Aw, I played for about 5 or 6 years when I was younger and when I first started off I really loved it, well I still like it now. I dont play at all now, I haven't played for the last 2/3 years. Mostly because I didn't own a set of my own and I moved from school to school in between. But as for the other stuff, I have and love my Zildjian sticks. I mostly used 7A nylo and wax, and VicFirth 5A ones I have somewhere aswell. But yeah, great list of resources Range_This, I've decided to somehow get back into playing.

When I was younger I thought that America and all those other countries "left" of the IDL had an extra day in the week [i didn't really understand the concept of timezones back then]. The extra day was in the weekend so I wanted to stay in America or wherever else, haha.

Going skiing for the very first time is so fun. I went sometime last year for about a week, it was pain and agony followed by latent pain and less agony. If your legs aren't bruised to [bleep] by the time you're done, you haven't had enough fun. Oh, if you're going down a difficult course, and you're plowing - you'll probably fall over and [bleep] up everything from your ankles and upwards. I'm telling you now, kick at your skis, take off your boots and run man, run.

It's about the industry of bio-mimicry, how science, although looking towards the stars billions of light years away can't always find the solutions to the problems that are most relevant to us. So, we look to nature and the of usages of natural forms within industry/technology. A bit wordy if you're not the science type, but he does really write fluidly. :thumbup:

There is no fixed air temperature for frosty breath. As meteorologist Tom Skilling explains, two factors determine whether we can see our breath in cold weather: temperature and humidity. Exhaled air has relatively high amounts of moisture from our lungs. When this warm, moist air is chilled, the moisture condenses. The exhaled air is chilled below its saturation temperature, or dew point. For big dramatic clouds of frosty breath, it helps to have humid air. Why? This stops the condensation cloud from evaporating too quickly. The water droplets will last longer in moist air, because the air is already fairly saturated. The outdoor shots in "Dog Day Afternoon" were filmed during the winter, but the story was supposed to take place during the summer. So to make their breath less visible, the actors held ice in their mouths before filming. If air is humid, it's got move water vapour in it. If the air is already saturated with water, the air should be warmer. The actual "fog point" is based on relative humidity [relative humidity is based on temperature] as the solubility of gas in liquid is based on temperature -- cool air holds less moisture. So, if it's more humid, it'll take more temperature to see your breath. If it's a lower humidity it'll take lower temperature to see your breath.
