you a noob, and blame it on ignorance, is rather laughably naive.

I risk 32m at DKS, solo 2.5brid. The increase in kills/trip and kills/hour is worth it IMO. What do you risk that's 32M? I 2.5 brid / tribrid too and I risk 12M & arcstream at worst. My setup is: Rapier/DDS Crossbow SoL + Arcstream Barrows (or Bandos sometimes) top and bottom Obsidian shield Glory for when I'm not using arcstream Btw, I'm sure DDS is about the same as Claws because supreme's defense is so low... I get about 100-120 kills for 2 yaks (or 5 ovl's depending whichever ends first), including banking time. Approximately 40-50% of my kills are Rex, 30% are supreme, and the rest is Prime. That, except v helm if off task, and dstone (i) ring. Whip and stuff in invy, and 1k casts of surge.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
You know what, no. Point out where I am wrong in any of either my arguments or assessments, or my rebuttals. This is a discussion topic, and i'm pointing out a flaw in many of his arguments, within the boundaries of "minor flaming" allowed by the rules. If a F2P'er wants to come in here and discuss, fine. Some F2P'ers know what they are talking about. However, if they do, pretending they know what they are talking about, and are wrong, they are going to be pounced on far more readily then a P2P'er would be. The straw men iare as follows: First off, he says that I claim he has never been P2P. (Never made such a claim) Secondly, he claims that "And I was mainly referring to normal training and slayer, where speed always wins out over power. " When he talked about CR and CLS at Sara, which is what I responded to. I called him out for talking about GWD, not for any thing else, and he responds talking about CR and CLS at something OUTSIDE GWD, which is also not what I was talking about. A straw man is a logical fallicy where one erects an argument based on a false pretense, and then tears down that argument, or builds it up. His claiming I said he was never P2P, when in reality I said he had no real GWD/Bossing experience, is his construction of a straw man.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
First off, I HAVE been a member so I know what I'm talking about. And I was mainly referring to normal training and slayer, where speed always wins out over power. Maybe I was a bit wrong about bosses, but whatever. Never said you havn't been a member, rather that you havn't done gwd. And you were TOTALLY wrong with your post, so I don't see how its a "whatever" matter, instead its a "I was wrong" matter.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
LOVE the fact that you are F2P, have never been to GWD, know nothing first hand about their defenses, and claim that the difference between CR and CLS isn't huge at GWD, without being able to test this, or even test the difference between whip w/ defender and whip without. (Close to the same accuracy difference as CR to whip) I'm curious, on what do you base your "opinion"? In other words, you are only pretending to know what the hell you talk about, when in reality, you don't. "I'm sure the accuracy difference between whip+dfs and whip+Defender isn't that big of a difference anyways." ETCETC
